Such a peaceful and beautifully laid out site

We spent a few nights in April at this lovely site. It’s spacious, beautifully kept and with very friendly caretakers. The site felt cosy and welcoming. It is a tidy, but flat walk to the coastal path. It is Lincolnshire, and everywhere is flat, which suits us well as one of the party used a mobility scooter. The wonderful coastal walk is such a pleasure with the dunes, the wild empty beaches, and cute beach huts, and the area is a world away from the gaudiness and noise of Skegness and the like. Unlike the commercialised resorts, there was noticeably less litter and uncollected dog faeces. The facilities on the site were spotless and we had to do very little levelling.

Great site but consider your requirements re location

This site is extremely well maintained and the facilities and general cleanliness is top notch with effective COVID measures in place. Staff are very helpful and friendly. This was the first time we have used a club site despite having been members for a couple of years and overall the site was excellent and the other campers very friendly. However we left after just two nights of our four night stay. The reason was that the surrounding area and particularly the coastal towns, including Skegness, really were not our cup of tea and something of a disappointment to us. We are not big walkers or cyclists but I can see that the very flat countryside would be a draw if you are and the sea is definitely closeish to the site if that is important to you. If, however, like us you like rolling hills or mountains and a scenic outlook then this area may not be for you. One final word; we tried the chip van on our first night after a long and very hot journey and were unimpressed. Our meal was lukewarm at best, the portion small (although not expensive) and the chips and batter were definitely soggy and unappealing. Perhaps we got them on a bad day but I would not try it again.

Great Site.

We spent four terrific nights at this site. What a great place for dog walking with excellent walks from site and the beach less than a mile away. Very clean and maintained site. Very helpful & friendly wardens. Definitely a top site.

Confidence boost

Having lost my husband to cancer last April, I was nervous about caravanning alone. I had towed but never hitched up or unhitched. However, I was determined to learn as it is something I love doing. I arrived at Sutton and explained my situation and the very friendly warden helped me to reverse onto the pitch and unhitch. Another warden helped me to hitch up at the end of my three night stay. Don't be scared; give it a go even if you are alone as people will help. ( And ladies, practice now, share the tasks, you never know when you'll need to do it. What if your husband was ill or had an accident?) The site is great with wonderful walks along the beach and cycle path. Anderbery Creek and Chapel St Leonards were good places to visit. I will be back.

Lovely Peaceful Site

Second trip of the year to a very peaceful site with very welcoming and helpful wardens, particularly the lady in reception. Facilities spotlessly clean and site looked very well maintained.

Great first trip of the year

Great site, very well managed by friendly and considerate staff. The facilities were kept clean and the site was immaculate throughout our stay. We have a motorhome so used our electric bikes to good effect for shopping in Sutton (5 minutes by bike 30 minutes walking), rides along the prom and trips to Anderby Creek (friendly cafe) and Mablethorpe. The hourly busses run from Mablethorpe through Sutton past the site to Skegness hourly. The wardens have installed a new gate with keypad at the back end of the site and this provides a safer and shorter access for humans and dogs to the footpaths to the beach, Sutton Town centre and to the old Sutton Branch Line walkway (a very pleasant tree lined footpath), avoiding Crabtree Lane. The beach nearest to the site is dog friendly and much appreciated by our dogs. There was an expected delay on arrival common to all sites because of the Coronavirus restrictions but once in reception registration was efficient as usual. This could also have affected members with other enquiries but thoughtfully another warden came from the back entrance of the office to offer assistance to members waiting outside with other queries. This later benefitted my wife when collecting a delivery in the pouring rain. A warden recognised her and appeared with the parcel to save my wife from a soaking whilst waiting for the office to clear. The necessary Coronavirus restrictions were clear and well managed. Despite the very cold and wet weather at first we enjoyed our stay very much. Grateful thanks to the wardens.

Much Longed for Holiday!!

Normally March is our 1st holiday away each year, but alas it was not possible this year so obviously we were itching to get away. we picked Sutton On Sea as we've been here twice before and loved it, mainly because it is so peaceful. It was nice to have a modern toilet block as the other one was outdated. As always the block was kept very clean amid covid restrictions. The only nit pick we had about the band system was with other members not doing what they were instructed to do by the signage. Come on people read the notices properly as it only spoils it for other members. There were people taking bands off the hooks and taking them into block with them instead of putting on hook. There were bands left on hooks even when there was nobody in! Wardens very friendly and hard working, kept the site grounds immaculate. The visiting chip van was well worth a visit and very reasonably priced. The only other negative point is like lots of other sites, certain members still think that the 5mph speed limit does not apply to them, we noticed this almost every day a lot of the time it was new arrivals who seem to think that it's a race to get a pitch, there are enough pitches for everyone so please SLOW down! Really don't what the answer is to combat this problem. All in all a very relaxing week, we will return in the future!

Bank holiday weekend break

Returned today after a nice weekend break. Initially booked for Saturday and Sunday night but had a bit of luck with my new job. Tried to add Friday night and succeeded. We were met at the gate and fast tracked into the site by the warden. After a steady drive around the site we found our ideal grass pitch in the corner. Lots of space and near to the reception. This was a trial break with our new rescue dog... and we loved it. The dog walk is ideal, the walk to the beach is easy and we even managed a walk to Mablethorpe and back. The facilities were great, well organised for covid and really clean. The wardens were chatty and pleasant and doing a great job of keeping the site. All in all a great site which we liked a lot. Yes we will be back, yes we will recommend it - a nice well kept site.

Perfect

Fabulous site, couldn't fault anything during our stay. Great wardens, always ready to go that extra mile to help. Excellent facilities although the showers were closed due to Covid, no problem as we were on a service pitch. Good TV signal and Wifi speed. Everything was spotless and we'll kept. Good size level flat pitches with countryside views and walks direct from the site to the beach and town. Fabulous beaches and plenty to see in the area.
