Annual holiday

Another excellent stay at River Breamish. We have been here for the last 5 years and the site has not looked better than what it is now. Jo and Craig do an excellent job of keeping the site clean and tidy, with nothing too much trouble. They were always friendly and smiling, taking the trouble to make a fuss of my grandkids and our dog, whenever we saw them. Hopefully back again next year.

Wonderful week in Northumberland

Much has been said about the location being excellent for many of the areas attractions, Craster, Bamburgh Castle and Lindisfarne and so it is. The site itself is close to an excellent restaurant, The Bosk (1/4mile) - book in advance but well worth a visit. The current wardens make the site a very friendly and welcoming place to stay. I had a problem with my van on a Sunday but Craig came across to see if he could help and provided details of local caravan service engineers. Can’t praise the place enough. We had a great time, despite the best the English summer could throw at us!

The Perfect Location

This was our first time to Northumberland, and we couldnt have made a better choice for somewhere to stay. The location is perfectly placed for all the places you could possibly want to visit. The facilities are second to none, and the team work very hard to keep them that way. We will certainly be going back to the area and we are more than happy to return to the site again.

So good we went back.

Selected this site to see Northumberland and on route to Scotland. Stayed 3 nights and impressed with everything about the site. Facilities immaculate, site very well maintained with lovely helpful Wardens Jo and Craig. Add to this very level pitches and the beautiful nature walk/dog walk directly off the site and alongside the river and it had everything we wanted. Having stayed at Balbirnie near Edinburgh, another excellent site, realised Jo and Craig had been the wardens there as well and this site was being kept to the same high standards. With the fabulous Bosk restaurant in walking distance and easy access to the site, has become one of our favourites and will return. In fact swapped to this on our return from Scotland to enjoy an extra night.

Absolutely love this campsite

We are pretty new to campervans and campsites but the managers here are so welcoming, friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble - even the daft questions we asked. It is also very friendly as other users are more than willing to help if need be. The facilities are second to none, and the setting is beautiful with a lovely walk right on the doorstep. It is a great base for us to stay while my husband is painting the castles in the area (next one Edlingham!). Can't wait to come back.

Lovely site with great wardens who are there to resolve any issues

We've stayed at this site a number of times and love it quiet location. The wardens are welcoming and do their best to ensure that everyone has a good time. Our last visit was over the Easter Bank Holiday and, as to be expected, the site was full. There were a few 'newbie' caravaners who weren't too familiar with the general club rules (there for everyones enjoyment) and we had an incident with a dog off a lead chasing our kids who were on their bikes. We spoke to the wardens about the incident who instantly resolved the matter in a polite, and unconfrontational manner with the other caravaners – just the way it should be. With the issue resolved we were able to continue to enjoy or break. Facilities and surrounding green areas kept impeccable – looking forward to more stays at this gem of a site.

Wonderful June

This was our first visit to the site. We stayed for two weeks and cannot praise it highly enough. Clean, tidy and quiet. Superbly located for visiting the north of England and the Scottish Borders. Caught the train from Alnmouth to Edinburgh. The journey along the Northumberland coast was worth the ticket price on its own. A big thank you to the wardens for ensuring that we have had a holiday to remember.

We'll be back

Visited as first-timers and would have been lost but for the help of the staff. I really can't recommend this site enough for a peaceful getaway. Well placed to strike out and explore Northumberland with loads on the doorstep. Ingram Valley is just down the road and Chillingham Castle a bit further out (beware - no dogs allowed, not even in the grounds/woods). The Tankerville Arms in Eglingham serves a fantastic Sunday dinner.

Top notch

This is a very well looked after site. Immaculate facilities, cared for by friendly, welcoming, hard working wardens. Good sized, well spaced H/S pitches, laid out thoughtfully. Plenty to see and do locally and further afield.
