Stayed on the last weekend of Silverbanks season. Still more than 20 caravans on site, and everything on this site was still all perfect.
This site is only 45 minutes from our home and is a great village to go to for any weekend. Weather was poor but didn't stop a magical bonfire and fireworks display.
Roll on the start of Silverbank new season,we'll be back.
Royal Deeside Base Camp
Could not be better located for exploring Royal Deeside - on the Castle Trail and the nearby Crathes Castle walled garden is a must-visit.
Pubs & cafes are within walking distance as are two supermarkets. A frequent bus service stops at the gate. The facilities are perhaps a little dated, but cleanliness and piping hot water are always taken-as-read at club sites. Friendly and helpful wardens. Ideal site for a short break.
One night break
lovely site, very friendly wardens, nice clean albeit small toilet block, only met one person ! so not a problem. Walked in to the town by the river and the tesco nearby was fab. Would love to come back in the summer.

Third time
This is our third visit to Silverbank. We love Banchory and explore somewhere different each time. The staff are lovely and friendly and the site is well maintained. The facilities are a wee bit tired but the price is good.
Golden Retreat
This must be my favourite site on the Caravan Club network. It's peaceful, Pitches are a great size well laid out garden grounds kept immaculate by the wardens who are very lovely people. Great dog walk down the deeside way alongside the River Dee. 10/10 for this site I see seasonal pitches have just started here. the only down side it gets very busy and booked up by locals at weekends and often site rules are overlooked which should not be the case. Otherwise if you want a weekend book early.
Nice but tired
I have stayed on this site several times over the years and always enjoy the site and area. The site is tidy and maintained well by the wardens, however, some money requires to be spent on it as the facilities are rather tired and are insufficient when the site is full. There was heavy rain during our recent visit and the pathway to the water and waste facilities was under two inches of water as the path is lower than the surrounding grass area. This is not ideal and could be rectified by a contractor in the closed season.

Great Time
It was a long way to go from the South, but worth every moment. The drive through Cairn O' Mount was very cloudy so views were non existent. The way back was very different. Having arrived the wardens (not the regular ones) were most friendly and helpful, which is valuable to a lone traveller! It is a lovely site, though beware of the traffic noise. There is so much to see and plenty of walking. The views are glorious from anywhere and the driving in Scotland is still a "doddle". Even in a motorhome. If I am ever in the vicinity again, I would return without hesitation. It was a carefully planned trip staying in different places and Silverbank was the highlight.
showers
the site is very good, clean shower block etc. but is 3 showers per gender sufficient for over 60 pitches? we did not think so in the morning we had to queue up to use them. Apart from that a very good site.
Brilliant site
Perfect site with all amenities close to hand, on site facilities were excellent, couldn't ask for more. We will be back.
