Spent two nights here and although the site was nearly full there were plenty of showers/toilets available. Standards very high and super clean site. The wardens were all very helpful and chatty. The location is superb for lots of great walks through fantastic countryside and river paths. Lovely to be back here after 45 years (last time in a boat) and the area has not changed at all. Great pub close to the site (The Dog) which our dogs loved as they even provided dog beds, it also had a great kids play area. Super site and location, we will certainly return here later this year.
Probably Last Visit
We have visited Norfolk Broads CMC site a few times. Nice but bog standard MCM facilities which are good. As with all MCM sites they are now becoming expensive, over £30 per night in May rising to £40 in August and availability remains a problem. The club say we save £13 a night being a member but I bet they get few non members visiting at £53 per night! I probably won't renew my membership this year and start using independent sites. Can't wait to return to France this June and pay a fraction of MCM prices for 5 star sites with pools, bars and restaurants.
Beautiful location and spotless site.
Absolutely loved this site, its in a great location if your into boating, walking, cycling. The site is spotless. Such friendly and helpful owners. Will defo be back as there was so much for us to do with regards to walks and kayaking etc.. We hired a boat for the day, went on fantastic walks with great scenery. Drove to Sandringham estate but was a bit disappointed by this because if it wasn't for having to have an audio guide i reckon we would have been done in 10 minutes, didnt look around the gardens as it was heavily raining but they just seemed to be a vast amount of grass anyway and not much else.....Great size level pitches. Drove to Great Yarmouth and Norwich town and cathedral. Visited Fairhaven woodland & water garden which was so gorgeous and peaceful to walk around. Also visited Happisburgh lighthouse which is where one of Ellie Goulding's music videos was shot. Went to Horsey Gap beach to see a vast amount of seals on the beach which was an amazing site to see as there was loads of them..
Great Location
Stayed for just 4 nights and thought the site was very nice. Friendly staff, very welcoming and keep it spotlessly clean. Usual standard of facilities we've come to expect from a club site, with some very nice extras.
Location is spot on, great for exploring the Broads and Norfolk, Norwich and Yarmouth both in easy reach with plenty of villages and towns around to visit. Good walks from the site, and a decent pub just down the road (recommend the Tomahawk porkchop, make sure you're hungry though!), good range of beers and good quality straight forward food with generous portions!
Plenty of wildlife (and farm life) around, we'll be back.
Lovely Site
Have just spent 5 nights at this lovely site. Very peaceful, staff were helpful and friendly.
Great walks direct from the site and good location for exploring the area.
Highly recommended and hope to visit again soon.
🤦♂️
I think they could organise the bin and recycling collection well before 6.30 then we could all get back to sleep again
Exceptional site
Can not fault this site- excellent facilities, pitches in great condition, peaceful and facilities were spotless contrary to other reviews the bin lorry didn’t turn up at 6am it was past 8.
Close to the river for some lovely walks. Lovely few days in the Norfolk Broads we will return.
Great location and spotless facilities.
Great site in a good location, spotless facilities and whole site obviously well run,all pitches level with good wi fi and tv reception, could not fault and will definitely re visit.
Far too noisy
A clean, well ordered site, as you would expect from CAMC. Good cycling and walking. Our second visit, but, I doubt we will be back, continuous chorus of barking dogs. Why doowners have to infect this on the rest of us?
Broken Sleep!
We booked our recent 7 day stay at this site 6 months in advance, specifically intending to use a grass pitch. We arrived at 1pm for the best available pitch choice, knowing that there had been almost no recent rain in the area & finding that even though the grass was in excellent condition for use, we were told that no grass pitches were in use. We set up on our chosen alternative hardstanding pitch 111, we noted this was by the dog walk, which caused no problem for us at all, however, we did not know that the neighbouring house had noisy turkeys & even worse, cockerels! The paladin bin store & noisy site maintenance vehicle store was also nearby. The cockerels gave us much broken sleep every night & to cap it on one of our last nights, having again been woken at 4.30am, we finally managed to get back to sleep only to have the noisy Council bin lorry nearby, tipping the glass & other site paladins at 6am. No reference was given to us about potential noise disturbance on our pitch or in this area of the site, we finally gave up our holiday & even though the weather was still excellent, went home a day early to get a good night's sleep. The staff were friendly & in fact with an excellent attitude, please warn new arrivals of potential noise problems at this end of the site & allow use of the grass pitches for those of us who prefer them, we found ourselves obliged to warn any new arrivals that looked to be pitching nearby.
