Great family holiday

Just returned from another lovely holiday at this great cc site, location of the site is perfect one direction you can go explore or cycle through the country park and forest and the other direction you can walk or cycle on the millennium costal path, the beach is about 7 miles of sand and is beautiful, entrance to the country park is free if you walk in or cycle and £5 entry in car or the cc shop offers a discount for the week  On site warden and staff are very helpful and friendly, very clean, a bakery van and milk van come through the site once a day which is great as the nearest supermarket is about 2 miles away in Burry Port, I do think the play area is very dated and needs to be improved considering how many young families stay on this site. Nearby attractions include Oakwood theme park and folly farm which are great for the kids and Swansea is only about 40 minutes drive.  All in all a very nice site and I would recommend.

Grass pitches...

When we arrived at Pembrey we were informed the grass pitches had been closed due to wet weather. We were given a map with 3 hardstanding pitches available (the site was very busy). We drove around the site to find one pitch still occupied (at 16.00 dispite a notice outside office reminding members to vacate by 12.00) another had a car parked on it ( tried to find the owner. They had a pitch opposite and had gone out). The 3rd pitch was a disabled pitch (warden said we could use but as we are able bodied I felt uncomfortable doing so). Spoke to the warden again who agreed to us using a grass pitch  ( which I prefer anyway). Used motor mover to pitch. No problem... warden was very helpful and run around trying to sort things out.... members should be aware that wardens have better things to do... anyway.. The grass pitches are now useable. Another great stay at Pembrey .

Easter holidays

Lovely clean site.  We were sited on a lovely big hardstanding pitch opposite the wardens office.  The wardens were extremely friendly and the office was well stocked with leaflets of the surrounding area.  Very pretty site that is well looked after.  Shower and toilet blocks were spotless and showers were lovely and hot.  We were able to cycle to Llanelli from the site on the lovely coastal path which was well worth a visit.  Would recommend this site to anyone without problem.  Will definitely be visiting again.  Thank you Pembrey.

A wet and dirty Easter weekend

We stayed over the long Easter weekend for 3 nights. We visit Pembrey Park at least once a year, and absolutely love the place. However, this year was a real disappointment. The grass pitches at Pembrey close in October for the winter due to known issues with water logging. These had been re-opened for the Easter weekend, far too prematurely in my view. Grass areas were already wet and muddy on arrival, made much worse by poor weather over the weekend. This resulted in many grass areas getting churned up by the comings and goings of vehicles. Muddy conditions had a knock on effect of making the facility block very dirty indeed. A poor decision by the CC (or maybe the local wardens) to re-open grass pitches before they were ready, all in the interest of making a quick buck. Very disappointed with the club on this occasion.

Pembrey Park

This was my second stay at Pembrey and again an excellent visit.  Very friendly, helpful and totally professional wardens.  Although only just opened from the winter break, the site was in a good condition, even allowing for recent weather.   All facilities absolutely clean and as expected from a club site.  The local area has a great deal of things to do for  all members of the family.  I can only reinforce all the positive points made in previous reviews.  I will definitely stay again.

Pembrey CC Site

Yet again we have had a great break at Pembrey. The staff were, as always, brilliant and very helpful. There is so many site seeing places to visit in the local area as well as inside the Country Park. Very good for dog owners as there are plenty of walks in and around the Park. We look forward to returning soon.

New Year 2016

Stayed here for 3 nights over New year 2016 after staying new year 2015.Spent hours walking around forest and beach with our dogs who enjoyed just as much as we did. Wardens really friendly and helpful and the site is always kept in great condition even after all the rain this year.  Is definitely a site we will stay on again.

New Year 2015/16

We went for a post Christmas and New Year break, the weather was horrendous but that didn't spoil our break.  We went with friends with no real New Year's Eve expectations.  What a fantastic time we had, the Wardens Billy and Julie laid on an amazing evening for everyone on the site. A fantastic time was had by all so much so that we have booked to return next New Year.

Another good stay

This was mine and my husbands 4th stay on this site and once again it was great.  It might have rained virtually the whole time but we still had a good time. There is plenty of walking and cycling to be done from the site and also a lovely beach.  We cycled to llanelli and stopped of at the Pavilion Cafe on the way for an extremely nice and very reasonable lunch. So nice that we walked back the next day to eat again. The washroom facilities are good, nice and warm and very clean. We will be looking forward to our next visit in hopefully better weather.

A really good site............

My wife and I are really fortunate that Pembrey is only 50mins from our home. It is a well laid out site, with both grass, and hard standings. The whole area is clean and tidy,as are the toilet's, shower's. The current Warden's just enhance your stay, being friendly, and very helpful.  The country park is good for cycling, and walker's.  Whenever we have been there, it has always had a friendly atmosphere. One of the best.
