We had 4 nights booked at this site, but unfortunately had to leave early due to bad weather. We have now been 5 times and its a lovely site. Tesco is within a 5 min walk and Banchory not too far with a farmers market every 3rd Saturday. There are bus stops right outside where you can get into Aberdeen or go the other way into Aboyne or Ballater. There is a little road noise as you are next to a busy road but we didn't find it a problem and its quiet at night. Its a fairly level small site. Its our go to site. No complaints at all
Leaping Salmon at Falls of Feugh
This is a lovely site. Lovely clean facilities, nice big pitches. Easy walking routes alongside the River Dee and well worth the walk to Falls of Feugh to see leaping salmon when it rains the day before. Always wanted to see and this site delivered. We also had fantastic delivered pizzas from Mamma Mia. Hand made and the large ones are large and very yummy. Definitely will be back next October and hope the sun will be as happy to be out next year!
A well tended and relaxing site to visit.
We try to visit Silverbank a couple of times a year for its relaxing and attractive setting. It is a consistently well tended and organised venue with an open feel whist being close to all the facilities needed and a wealth of places to visit and walk.
We must particularly say thanks to Mark and Sam whose friendly and very helpful style of site management is great and we wish them all the best for their new adventures in the Borders.
Lovely Clean Dog Friendly site.
Stayed here a few times now and never had any issues, staff very helpful and site very clean. Nice fenced off dog area to let the dogs have a run around. Will be back soon!
Silver bank banchory
Silver bank is a lovely tidy site due to the wardens Sam and Mark who go out of their way to help you. The site is really very tidy and good walking distance to Tesco . It not very far from our home but it is well worth it. Some sites you never see a warden after you check in but Sam and Mark are always going about and always busy. Definitely recommend it

Another lookaround
The site is clean and well maintained and I would come again. Shops/Supermarkets are nearby but not really within walking distance. We chose the site in order to visit Aberdeen, Ballater, Balmoral and Braemar, which we enjoyed. Dolphins at the mouth of the river Dee at the old fort were impressive. The only drawback was the road noise. If you want to try and avoid that go the 4th row of pitches, we had some nice late afternoon sun by selecting a pitch at the eastern side of the site.

Second visit here
Silverbank, Banchory is only 35 minutes drive from my home therefore very easy to get to for a weekend away.
Sam and Mark are very nice and helpful wardens who work hard maintaining the high standards at the site.
The site is peaceful although there can be a little bit of traffic noise if pitched on the north side of site.
We like Silverbank and will definitely visit again.
Star gazers will love the pitch black skies at night.
Tip - If putting up an awning, I suggest good pegs are needed in this part of the country; I bent a few pegs hammering them into the ground.

If only
Wish this site was closer to home as it has everything we need. In an idea spot for walking & cycling also close to supermarkets & Banchory which is a nice town. We visited 2 national Trust properties nearby. Lovely to be able to walk down to the River in a few minutes. Thanks to the hardworking wardens Mark & Sam.
Perfect for a chill out
Been coming to Silverbank for a few years now and we’ve never been disappointed. It’s nice and flat with generous sized pitches spaced out adequately. The toilet facilities though showing their age are spotlessly clean and tidy. The showers whilst not the most spacious provide piping hot water at a very good pressure. Tesco and Morrisons are an easy walk from the sight with the town of Banchory a little further on. Although there is a busy road adjacent to the site road noise is negligible. The site road is not used as a race track and we saw now evidence of anyone abusing site rules. The wardens who are business like and friendly are alway on the go working to maintain what is a lovely site. Well done to one and all..we will be back.
