Recently had a 5 night stay at one of our favourite Club Sites - West Ayton. Extra special as always, grass and landscaping very well attended, facilities clean with lashings of hot water any time of day. The table tennis was more popular than ever, our Cocker loves the daily walks down to the Castle. Wardens helpful and friendly, just wish we could have booked a couple of days more!! Back again next Spring time.
Very well kept site
Very friendly staff and a great site very peaceful, very dog friendly with great walks and a dog shower.
Would recommend this site to anyone.
Novice
Myself and my wife have just returned from a very enjoyable weekend. When we arrived and explained this was only are 2nd time and 1st on grass the wardens jumped into action, not leaving us until we were pitched and hooked up. They offered an array of advise and also provided us with blocks because our legs wouldn,t reach. We had a problem with our battery due to the dealer not explaining at handover that there was a charging unit for the battery under the seats which needed to be switch on. I went to reception and Paul came and identified the problem and explain some more functions to us. The park is very clean and quiet, toilet blocks used regulary were always clean. I would definitely being returning to the park again. A big thank you to the wardens and reception staff, you definitely went above and beyond.
A fantastic caravan site
We are a family of 2 adults & 1 small child. We stayed here for a long weekend in August. The Caravan site was immaculate, the location was perfect, 4 miles from Scarborough centre, loads to do.
Bretton Farm shop & tea rooms are just up the road, serving lovely food, and a bonus was the kids play park and animal farm to walk around. A great Find!
The site is peaceful, set in beautiful landscape with lots of birds, rabbits, etc.
We will definitely be returning to this site and making it one of our regular destinations.

Great site
This site was recommended to us and did not disappoint. Lovely site, good size pitches and beautifully laid out. Toilets and showers always clean and tidy. Short drive into Scarborough and also Whitby, both lovely seaside towns with great fish and chips! Pub and restaurant a short walking distance from site in West Ayton along with a fish and chip shop. Wardens were very friendly and helpful and always greeted you with a smile. Fab site and will visit again.
a lovely convenient site
We love this site, 10 minutes to Scarborough North Beach, an hour to York and 30 minutes to the Yorkshire Dales. I didn't use the facilities as I use our own but my son who prefers a longer shower did use the facilities and said the showers were great. Would have loved to stayed longer but site was fully booked. One tip make sure you have an ariel lead as TV reception is poor.

A corker of a site !
Stayed at this site for 3 weeks in August. It is one of the best club sites we have stayed on and a great deal of thanks has to go to the wonderful wardens who maintain the site and facilities spotlessly. They are very helpful and friendly but do their jobs in such a subtle manner you hardly notice they are there! The activities on site for kids are great and kept our 11 year old and 4 year old both entertained, as previously mentioned the cache hunt and tourer explorer activities were most welcome. The dog walk on site is great and leads to other walks around the area. This a lovely site if you want to be close enough to traditional seaside towns and beaches, yet far enough away from all the hustle and bustle that goes with them. If you want a smaller traditional seaside town, try Filey as an alternative to Scarborough, it has a lovely dog friendly beach and still has a small fairground and a few shops. There are many other great places to visit within an hours drive, we would definately recommend the Yorkshire Air Museum in Elvington. The only disappointment on site was the lack of respect from other people who seem to think they are exempt from the 5mph rule - I even tried promoting the 'high 5' wave to one car, who abruptly stopped and hurled verbal abuse at me and my 4 year old! We will MOST DEFINATELY be back, keep up your fantastic work wardens, you are all a huge credit to the Caravan Club :o)
Lovely site mixed reception
Recently stayed here and had a really relaxing holiday. Well layed out quiet site despite being full. You also did not feel your children were disturbing other people when playing outside. Toilets and showers were kept clean. Great adventure playground and playground.
Despite this being third caravan club site stayed at this year and receiving the kids magazine each time this is the only site where a warden has engaged the children by encouraging them to complete things and explaining what goodies they would get. Also the treasure hunt around the site was a great idea and I spent a lovely half hour with my daughter completing it. I am not sure of the wardens name but she had blonde bobbed hair she was very pleasant and helpful as well as engaging the kids when we arrived and when they took there books back. This unfortunately was in contrast to another warden who why not rude was very abrubt both with me and my husband on separate occasions.
Would recommend this site its great for families. If you do stay visit seamer fisheries if after great fish and chip's traditional fish and chip shop good service and amazing food. Ask for scraps as well. The spar shop in the village was also reasonably priced and had a good range.
If your looking for somewhere different to visit try old bridlington only one street but very quaint and unspoilt visit heathers vintage shop as well as having great vintage items is an original chemist shop that is unchanged.
Will definitely be back

Great site
I enjoyed 2 nights here last week with my daughter, grandchildren and my dog. The play areas and dog walks are really good and the location of the site is a short drive to Scarborough. The facilities and site were clean and tidy and the wardens were very accommodating and had reserved a pitch for my 8.7m Motorhome which was very much appreciated.
I will definitely be visiting again.
Would visit again
We were lucky and had great weather for our first visit. Lovely well maintained site with very clean facilities. Very friendly helpful staff. This site is great to use as a base to visit Yorkshire
