Have used this site a number of times and is in a loverly area. Facilities have been upgraded and are very nice. Some road noise can be heard so pitch middle to bottom of site but the views and peacefull setting is a real plus.
A welcome surprise
I have never felt I wanted to leave a review before, but this site was such a pleasant surprise, I stayed over an extra night. I booked the site as a stopover on the way from Norfolk to Skye and back, but it was a relief to pitch up there. Owners were both helpful and friendly and the toilet block was brand new and spotless. Stayed on a site that wasn't Caravan Club in Scotland on the way back and the contrast was so stark I stayed the extra night at Richmond Hargill to make up for it and cycled in to Richmond on my unplanned day off. This probably isn't a great idea unless you are good at cycling up hills, but I had a liquid lunch at a nice pub on the way which helped dull the pain.

More than an overnight stop.
Stayed here for 7 night after 14 night at Seahouses (not caravan club). Hargate Hill is next to the A66 not far from Scotch corner (A1). I was sited in the middle and was suprised how quiet the road noise was. the toilet block and other amenities were very good and clean. I was on a hard pith which needed no levelling. TV was excellent. Richmond was the nearest town for supermarket but Scotch Corner services was nearer having a M & S outlet and Greggs . The site is very accessible for the North Yorkshire National Park.
Bank Holiday Bliss
We arrived after the 8pm cut-off time on Friday due to an incident on the A1(M) and was setting up on the LNA when the warden came out and said we could pitch on site advising us of the pitches available. So we settled in for the night, great! The following morning we reported to the site office and was told we could move to another pitch if we so wished, this we decided to do to take advantage of the views cross the valley. The site is not large but perfectly ideal for exploring the area around Richmond. It does have some noise from the A66, a newly refurbished toilet block, a very clean and tidy and beautifully kept site, a play area behind the hedge and a very friendly atmosphere thanks to the wardens Mary and Harry Cole who made us welcome and were very helpful. A site we will visit more often than we have previously.
stopover
What a wonderful couple run this site - could not have been more helpful to us if the tried - would defo recommend and will use this site again. Thank you again to the couple running this site.
Heading South
We used this site as a stopover due to its convenient location but feel having been there that it is worthy of a more prolonged visit. On arrival the warden was cheerful and helpful. Clean well maintained site with newly refurbished toilet block, new easy to use motorhome service point. Good grassed play area with gate, bordered by hedging. Site layout meant that all pitches had lovely views to the south. Despite proximity of A66 road noise was not a problem when we visited.
Excellent Site
Used this delightful site as a stopover on my return from Scotland. Perfectly located, excellent facilities and a welcoming friendly team. There was a little noise from the A66 but nothing that detracted from an excellent stay. Only wished I had more time to stay longer and explore some of the delights the area has to offer. Using that infamous phrase "I'll be back".
Stunning views
Our 4th visit to this site, we just love the uninterrupted views and the peace and quiet. Yes there is noise from the A66 but you soon get accustomed to it. Ideal site for touring the Dales, Richmond, Darlington, Barnard Castle Sutton Bank and many more areas..
Wardens as usual very helpful and friendly

As usual, simply superb !
Not our first time, and won't be our last ! Great site, friendly warden, and facilities exceptionally clean. Close proximity to the A66 and A1, we stopped off on route from Ipswich to Scoland. We will be back. Thank you.

He could have been more helpful. The site was very clean and tidy. What a lovely view we had, the way the site is staggered the view was uninterrupted for miles. The warden did not stop working from early morning till gone 8 o'clock at night. Will go back.
