1st Visit

A very good site, two toilet blocks which is good as there is always one open whilst the other is cleaned.Plenty of places to go to Scarborough though, is a bit tatty and has seen better days.

Another great break here.

Always good on this site. The wardens are all lovely, helpful and professional in every way. Beautifully kept site which is a credit to those working there. Dog walk wonderful and so many routes to take from there, dogs love it. Only bone of contention, what do we have to do to remind people that there is a 5 mile speed limit on site, so many ignored the RULE. Will be back again without doubt. Anyone thinking of using this site, do so, there are so many places to visit along the coast and inland. Many thanks to the staff for another happy break.

Very High Standard

This was our first stay at West Ayton, we found the staff all very friendly, helpful and professional. The site it beautifully maintained and clean. We were looking for a “Chill out” week and that’s just what we found. Highly recommended. Sharon & Stephen Harris

Late break

Nice clean site. Wardens friendly. Toilet block getting a little dated now & very little room in the hand basin cubicles.Could do with more showers in the top amenity building, only 3. Site is well kept & looks welcoming. Close by to the seaside resorts of Scarborough, Whitby, Bridlington & Filey. Nice villages of Thornton le dale, Hutton le hole etc. Pickering & Helmsley are nice towns. Steam railway Pickering to Whitby with stops in between. Pub in the village 500 yds from the site has been decorated & is pleasant. Downes arms at Whyckam (next village) is good for Sunday carvery (book). I love this site & go once a year.

Ideal for Scarborough

A very good clean site. The wardens are pleasant, accommodating and work very hard. Recommended. The only niggle was the small play area for the kids. They would normally use this area to make friends, but they were not impressed. There is a much larger play area in the nearby field, but this is more remote and cannot be supervised from your van.

Great site and facilities

What a great site. Clean and all facilities were spot on. Staff all helpful. Parked next to the small play area and wasn't disturbed by any noise late at night. Try the fish and chip takeaway in the village. Very good
