Lovely Peaceful Site

I would highly recommend this beautiful site, very helpful wardens. Site is always kept immaculately clean and the showers blocks. We can not wait for a revisit soon.

Immaculate

Stopped here recently. The park is immaculate and the showers and toilet were 1st class. The wardens where very helpful and friendly . My only concern was the bank leading down to the villiage ,you'd be better off catching bus into richmond which has plenty to offer .but the site itself i have no complaints whatsoever.

Great Site

This was our third visit to this site, but this time we stayed longer and looked around the local area. The site is kept at a very high standard by the wardens and the toilet / shower block is immaculate. The first time we stayed we used the site as a stopover on the way to Scotland, the second and third times we also used the site as a stopover but, stayed over as the site and local area have so much to offer. A site we can really recommend.

It's all been said before!

This site is beautiful - clean, tidy and boasting immaculate toilets and showers. Pitches are spacious. The staff are friendly and welcoming too. Plenty to see and do in the surrounding area. Richmond is a compact market town with an impressive castle and the walk from Richmond to Easby Abbey is a pleasant one. The site is close to the A1 and A66 which makes it very convenient for travelling but there is a little traffic noise. Would not hesitate to recommend a visit. We certainly intend returning!

Bank Holiday Weekend

What a lovely well kept site, the wardens clearly work very hard to maintain the level of clean and tidy facilities that are on this site. The grass is well kept not too long, but why people need to drive over the grass when there is plenty of room to maneuver on the road is beyond me. Lovely area for walking plenty to do and see. A visit to Mainsgill Farm Shop just down the A66 is a must, sausage and black pudding for breakfast is beautiful!!! This is a local site for us just to chill out and relax with fantastic views. Well worth a visit. We will be back just to chat with the lovely wardens!!! Lol!!

Braving the weather in the interest of caravaning

This was our first outing this year so we did not expect tropical weather but the site made up for the arctic conditions. The site was well kept and the facilities were very clean, the staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable regarding the surrounding area, this was not our first visit nor will it be our last.

Easter break in motorhome

This site is very clean and spot on , as it seemed to be very new ,it did have a dog walking area which was good , Richmond wasn't to far away but need a car to get there or a long walk, but all in all very nice with excellent caretakers.thanks will come again.oh just an after thought , the showers were brilliant as we're all the facilities.

Easter break

Just returned from a 5 Night Easter break at this site. It was the first time we had stayed there and the site is very well maintained with an excellent toilet block. It is in a very good position for visiting villages in Swaledale and the local roads were very quiet considering this was a busy bank holiday weekend. The A66 was not too noisy over the weekend, but on Tuesday morning the traffic noise woke us up at 7.15am. We had a lovely hard standing pitch with nothing in front of us only a view of the countryside. We had a very tasty meal in the Angel Inn at Gilling West and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
