lovely site

We love Tewkesbury club site as we can walk to town and to pubs however the toilet block really does need refurbishing.

Well earned rest

Location spot on we explored the abbey, browsed the shops walked the paths along the Riverside very beautiful. A nice little farmers market on Saturday morning in the abbey car park, the wardens are lovely nothing to much trouble. And if you have a dog which we do there's loads of walks closer to the site. Definitely recommend this site

Could and should be better!

This is one site I felt is well positioned, being so near the town, but feels overcrowded, noisy and a total lack of privacy. The toilet block needs urgent updating.   Not the CC fault, but the abbey bells, being immediately beside the site, ring every 15 minutes throughout the 24 hrs, so be aware, if you're a light sleeper, you will hear them very clearly.  Because of the risk of flooding, steps to site office etc are steep, out of necessity. Beautiful flower arrangements at front.  Wardens helpful, but this site really does need investment.

Very good location, but disappointing facilities

Stayed overnight midweek - our second stay here. The location is very good, however the facilities really do need sorting out. The door to the ladies shower block was still sticking (as it was last year) and two of the four showers were not working in the ladies shower block (problem also with shower in the mens. Would be happy to stay here again as convenient for overnight stop, but wouldn't book for longer stay due to difficulties with shower blocks - might do if above problems rectified.

Well kept spacious site

This site is very near the local town of Tewkesbury and the Abbey is visible. We did not need our car once in the three days we were there. Nice local pubs and tea rooms. The site had a lot of grass behind the caravans to sit and play. The washrooms were clean, well looked after but dated. It is a very busy site with caravans queuing up to go in and out at 12 midday. The wardens were helpful and friendly. I would visit again.

second visit

This was our second visit to this site. Facilities were adequate but a bit dated. They were kept clean though not sure why the complaints. Was full every day and a bit busy with vans on and off. Grass seemed to be cut daily near the entrance and it looked good but our pitch for the week near the emergency exit was not touched and grass was very long. Spending too much time on display at the front ????

Great location but .......

This is our second visit. We love the location as we are only one and half hours from home. But Caravan Club please do something about the toilet blocks. They are not up to the standard we expect to find on a Caravan Club site.

Ok. But?

Location was excellent for local amenities. Facilities on site desperately need to be upgraded to fall in line with other club sites that we have visited.

Not impressed

Distance from motorway and town centre very good. The bus stop is very close going to Cheltenham and Gloucester. The amenities block really need pulling down and rebuilding as they're not adequate for the amount of vans on site. The door to the ladies on the large block was VERY difficult to open. Grass needs cutting regularly as electric cables are being overgrown causing a trip hazard. As far as amenities concerned it's the worst we've used and won't rush back.

Lovely site but!

This is a site with all grass pitches in an excellent location in the town. It is well maintained. However some members seem to believe it is acceptable to drive across the pitches eveñ when they in use in order to get to pitches in the centre when there are clearly marked access points. This is dangerous and irresponsible. If it had not been for my wife à caravan would have reversed into the side of our motorhome which was on his blind side. Worse still four people were in the awning opposite and he could just as easily have reversed iñto them. Unbelievable! More red and white pegs needed I think.
