Fabulous site.
We only live locally but we come to steamer at least 3 times a season. It's a little gem. The facilities and site are spotless. The wardens are friendly and the position of the site is great. The car is not needed as the bus & train links are good. Totnes is a really friendly town. The pubs are good & there are a great selection of individual shops. We have walked to Dartington along the river & also to Tuckenhay( more challenging) but a lovely walk with spectacular views. A trip on the river to Dartmouth is a must. We will be back again in July & August.
Outstanding welcome
This site is a real gem. Not only a really convenient location but somewhere you feel genuinely welcome. The wardens were lovely. Smiles and good humour all through our four day stay - despite some pitches being rather waterlogged. Master class in how to get off wet grass using mats! Never too busy to talk to you properly and help out with any questions.
One of the friendliest sites we've stayed on. We will definitely be going back.
A nice suprise
We came to Steamer Quay for 1 night and stayed 4. An excellent little site in a super location right by the river Avon and the town of Totnes, run by two super helpful wardens.
Lovely Location
This site is ideally located for exploring Totnes and cycling to Dartington and beyond. It is quite small and very quiet given that it is very near to the town, close enough for a take away coffee if that is what you like. It is keep very clean and tidy by the friendly wardens, a real Devon treasure by the river Dart and the round robin bus, steam train and boat ride to a Dartmouth are on your doorstep. The walk along the river is ideal for walkers with or without a dog.

Super Club site
We have recently spent three nights at Steamer Quay an although fairly new to motorhoming felt it was the nicest one we have stayed on so far.So close to the town but quiet; handy for good bus service; good walks by the river and very pleasant and helpful wardens.
Although we like to use our own facilities on the van the toilets and showers etc. looked very spick and span. To conclude we hope the site stays just like it is.

Peace and Quiet
We had a weeks stay at Steamer Quay and loved it. Very lucky with the weather too. The site is excellently maintained by the very helpful wardens. Facilities are simple, clean and in my opinion just right for a quiet low key site. Please do not modernise with electric hookup. We will definitely be back.
We love Steamer Quay
This is a totally selfish review. We love Steamer Quay just the way it is, no electric and no internet! This is why it's a quiet site, in my view. The Wardens are extremely friendly and will go the extra mile to help you. I love that the pitches are on grass and that it is so close to everything. Don't change a thing.
