Broken Sleep!

We booked our recent 7 day stay at this site 6 months in advance, specifically intending to use a grass pitch. We arrived at 1pm for the best available pitch choice, knowing that there had been almost no recent rain in the area & finding that even though the grass was in excellent condition for use, we were told that no grass pitches were in use. We set up on our chosen alternative hardstanding pitch 111, we noted this was by the dog walk, which caused no problem for us at all, however, we did not know that the neighbouring house had noisy turkeys & even worse, cockerels! The paladin bin store & noisy site maintenance vehicle store was also nearby. The cockerels gave us much broken sleep every night & to cap it on one of our last nights, having again been woken at 4.30am, we finally managed to get back to sleep only to have the noisy Council bin lorry nearby, tipping the glass & other site paladins at 6am. No reference was given to us about potential noise disturbance on our pitch or in this area of the site, we finally gave up our holiday & even though the weather was still excellent, went home a day early to get a good night's sleep. The staff were friendly & in fact with an excellent attitude, please warn new arrivals of potential noise problems at this end of the site & allow use of the grass pitches for those of us who prefer them, we found ourselves obliged to warn any new arrivals that looked to be pitching nearby.

Great location and clean facilities

This is our first visit to Norfolk Broads Caravan Club site and will definitely be visiting again. Even though it was a cold, wet and windy end of March, we still enjoyed ourselves and made the most of our stay. The wardens were extremely helpful when asked about our awning in the strong winds. The location of this site is perfect for visiting this area of Norfolk with local amenities nearby and lots to do. Facilities were well positioned on the site, central to all pitches and were extremely clean with plenty of cubicles. Cant wait to stay at this site again but hopefully in better weather.

Good site for exploring Norfolk

Well laid out and maintained site, friendly helpful staff. This site is ideal for exploring the Norfolk coast, Horsey Gap is the best place for seeing seals.

Beautifully kept site

Just back after a weeks stay at this lovely kept site. The wardens a very friendly and work to keep the site looking beautiful. Very easy walk into Ludham and easy access to the Broads. Ate out one evening at the local pub,The Dog Inn, very friendly and reasonably price food, which was good. All in all a great break, just wish it had been a bit warmer. Nothing the Club can do about that though!

Another lovely stay

One of our favourite sites, we always enjoy our visits to the Norfolk Broads site. We stayed for three nights from New Year's Eve and relished the unseasonably balmy weather. Dennis & Lynne were on good form, as usual, and no doubt looking forward to a well earned rest when the site closed on Monday 3rd January. Facilities were spotless as usual and we enjoy the opportunities for walking and cycling from the site. We'll definitely back later this year.

Lovely Site

We had a great week here with lots of lovely dog walks, and thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful scenery in the area. We would definitely visit again when in the area but would probably not stay for a week as we did run out of places to walk to! Our pitch was close to the road and we did experience a little noise from that and the chickens the other side of the fence - but not enough to spoil our stay. Had we been aware that a pizza van visits twice a week we would definitely have ordered from them. All in all a great stay.

A lovely site - we hope to return soon!

We arrived at the site shortly after 1.00pm and were shocked to see that we were at the end of a large queue (why do so many people arrive early?!). The staff managed the long queue to ensure the adjacent road wasn't blocked and we were all checked in quickly. The site is well laid out and beautifully maintained with spotless facilities. A gem of a site and we will definitely return when we're next in Norfolk.

Another wonderful holiday at Norfolk Broads

This was our 5th visit to the Norfolk Broads site over several years and as always it didn't disappoint. Blessed with fantastic weather we couldn't have wished for more. Denis and Lynne run a very well kept site ably assisted by Mike and Gwyn. Most wardens are good and pleasant this lot are superb - friendly, chatty always cheerful not matter what. Daily they had to deal with early arrivals well before 13.00 when they could have been doing the many other jobs on site. Can't people read or do they think it doesn't apply to them just everyone else? We love the walking both from site and in the local areas - Norfolk is flat and great for us oldies. A word about the dog walk, it's only small but certainly serves a purpose and ideal for early morning or last thing at night - very adequate! Visit number 6 already booked for next year - we won't arrive early!!

Norfolk Broads - September 2021

We stayed here for 12 nights and would highly recommend this site. Usual high standards of cleanliness in facility block. Wardens were all lovely and went over and above to help us, thank you it was very much appreciated. Location of site was great, with lots to do either within walking distance or a short drive in the car. The Dog Inn is a 5 minute walk from the site and we enjoyed a drink there a couple of evenings. Here are some of the things we did and would recommend:- RAF Radar Museum Neatishead, Southern Comfort Steam Boat Horning (be sure and pre book your tickets) and we would recommend using the free parking facility at Horning Village Hall, Staithe and Willow Horning, fabulous food and dog friendly, Caister Beach, Horsey Gap Beach (to see the seals), Gorleston Beach and the Beach Cafe for morning coffee or a light lunch, Cromer, lovely little seaside town. Well worth the drive from Scotland
