Great autumn break

Having recently returned to caravanning and being new to the Caravan Club this is only our second visit to a club site. As previously the staff were friendly and efficient - no doubt like swans they are calm o

First time back for over 20 years

We came back to be close to our son who is working in Swansea. The last time we were here he was about 2 years old. We couldn't remember much about the site although I thought we were closer to the sea than we actually were, it takes a brisk 20 minute walk to get to the sand dunes and if the tide is out another 20 minutes to the actual sea. There was some noise from boy racers going into the adjacent Park at night although the admission charge payable at all times must put off most. We had a bit of aircraft noise the first day but generally this is a lovely quiet site. Except in the toilet blocks where we have to endure piped local commercial radio station feed - not good. I don't know why we have to have this, it's totally unnecessary. One of the service areas didn't have a light that stayed on all the time (there seemed no rhyme or reason when it would come on) and it was very dark trying to empty a chemical closet. Wifi couldn't cope with a nearly full site over the weekend. As ever excellently run site by hard working wardens, and it is nice that a small alternative toilet and shower rooms are available when the main toilets are closed for cleaning. The journey from Llanelli is slow with many speed cameras as well as mobile speed camera vans, so be warned. There are also lots of 20mph areas. The vets in Burry Port are excellent and looked after our dog who became ill very well.

Visited Sept 2015

First impressions count and the lovely couple who staffed the reception, (Sorry can't remember your names) were great. A friendly welcome was just the ticket as this was our first visit to any site, we have just joined The Caravan Club. We had a choice of pitches and found a lovely location tucked back off the site road. The shower and ablutions were very clean and I loved the radio playing as well, not too loud but just enough to enjoy while showering. While we were there we saw a lady cleaning around all the windows of the shower block getting the cob webs etc off that tend to gather prolifically and I liked that.  The site was lovely and clean and being in the heart of Pembrey Country Park it has so much to offer. The area is fabulous and the woodland beech walks are outstanding.  We will be returning and thank you for a lovely stay and experience.

Julie the warden was an absolute delight.

Stayed at this site from Sept 27th for seven nights. We having been using this site for 8 years and have to say that the wardens are the best that we have met at this site. They are very friendly and accommodating, a credit to the Caravan Club.

Peaceful, yet fun!

This is one of our favourite sites as you have everything you need for peace as well as an 'outdoors' break. With the sea, forestry, parks, horse riding, walks, coastal path, cycling, skiing, tubing and more.... there's plenty to keep everyone occupied! Staff are friendly and helpful and the facilities are always clean. There's a lovely park on site for children as well as a park inside the Country Park.  Highly recommend!

Cheesies thoughts

My wife & I were caravanning for the first time in 20 years, taking the grandchildren with us. We were late setting off from home (my wife having misplaced the hitch lock key !!!) The wardens 'phoned us en route to enquire where we were, which I thought was commendable. On arrival the staff were very welcoming. The site was clean & well maintained & plenty of things for the kids to do. I thought that the club would have some sort of "deal/discount" arrangement to access the beach via car (£5 per day fee). We would recommend the site & I'm sure we would visit again in the near future.

A hidden Gem

Ask many people about Pembrey and they won't know where it is. I myself found this site too late in life as my children were of an age where they no longer came with us. The location is the best with 8 miles of perfect golden sands backed by high sandy dunes. Then there is the 500 acres of national park with nature trails, cycle tracks, skiing, tobbogan runs, golf etc. It really is paradise for families and dog walkers. The weekend we were there coincided with a classic car and steam rally which was a real treat. The site itself is everything you would expect of a club site: well kept, orderly and friendly. ok it is kid city and the constant bikes up and around the site may not please everyone. The toilet block is a little stretched when the site is full but the radio playing in the block is a comforting change when you need that 1am visit. The grassy pitches are well draining which is just as well because the hard standings are quickly snapped up. Probably in the top 5 of my favourite sites.

Quiet break 21st to 24th Sept 2015

This was the first time my wife & I have stayed at a Caravan club site and we were not disappointed. We had a warm friendly welcome, the site is well laid out and maintained. This time of week/year the country park is very quiet most of the activities and facilities were closed ideal for walking & cycling, the question we always ask ourselves is "would we go back again" and the answer is yes.

Pembrey Park Family Review

We as a family unit with three children and a dog love the Pembrey Park facility and the staff that support the facility, especially Will and Darren who ALWAYS make us feel at home and go out of their way to ensure we get the most out of our stay ! The site is ALWAYS spotless and is SO quiet, and is so close to the beach and the activities available at the beach Park ! You can't go wrong staying at this site !
