Read directions in book as satnav does want you to go to the other site that backs onto this one.Copilot made sure we were on right track.
Lovey site nice pitch in middle plenty of space between vans and clear in the middle. Views from site and sunrise and sunset beautiful.
We use legs, electric bikes and local transport once pitched up and although I had a printed off the cycle route we spent our 4 days walking.
Easy to get into St David’s, small town we like the Farmers Arms pub for a drink as the Bishops had all inside tables empty but reserved for later and we couldn’t sit inside.
Did 2 walks over St David’s Head and Carn Llidi , would say in places some climbing to do if following the coast path. We also walked a circular walk from Whitesands to St Justinians and back on coast path.
Spent a few hours watching the surf school on a Whitesands beach.
Beautiful place we will be back here.
Lovely site with the added bonus of maybe spotting a badger
Access a bit confusing as not signed clearly. There is a nother site with the same name next door and we ended up in there (we were told this happens on a regular basis). Lovely welcome on check in and they apologised for all the badgers that visit as night (thought seeing badgers would be a lovely bonus). My partner did see one late at night but I missed it. This is a lovely laid out site and the shower & toilet facilities spotless. Would definitely recommend this site.

Lovely Site and Stunning Location
We have stayed in this site in numerous occasions and the toilet cleaning was always early at 10.30am, however it is now at 10.00am resulting in a manic rush by everyone one wanting to use the facilities. We assumed this is because there are only two wardens on duty at a time where most sites have more than this which enables visitors a more leisurely start to the day.
Everything else about the site is lovely so only the one complaint😩
Lovely Wardens, beautiful wild location
Firstly I need to say that the wardens and managers are lovely, the warmest and friendliest we have met so far.
Site itself is basic, but very well kept. no shop on site (but there is a great shop and supermarket at site next door)
There are signs up everywhere for no ball games and as there is no playing field on this site and only a small park, not much for kids to do on site.
The location is stunning! If you like star gazing you are in for a treat. Very little light pollution giving an excellent view of the Milky Way on a clear night, pitches 25-27 at the back end of the site are excellent for thus (as long as your not pitched next to members who like flashing fairy lights all night or awning lights brighter than the surface of the sun!)
I would probably avoid pitching near toilet block, sceptic tanks and dog walking strip. I found the smell of the sceptic tanks around that area a little overwhelming at Times.
WhiteSands beach is beautiful but not dog friendly
It is a 15 minute walk away BUT it is down a pretty steep one track road - there is a big carpark at the bottom. that charges £5 for the day
Didn’t see any badgers but did see lots of rabbits and ravens
Lleithyr Meadow is our happy place
We've been coming here for many years and the site is the best, in terms of location, views, operations, facilities, pitches etc. Ideally placed for walking to St Davids, or along the coast patch or down to Whitesands beach.
Friendly staff and a spotless site.
Five days, and never saw a single badger,,,,,
Just back from a 5 night stopover here. The site is very convenient for local access to the city, with quite a few eating and drinking options and a superb ice cream parlour. It took us 30 min to walk to the cathedral, but the Celtic Coaster no.403 mini bus was a better option, stops right outside the entrance and worth the £1.50 (or £3 for all day hop on hop off). The walk down to Whitesands Beach was a bit too traffic heavy. The car park there is way overpriced as are the loos. The Coast Path is in nearby reach, this can take you to the Blue Lagoon and Porthgain , both well worth exploring – these also doable by bus if you do a bit of planning. The site is all grass, we didn’t notice any mowing going off – it was the heatwave after all, and the facilities block closes at 1000 for cleaning which as repeated endlessly is a bit early. Not certain if the disabled unisex one is available as an alternative. Lots of signs amplifying the ‘No Ball Games’ rule. Good. Pity some campers seemed unable to read these. This site is right next door to a commercial one (Lleithyr Farm) and there is some noise at times from here. They don’t seem to do ‘No Ball Games’ btw. However, that site has a really good shop, which the CAMC one hasn’t. Another thing we noticed is that the the recycling and general waste bins were the large industrial ‘Biffa’ type, not dustbins, also you had to trek to near the entrance to dispose of glass items separately. This is a bit like some CCC sites, is the CAMC adopting the same policy one wonders. Oh - didn’t see any Badgers!
Badger entering awnings at this site
We are very surprised other reviews don't mention the badger problem on this site. Other members we spoke to on site during our recent stay had all had a badger enter their awnings in the nights.
The wardens did not warn us on arrival about wild animals known to roam there at nights. Our neighbours either side on site were warned, so why weren't we?
Our young son left 1 small sealed cereal box inside a zipped, closed picnic rucksack which was totally damaged by the badger, along with other items damaged by it too.
Above all, having badgers entering your awning is a significant hygiene and safety problem.
We rated it low on family friendly due to the reminders in several places of no ball games or Frisbee games. No other CC site we've stayed at have ever been that strict. Maybe the no ball warning is related to balls touching the rabbit or badger faeces on the site? We won't be returning to this site. St David's is a beautiful area but the experience and damaged caused by the badgers totally ruined our holiday here.
Excellent
First visit to Pembrokshire. Lucked out booking Lleithyr Meadow, fantastic site in a beautiful location. So much to do in local area. Thoroughly recommended!
Excellent heatwave week0
Arrived on sat 16th July just after 1pm with couple vans in front, as not much waiting room and block others coming in or out of site the Warden was out asking if been on the site before, if yes was allowing you to drive round find pitch then come back and tell them. Good idea to clear entrance. Keeping new people to site I guess so to explain the parking rules which i still noticed a few who had parked wrong side of the peg.. so after reading the new magazine when I got home the article about trying g out 2 pegs to park between sounds lime a good idea for those who don't know their left from rights..also noticed the wardens a bit relaxed on the tent side of things as was a tent pitched by a van which was not a drive away awning at all on arrival and day before I left another van had a tent pitched on car parking side of van..
Besides those couple of issues we had a fantastic week once again on this site..
Excellent Site
We are motorhomers and have stayed here for 4 nights and have had a super time. All pitches are grass, they are spacious and the site is very well kept. It’s a shame people feel the need to find the shortest route from their pitch to wherever they are going whether it be to the toilet block or driving their vehicles off their pitch. They almost walk in the door as they go past or when driving think they do not need to go the route on or off the grass but drive through the parked vans. It’s a great area, stunning walks along the coast path and around, also possible to walk into St David’s. Well Done wardens.
