This was our first time on this site and with our dogs i think it is the best site we have been on so far , dog field where they can be off lead brilliant and lots of other walking from the site without going on the road .
We had a very relaxing time, people on site very friendly , facilities are lovely warm clean well looked after we will be going again .

Very High Standard
This was our first stay at West Ayton, we found the staff all very friendly, helpful and professional. The site it beautifully maintained and clean. We were looking for a “Chill out” week and that’s just what we found. Highly recommended.

Late break
Nice clean site. Wardens friendly. Toilet block getting a little dated now & very little room in the hand basin cubicles.Could do with more showers in the top amenity building, only 3. Site is well kept & looks welcoming. Close by to the seaside resorts of Scarborough, Whitby, Bridlington & Filey. Nice villages of Thornton le dale, Hutton le hole etc. Pickering & Helmsley are nice towns. Steam railway Pickering to Whitby with stops in between. Pub in the village 500 yds from the site has been decorated & is pleasant. Downes arms at Whyckam (next village) is good for Sunday carvery (book). I love this site & go once a year.
Ideal for Scarborough
A very good clean site. The wardens are pleasant, accommodating and work very hard. Recommended.
The only niggle was the small play area for the kids. They would normally use this area to make friends, but they were not impressed. There is a much larger play area in the nearby field, but this is more remote and cannot be supervised from your van.
Great site and facilities
What a great site. Clean and all facilities were spot on. Staff all helpful. Parked next to the small play area and wasn't disturbed by any noise late at night. Try the fish and chip takeaway in the village. Very good
Lovely site
We only stayed one night on this site but wish we had stayed longer. It is a fantastic place to stay with spotless facilities and beautifully maintained grounds and friendly and professional wardens we will be returning very soon
Green and Pleasant Land
Not a lot to fault about the site - large, spacious, quiet, mature trees, shrubs, grass and within walking distance of the village pub. The place was spotless as is usual with all the Club sites. So what has spoiled it a little - all the hanging plastic chain link fence and the literally dozens of yellow spiked posts warning drivers to keep off the grass. Sorry but they aren't really necessary folks.
Quiet and Dog Friendly
We stayed here for just one night but found it to be a very clean and quiet site. The staff were very friendly and helpful if a little overstretched as we all seemed to arrived at the same time! Would definately stay here again.
August Bank Holiday
We spent the August Bank Holiday weekend at West Ayton this is the second bank holiday spent here this year. The site is well run and the facilities were very clean. The location is great and there is plenty to do.

2 days before Crete
Stayed at this site for two days prior to week holiday in Crete. Site is easy to find and well laid out. The idea was a couple of relaxing days so didn't really move from site. However knowing I am aware it will be good base for the rest of North Yorkshire. Can't fault the site had a little one with us who enjoyed the freedom. One problem was the bigger kids sitting around small kids playground. Overall very good site well maintained and village is only a ten minute walk away.
