Great site, will be returning!!

Have only stayed on a couple of caravan club sites but this one is lovely. Staff very friendly, picked our own pitch with plenty to choose from. Large hard standing pitch. Easy to get my unit onto even being a long caravan and car combo. Pegs went in with no issues. Shower block very clean with proper showers....hate the ones you have to keep pressing the button every 5 seconds and be double jointed!! Kids loved the park and close to the beach. The Chinese take away in Sutton on sea is great, not greasy like some we've had, although they didn't take card payment. We will use this site again!!!!

Well kept peaceful site

Peaceful site next to circular tourist path -gentle 40 minute walk to a fantastic quiet beach great for dogs or shell collectors. Sutton on Sea has enough for basic needs and a great little sweet shop where proprietor make his own yummy chocolates. Fine for a couple of nights with a motorhome but feel would need seperate transport for a longer stay or make use of the fairly regular bus service at the end of the road.

Another great break - for the grandchildren

Stayed for 5 nights at the beginning of April 2017. Site was very quiet even though the local schools were on holiday - only 3 children on site at the beginning of the holiday. The site was peaceful, beautifully kept by the wardens, toilets always spotless. Plenty to do in the surrounding area, missed out on Alford Windmill because it is only open Sundays, but visited Hardy's farm park at Ingoldmells for the first time and had a great day there. Mablethorpe doesn't change much nor do Chapel St Leonards and Ingoldmells. For those wanting TV the signal is good and I was able to tune in over 100 channels on Freeview although that did need the aerial amplifier to be switched on. The grandchildren especially enjoyed Farmer Brown's ice cream and going onto the Promenade at Sutton in the evening to ride their scooters. They also enjoyed the food from the mobile chippy which was on site on Wednesday - but only for about half an hour. Don't know if it stays longer when the site is busier. The final icing on the cake was not having to be gone by 10am because the site wasn't too busy. My son and daughter in law came for the day just before we left and our grandaughter wanted to go home with her mummy, but grandson really enjoyed himself and wished he could have stopped another few nights to make it a week! Thanks for everything club staff!

One very happy dog who didn't want to come home!

We have found the welcome always friendly at Caravan Club sites, but this one takes the number 1 slot, it was their first day of opening and they are certainly off to a great start. The site is very well laid out with separate areas which creates privacy. It is extremely well looked after. Good ample facilities. The dog walk is off site but we just put ours in the back of the car first thing, he was happy to cross his legs, as the most fantastic beaches are only a few minutes drive away. The restrictions for dogs come in from 1st May so recommend visiting before then. We had not been to the Lincolnshire coast since being kids, and loved it. Lots of long great beaches, traditional beach holiday towns to visit, enjoy and have a good giggle. Its very flat for towing but lots of bends in the road, they certainly didn't like building straight roads. We will certainly be back.....well that's what we have told the Dog on the way home.

Nice site

Stayed at Sutton on Sea for the first time during October half time. Very nice site, wardens very friendly. Pitches good size. Shower blocks a bit dated but always very clean. Nice play area. Convenient site for walking to beach in about 15 minutes. Mablethorpe only about 4 miles away and can bike along sea front so no traffic . Alford worth a visit. Went to Grange and Links for a meal, good food. Very busy as we went Halloween weekend. Ten minute walk from site. All in all a lovely weekend away.

October was better than April!

And that's because the nearby bird scarer wasn't working! Spotlessly clean, as always, wonderful wardens - the A153 was closed at Tattersall Bridge when I came and according to local radio was going to be closed for 2 or 3 weeks. Mentioned it to one of the warden team and withing minutes a notice was up in the toilet entrance advising all visitors who may have to travel that way. Only got hardstandings in use at this time of year, but that didn't matter, the site wasn't quite full. Local amenities, although a bit reduced because of the time of year, were still open and very enjoyable. Sad to see one or two shops in Sutton on Sea have closed permanently since April, but Mablethorpe is only a few miles up the coast and they were fully open for business. Really enjoyed my stay again this year, as did my wife and our grandchildren. Had some wonderful neighbours who chatted and exchanged ideas, especially about air awnings. Great time, recommended for everyone, although if the grass is wet (as it was when we were there) you do need to keep a close eye on young children to ensure they don't get wet and muddy!

A Pretty Site

Our first tour of Lincolnshire so a first to Sutton on Sea.  We received a very warm welcome from the wardens and were advised not to get our wheels on the grass due to heavy rain making soggy ground.  No problem we have a seasoned driver, not one of our 12 tyres touched the grass!  The site is quite shaded by trees which might cause problems to Satellite signals.  During our stay we had extremely windy wet weather but luckily we were not under trees.  The toilet block was very clean and functional but does need updating.  There is a splendid beach where you can park about a mile or so from Sutton on Sea towards Skegness (no parking charge while we were there).  Also the Fat Seagull is worth a visit for lunch.

sea sutton on sea

showers need an update roads are narrow which does not help when trying to get on your pitch without going on the grass the site is in a off the beaten track position and in and the lighting is not good poor location at todays standards the lack of a dog walk is not good and having to go off-site at 23.00 hrs onto a non lit lane is a no-no nice wardens the pitches are laid out well there is plenty of area on-site for a dog walk also i think service pitches could be introduced to 10 pitches
