Lovely site

Lovely relaxed site right by the sea. Large hardstanding pitches.Spotless facilities, drying room was great to get towels dry. Ideal for families with a leisure centre next door and a large plaground in addition to the small plaground on site. Lovely fish and chips from the Bay,2 minutes from the site. It gave you the trawler the fish came from and the farm the potatoes were from.Take a bag as they don't pack the food in a bag. If we were in this part of Scotland again we would definitely book this site.

Excellent Site

An absolutely Immaculate, spotlessly clean and well kept site. I spoke with the new wardens who were both very friendly and looking forward to the season ahead. Not that I am a connoisseur of toilets, but cant help but mention that it is as well kept as the rest of the site, and warm, as is the utility room. The pitches themselves are spacious on hard standing with plenty fresh water points never far away. We have been a good few times before, this was only for 1 night, testing out our new motorhome along with the TV. We purchased the on-site Wi-fi to test out the TV, although the service was there, couldnt get signed in through the CaMHC site. Weather was particullarly bad so we put it down to that or the CaMHC service, but certainly not the site itself. All amenities just minutes walk away and various walks around the area. Our kids are a bit older now so it`s just the two of us that head off, but there is plenty to do for younger families My own preference is West/North West coast, but it is a lovely site to visit and cannot be faulted in it`s upkeep. Well done the wardens (sorry forgot your names) and no doubt see you again soon. G & A

We were here again for a week end break, yes the weather could have been warmer but it didn't rain until we were hitching up to leave!! The wardens were friendly and helpful which makes for an enjoyable week end. The dogs love the site as they can go paddling swimming if we don't stop them in the sea!! Our grand daughter loves to visit Stonehaven as she can ride her bike or scooter, have an ice cream from Aunty Betty's and a meal at Mollys well what more can you say! As ever the site facilities are second to none for cleanliness. Already booked our next week end!

Very clean and tidy. Toilet/shower block can not be beaten. Lovely coastal walks. Plenty of supermarkets, cafes, bars and places to eat in the town. Site is very accessable for caravans and motorhomes alike, and priced very well. Pitches have loads of space with level hard standing

Stonehaven

A lovely site with helpful and friendly wardens. Great location and lots to see and do in the area. Good for food takeaway and eat in. I have two worries about the site, firstly the water in the dishwashing area is not hot enough and is in my opinion a real Health and Hygene concern surely we are not saving money on such an important facility. Secondly the site has no dog bins leading to thoughtless owners putting dog waste in ordinary bins not very nice when using the bins. There are any amount of bins outside the site so this bad practice is unnecessary. But still overall a great site.

Dogs favourite!

We have been to this site many times, it is one of our favourites and less than 50 miles from home, great for a weekend with THE best fish & chips from The Bay. Our 2 dogs love the walks by the sea, through the woods and in the park. We love the new addition of music in the facilities block. Now, this being the seaside there are seagulls, which can be noisy especially when they have young, I love the sound of them (we also live near the sea) Strangely enough dogs bark, it's their way of communicating, dogs love holidays too, we wouldn't dream of going on holiday without our 2 dogs!!! I think we need some new sited dedicated to the moaners who clearly don't enjoy their holidays, or maybe they need soundproof caravans!

Noises site full of dogs

This is a nice clean site on the sea front - we didn’t get a very warm welcome from the wardens - we intended to stay here for 2 nights but at 4am in the morning the seagulls started crying this went on until past 6am then the dogs in the site started barking. We live in Cornwall by the sea so we are used to gulls and their noise but here it was just unbearable. Hence our move from his site to another after just one night.. With regard to the dogs - this site had so many dogs that when one started barking another did and then another - the Club really needs to be more strict with these arrogant dog owners who think it’s ok to sit and allow their dogs to bark. We have been a dog owner ourself and never really saw the need to take our dog on holiday with us very often but when we did we certainly don’t allow it to bark everytime someone walked by. Come on Club - sometime needs to be done. On their trip we visited a private site which allowed NO dogs and that was such a quiet lovely site - perhaps the Club could have some NO dog sites too?
