Seacroft is ideally situated to explore the North Norfolk coastline by foot or by bus, or by car if you have one. The walk into Cromer could not be easier, and to Sheringham (although longer) is pleasant along the beach or the cliff-top. The site is spacious and well maintained. Staff shortages meant bar and restaurant closures but that is surely not the end of the world, and hardly the fault of the wardens. On the day we arrived there were 50 other arrivals due, but the wardens retained their good humour and "stacked" the outfits as best they could at the entrance. As to the flaking paint on the woodwork at the service point mentioned by a previous reviewer I would hardly say this ruined my holiday, and it tends to be characteristic of any property next to the sea towards the end of a busy season. I would rather the wardens cleaned the toilets and emptied the dustbins (as they do come rain or shine) than paint a bit of fencing that nobody really sees unless they go looking.
Great site, nice layout, easy walk to Cromer
Found this to a be a good site, 4g access good, staff very helpful during a very busy season. Dog walk limited within immediate area of site but not a long walk to the large field that doubles as the extended Cromer car park. Would recommend. To some previous reviews, we live in unusual times, a balanced and reseaonable expectation of how hard the staff and camc are working would be sensible and less stressful to those individuals that are so unhappy.

Disappointing And To Be Final Visit.
Having had several lovely holidays here, This time far from hit the mark.
On arrival are informed there is:
No restaurant,
No Bar apart from a few hours on the Sunday evening.
No entertainment,
No swimming pool.
Bar prices have changed from £2.75 to £4.25 within a year....No notice of the dramatic increase.
No prior notice to any of all the above to give us a chance to conceder a cancelation.
I feel the site has taken a very sad fall from the very high standards it used to once uphold, To now upping prices to cover the lack of facilities they now provide.
After 5 years in the club, This has certainly confirmed this to be my last year in CAMC,
Great Location, but rather tired
We have just returned from our latest tour which started at Seacroft near Cromer. The location is perfect for exploring North Norfolk. The North Norfolk Coastal Path is on the opposite side of the road to the site and so is easily accessible. Having found the path heading east and following it to Overstrand we decided we would like to head west to Sherringham. Unfortunately due to the cliff crumbling the path has been re-routed along the road, but with very poor signage. I asked one of the wardens where we could re-join it on our next walk, but he had no idea, and seemed somewhat bemused that I should be asking. In fact the path can accessed about 200 metres west of the site so I was even more surprised that the warden didn't. know.
On arrival we had the usual warm welcome (from a different warden) and were able to choose our pitch. We chose one in a corner that was quite sloping (as are most pitches) but ok with blocks. We felt the pitches were quite close together compared to other sites we have stayed at.
The condition of the service points was also a disappointment. The paint was peeling off the wood and there were rust stains underneath the bins. It felt rather neglected and tired.
In summary a great location and if the wardens knew the local area and and maintained the service points better, my ratings would have been higher.
Lovely site, pity about the bar!!
We have just returned from our second visit of the year to Seacroft. The site is lovely and clean, the wardens are very welcoming and friendly, always busy, but never too busy for a chat to make sure everything is ok.
It's just a pity that there was no information before we arrived about the bar.
Unfortunately the bar didn't open at all on Monday & Tuesday, the rest of the week the opening time was 15.00 for the bar but food wasn't served until 16.30. So much revenue lost in my opinion, with a facility like that I can't believe it isn't open for breakfasts & lunches.
But we will be back next year so fingers crossed for the bar.
A wonderful stay
We have just returned from Cromer and thoroughly enjoyed our time on the Seacroft site. The wardens were very happy and friendly and went the extra mile to try and help us when necessary. The pool was wonderful and the lifeguard very friendly and was doing a great job. The facilities were spotless. We hope to return soon again.
Great site, with onsite bar and swimming pool!
This was our first visit to this site and we would happily come back if we're in the area.
The site is well situated in a quiet village, with nearby access to a beach. We walked into Cromer on the beach and it took about 30 minutes, with a 20 minute walk back on the road. The site itself is well laid out, and we got a pitch at the back of the area behind the pool, which was a decent size and well-shaded by trees - a bonus in the hot weather we encountered, but maybe a bit noisy if you get heavy rain! The site is fairly sloping, so blocks were needed.
The toilet facilities were good, with adjustable temp and flow on the showers. The shower cubicle was fairly spacious, with hooks and a toiletry rack, but, disappointingly, no bench seat in the drying area. I find it quite difficult these days to balance on one leg whilst getting dressed without my clothes getting wet! As ever, the cleaning is done in the morning at the most inconvenient time, but this can't be resolved without the addition of a second shower block. I made the mistake of only checking the times on the ladies' showers, so didn't realise that the gents would be done at a different time.
The best part of our stay was the Wanderer Pub. Onsite food and drink at a reasonable price. The food was excellent and the staff were very good. There are a couple of pubs and a chippy in East Runton and, of course, plenty of options in Cromer, but we just didn't bother after eating in the Wanderer the first night. The swimming pool looked lovely, but we didn't manage to find time to try it.
First visit, lovely site.
This was our first visit to this site the wardens are very pleasant and helpful, we had asked prior to our arrival if it would be possible to have a pitch close to the toilet block as my wife is disabled, when we arrived the warden had done just what we requested. The facilities are very clean and well looked after, the only moan i have is that on the central grassed area of pitches everyone cut across other peoples pitches, taking no notice of Club Site Rule 3d. The site is well placed for visiting the area of North Norfolk with some lovely towns close by, we will be back to this site again.
Besides the sea.
Always good to see the sea !!
Hectic arrivals just after 1pm.choice of pitch so got one of the few level pitches.
Very busy and not too noisy early am and in evenings.toilet block really humid and not very pleasant to be in.I thought places should be ventilated with Covid still around.
Site handy for cromer and sheringham.
