a lovely convenient site

We love this site, 10 minutes to Scarborough North Beach, an hour to York and 30 minutes to the Yorkshire Dales.  I didn't use the facilities as I use our own but my son who prefers a longer shower did use the facilities and said the showers were great.  Would have loved to stayed longer but site was fully booked.  One tip make sure you have an ariel lead as TV reception is poor.

A corker of a site !

Stayed at this site for 3 weeks in August.  It is one of the best club sites we have stayed on and a great deal of thanks has to go to the wonderful wardens who maintain the site and facilities spotlessly.  They are very helpful and friendly but do their jobs in such a subtle manner you hardly notice they are there!  The activities on site for kids are great and kept our 11 year old and 4 year old both entertained, as previously mentioned the cache hunt and tourer explorer activities were most welcome.  The dog walk on site is great and leads to other walks around the area.  This a lovely site if you want to be close enough to traditional seaside towns and beaches, yet far enough away from all the hustle and bustle that goes with them. If you want a smaller traditional seaside town, try Filey as an alternative to Scarborough, it has a lovely dog friendly beach and still has a small fairground and a few shops. There are many other great places to visit within an hours drive, we would definately recommend the Yorkshire Air Museum in Elvington. The only disappointment on site was the lack of respect from other people who seem to think they are exempt from the 5mph rule - I even tried promoting the 'high 5' wave to one car, who abruptly stopped and hurled verbal abuse at me and my 4 year old!   We will MOST DEFINATELY be back, keep up your fantastic work wardens, you are all a huge credit to the Caravan Club :o)

Lovely site mixed reception

Recently stayed here and had a really relaxing holiday.  Well layed out quiet site despite being full.  You also did not feel your children were disturbing other people when playing outside.  Toilets and showers were kept clean.  Great adventure playground and playground.   Despite this being third caravan club site stayed at this year and receiving the kids magazine each time this is the only site where a warden has engaged the children by encouraging them to complete things and explaining what goodies they would get.  Also the treasure hunt around the site was a great idea and I spent a lovely half hour with my daughter completing it.  I am not sure of the wardens name but she had blonde bobbed hair she was very pleasant and helpful as well as engaging the kids when we arrived and when they took there books back.  This unfortunately was in contrast to another warden who why not rude was very abrubt both with me and my husband on separate occasions. Would recommend this site its great for families.  If you do stay visit seamer fisheries if after great fish and chip's traditional fish and chip shop good service and amazing food.  Ask for scraps as well. The spar shop in the village was also reasonably priced and had a good range. If your looking for somewhere different to visit try old bridlington only one street but very quaint and unspoilt visit heathers vintage shop as well as having great vintage items is an original chemist shop that is unchanged. Will definitely be back

Great site

I enjoyed 2 nights here last week with my daughter, grandchildren and my dog. The play areas and dog walks are really good and the location of the site is a short drive to Scarborough. The facilities and site were clean and tidy and the wardens were very accommodating and had reserved a pitch for my 8.7m Motorhome which was very much appreciated. I will definitely be visiting again.

A Brilliant site in a great location

Our first visit but it will definitely not be the last. Although this is a big site the wardens were working constantly keeping it clean and tidy and the lay-out is cleverly designed so that although the site was full it didn't ever seem overcrowded.  Fantastic dog walking area on the site that links to other walks should you wish to explore further, while the location is ideal for exploring coastal favorites and other tourist attractions.

My first Caravan money saving business trip.

This has been the second visit to this site, and will be one of many over the coming years. Used mainly for a relaxed business trip to help caravaners save money, giving them more choices and free time in life to holiday more. It has enabled me and many others, to make many friends along the way, which in return has provided for us more free time to enjoy a more relaxed lifestyle. Regards Vernon Miles.

Lovely holiday

We had a superb holiday at West Ayton last week. The site is immaculate and everyone is helpful and friendly. The weather was wonderful too! Would love to know whether the baby birds above the ladies toilet door all fledged safely! We will definitely be back next year!

Superb site and hard working wardens

Spotless toilet and shower block and the staff were always on hand to help. The site was immaculate with no rubbish lying around. A nicely manicured site as a whole. Very secure with a barrier key to get into the site. Lots of nicely trimmed bushes and hedges to protect your party, outfit and awning. If you are a wheelchair user book a pitch on the top field as it is near the toilet block. A very good treasure hunt ideal to keep the family entertained. There are children's play areas and a games room included with a large dog walking area.
