Always a pleasure to stay at this site .

Our second visit here did not disappoint. I was surprised at the cheek of some motor homes stopping in a nearby carpark ,coming on site to use the toilets and showers . Think security needs stepping up or a coded lock on the doors like others sites have .But all told a pleasant well kept site with friendly wardens .

Brilliant site, fantastic location

Love this site. Have visited monthly during lockdown as family live nearby. The facilities are spotlessly clean, staff are helpful and friendly. It’s location is fantastic close to town and the beautiful Abbey. Will be back again at the end of September

Very efficient arrivals procedure

Very welcoming wardens who had arrival, friendly greeting, and pitch allocation down to efficient perfection. We arrived on a very busy 'turn over' day, and there were constant arrivals, but no hold-ups nor queues - due to the great system in place. We had a hard standing pitch without awning and there was plenty of space around us, the only slight concern was how close we were to the site roads which meant other units, and pedestrians passed pretty near to the front of our unit. So, although there was plenty of space either side, we felt a little too close to others at the front. This was made worse by children whizzing by far too fast on their bikes, or bouncing their footballs. They were not badly behaved, merely doing what youngsters do. Lesson learnt: don't visit during school hols. The pitch was level and we did not need to use anything. We noticed that a significant number of people did not respect the pitch area of other's - choosing to walk across another's pitch to their unit, rather than stick to the road. Also, a significant number of people allowed their dogs to urinate on pitch areas 'belonging' to others. It's anti-social and unfriendly behaviour, but no fault of the site. Tongue in cheek, but maybe 'site etiquette' should be a compulsory training requirement prior to being accepted as a club member. The facilities were good - very clean and well kept. The cleaning does not take place until later in the day, which is good as the facilities were open all morning. The grounds too are very neat and well maintained. The floral displays around reception were wonderful. The location of the site is very easy - being close to the M5 and the only narrow bit being the final approach to the site. Tewkesbuy itself is a very easy, flat stroll from the site and has a very interesting history. There are loads of eateries, pubs, independant shops and charity shops; also a river walk and boat trips. The Abbey is also very interesting and we enjoyed sung evesong on the Sunday. The Abbey bells keep you informed of the time of day (and night). There is so much history to learn about the area, we have already booked a return trip, of longer duration, to this very neat and well-placed site.

great stay at Tewkesbury

Been going to this site for years and just had another good holiday here. Used to take our kids with us but now its grandkids. Stayed with grandkids in July and they enjoyed the site and the play park outside the site. Later we stayed in August without the grandchildren, very handy for local restaurants etc. Wardens do a great job keeping the site in order and were always smiling and helpful. Look forward to returning next year.

Just returned from a two night stay. The site was well organised and the wardens very helpful. Short stroll into town and lovely walks from the site The Battlefields walk is excellent.

Lovely Site

Firstly lovely site, great facilities and lovely staff, so nice to be so close to Tewkesbury itself, excellent location. We were also very pleased that the shower and toilet facilities were not closed for cleaning in the morning, much more customer friendly to be serviced in the afternoon - in our opinion. We haven't been to this site for a few years and it was the first time we had to use a 'multi surface' pitch, not impressed. Hard standing was booked so that we didn't have to sit out etc on the grass but because we may have wanted to put our sun awning out we had to park right on the edge of the pitch so the pegs for the sun awning could go into the grass. Makes perfect sense but then all of the hard standing was behind the motorhome! We had to spend the holiday sitting on the grass which as it was really only ever meant to be a divider between the pitches originally the grass area was uneven with large holes and quite dangerous really and made putting out a table and chairs quite a challenge. The grass area needs attention as it could cause a nasty accident. I understand what the warden was saying but we had no hard standing to sit on (in front of the motorhome main door) and because awnings etc impact on the gap between pitches a fire break has to be maintained so there is strict parking between two pegs on the pitch. Probably not explaining this at all well but suffice to say we will return at some point in the future I am sure but not on a multi surface pitch until the logistics have been tweaked to make the hard standing area much more useable for CAMC customers. As I say great location and everything else was fine.

Interesting visit

Wife and I stayed for 5 nights with our two dogs. Very cheerful, helpful and friendly wardens. We arrived at 14.30 on a Sunday, told to select a pitch and then go to reception to pay and tell them what pitch we were on. The site is quite big and seems to have a lot of turnover. Shower block and site is very well maintained with beautiful flower displays. It is dog friendly with a large field area just outside the entrance to exercise the dogs off the lead. There is a very innocuous stream running just outside and in heavy rain this floods the site hence the reception and EHP being high off the floor. It is in the shadow of the Abbey and the clock tolls every 15 minutes, 24 hrs a day but didn’t bother us as we have the same situation at home. It is an easy walk into town, which has lots of eateries and dog friendly pubs. There is also a lovely riverside walk and boat trips. Being so close to the town the site is very popular with motorhomes. There is work taking place on a new water main line outside the site and this is noisy during the week with excavators reversing alarms going off all day but this won’t last forever. It is easily accessed off the M5 and is well worth a visit, for seeing the town.

Fabulous site

This is our 4th visit, all the staff are extremely helpful and approachable. The toilet facilities are very clean. It is easy to walk to the high street for gift shops with Aldi and Tesco's also within walking distance. Great range of good takeaways and bakeries. Beautiful part of the country and a very pretty site full of flowers. It is a pity that more people don't stay a bit longer :-)

Well situated site but abbey bells chime all night

This is a well looked after site in a good location. Short walk to interesting town with various shops and pubs etc. However the abbey bells chime all night on the hour so take some ear plugs with you! It’s a very busy, popular site being near the motorway and I do think they have crammed in a few too many pitches so it has (I think) a rather overcrowded feel.
