Lovely clean well kept site, could do with a better dog walking area as the roads around were very busy.
Fantastic Views
The site has very easy access just along from Scotch Corner, It has fantastic views from most of the pitches. It is near to the lovely Town of Richmond and the very picturesque Reeth which is well worth a visit. The site is clean and well looked after. It has a very nice pub nearby "The White Swan" in Gilling.
An excellent site for a few days of respite after a long drive with lots of places to visit on the doorstep.
Lovely well kept site
We stayed here last weekend lovely site well kept and clean. Bus in to Richmond £4.20 return. Nice views from pitch
Excellent stopover
After 4 days at the Lincoln show,we wanted a quiet site to break our journey and catch up on sleep. Just the ticket, although we wished we had more time as there is a tempting cycle path at the gate, and the local bus stops there too. Despite being beside the A66 we slept soundly, constant traffic being more soothing I suppose. A friendly welcome ,spacious pitch and glorious showers added to our sense of well being. A gem of a stopover and so easy to reach.
Spacious open site with spectacular outlook
We stayed on this site for two nights on our way up to Northumbria. It's very easily accessed from A1, despite the extensive roadworks currently in progress at Scotch Corner. The site has a good open feel, and views to the south are special. Our pitch was at the upper end, near the A66 and some traffic noise was inevitable. The belt of high trees along the northern boundary do cut down vehicular noise, however. Our pitch was a very generously proportioned gravel surfaced pitch. It did have a cross fall which necessitated the use of a levelling wedge. There was a slight lip to it also, which caused the caravan brake to engage when reversing in. The amenity block is outstanding, both in terms of cleanliness and decor. A gate pass is necessary for exit. The site is well positioned for touring the Yorkshire Dales, the North York Moors and for visiting the historic town of Richmond. All in all a very pleasant site.

A lovely site .
We had one night at Hargill site before going on to Moffat . The site is one of the cleanest we have been on , the shower block was spotless as was all the other facilities . We returned to the site for another three nights on the way back home from Scotland , well done to the wardens and thank you .

The perfect stopover
We stayed on the site on our way up and back overnight to Northumberland for 8 days & it was perfect for the purpose.
The couple who run it are very helpful & pleasant & the facilites are a credit to both them & the club.
We parked up near the top so we could get our pooches to the walk easiy and to be honest there was road noise but it did'nt intrude that much.
We will be back for sure in the future it was easy to find plus the whole site immaculately kept a big thumbs up from us ????

Nice views

Small site well laid out and we'll managed.
Facilities clean and well maintained. Beautitul views.
A good base for touring the area, very good for a night stop.
Aso advertised it is noisy..hard to avoid the a66
the dog walk is small.at present the access off the A1 can be confusing, due to road works.
Good site but a bit noisy
We stayed here in July, a warm night. Because we stayed only one night, we got a place right on the A66 which was very noisy. That was actually the only drawback because for the rest the site was fine, well groomed, clean and with a nice view.
