Richmond is one of our favourite destinations, not been to this site before and was a bit worried about the road noise. It was fab, so clean and tidy one of the best. Bit of background road noise but nothing to worry about will definately be back

Thought it was a Stop Over but will now be a destination

We used this as a stop over on our way up to and back from Scotland........ this is an ideal place in a beautiful setting with amazing views. This will now become a destination in future and not just a stop over. Very Peaceful indeed.

A great stopover site

This is one of the best sites we have been on. A lovely part of the country with great views, lots of rabbits running around very entertaining. The Wardens were very welcoming and friendly and recommended a lovely flat pitch. Bit of a walk down the hill into the village for a meal/drink. Seemed steeper coming back? The shower block was amazingly clean and well kept. We'll be back!!

best yet

top class site for touring north England or a few days away site was perfect toilets top class wardens were very polite and very helpful a lot of work on the A66 road a bit of road noise but was expected as a very busy trunk road on its door step good dog walk on site kept clean by dog owners and wardens alike good shopping in Richmond 4 miles away again a lot of road works about town and Scotch Corner

Lovely Site

Spectacular views and excellent facilities, close to the lovely town of Richmond and lots more places to visit. Very helpful and friendly staff. We went to The Angel pub just down the road and had a lovely meal, we will definitely be back!

Lovely site

Stayed here last weekend 8th & 9th July 2016. Lovely site with fabulous views! Not particularly bothered by the slight road noise as we pitched half way down the hill. Noisier at the top of the site however (left of the site when entering!) Excellent pub food at The Angel in the village, but unless your fit, then don't walk down the long 3/4 mile hill as you have to walk back up ... as we unfortunately did ... exhausting! Visited Richmond which has a market on Saturdays ... lovely day out despite the rain! Very clean and tidy site with helpful/knowledgeable wardens who have been at this small site now for three years!

New toilet block is great but could have more showers and with all toilet blocks the showers should nt be opposite the toilets but that's my Veiw, great site very clean, friendly wardens and they never stop . first time I've seen any one edging the plots and taking weeds off ( great job)

JULY 16 REVIEW

The site is easy to find only a short distance from Scotch Corner on the A66. A small site but well laid out and immaculate. Staff very friendly and helpful. Toilet block beautifully clean. Only one comment is that there are only 3 showers but loads of toilets and privacy cubicles. Would be better to have more showers than privacy cubicles in the men's section. The location is on the side of the valley and so the views are fantastic. However, we found it to be quite a windy site and no real protection for vans. We had a struggle to get our awning up due to the wind. Ideal as a stop over to the Lakes.

Easy access and great little site

We used this site for a short weekend stop as it is close the A1. Despite poor weather on the Saturday daytime, the evenings on the Friday and Saturday were sunny and revealed a beautiful view. The toilets are spotless and new. Richmond and Barnard Castle are close and well worth a visit.
