This was our first visit to Norfolk broads campsite. This is an ideal campsite to visit if you are a wildlife lover. We found it very quiet and enjoyed the fact that you could walk out of the campsite straight on to the broads and see the most amazing wildlife. The facilities were very clean and well maintained. However, we arrived at the campsite at 4 mins before 1pm (being unsure of how long it would take us to get there) and were faced with a bollard barricade across the entrance of the campsite, and a spurious sign denying us entry. Had we not breached this barricade, our 7 metre motorhome would have been left protruding out into a busy road, all so that the staff could have a quiet uninterrupted lunchtime. Despite the fact that there were clearly two lanes and the equivalent of four vehicular spaces to accommodate vehicles arriving at this 'sensitive' hour. The site was not busy. The woman driver of the van arriving two minutes before us was subject to a tirade from the manager for entering slightly before 1pm, and breaching his barricade and having the temerity to get out of her cab to look for a staff member. The lady was greatly annoyed by the attitude of the manager having explained that she had visited the site on many occasions and had never been treated in this way. For our part, I found the manager rude, dismissive, and disinterested, giving vague and fleeting instructions. The remaining staff were absolutely lovely and helpful and could not do enough to please. The Dog public house up the road was friendly and had good food.
Great site in a wonderful area.
Great site right in the Norfolk Broads National Park so much to see and do, we took our small car and were able to visit many places including The Fur and Feathers pub which is the home of Woodfordes Brewery great food and beer.
Not the quite what we expected
A few years since we stayed here, so was looking forward to a break before Easter, the surrounding area is still as lovely as ever. New site staff this year, the assistants are very pleasant and helpful. The whole site has a very clinical feel to it, don’t stand still too long or you will most likely end up being painted white, not sure this works in what should be a rural setting. The warden seems to spend all of his time charging about the site on his mower, way in excess of the 5mph, trying to cut grass that is virtually none existent in places, we totally understand that sites have to be looked after, but listening to the mower for hours on end for no real reason seems pointless.

Excellent site, great location
Just stayed at Norfolk Broads Cub Campsite, arriving after they had experienced a week of heavy rain and the ground had suffered. The staff were amazing, making sure that we stayed away from areas affected badly by the storms and extra concerned about our wellbeing and comfort. We hadn’t stayed at the site before but will definitely return. Site is immaculate and garden borders beautiful, facilities are spotlessly clean and bin, chemical toilet and water areas cleaned as required (no overflowing bins or rubbish to be seen. Showers are a little dated but not a real problem. All these things are down to the friendly, hard working staff. We only met Richard and his wife who worked tirelessly over and beyond what is expected. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
Lovely peaceful site with helpful and welcoming staff.
Helpful ands friendly Wardens. Lovely quiet location in Ludham in the heart of the Norfolk Broads. Well kept site, everything worked. Grass pitches well kept, level and spacious. We didn't have a problem that the shower and toilet blocks were said by some to be a little dated; the main thing was that the toilets and showers were spotless. We didn't have to wait for a shower or to use the loo. Toilet for disabled people, need a radar key.
Would advise anyone with a Campervan going out for the day, to leave something in their pitch to say the plot is taken, to avoid anyone coming along and pitching up in their spot.
Great pub next door with a varied menu, and lots of gluten free options. Lots to see and do, highly recommend How Hill nearby; Norwich for a day out; coast is beautiful - try Sea Palling, Gt Yarmouth and its Time & Tide Museum and fairground, Victorian Cromer with its theatre on the pier, Cley and Blakeney for wildlife, Georgian Holt.
We are looking forward to our next visit!
Reasonable site, but we were made to move pitch and we're slightly disappointed overall for the price
This site is a bread and butter C&MH site, with little to shout about, but generally clean with good facilities.
It's in a reasonable location in the Broads, but isn't a picturesque site by any means. The pitches and grounds are well-maintained and signed, and the camping facilities (utilities, drainage, chemical waste points etc) are numerous and in good condition.
The shower/toilet block is obviously cleaned frequently, but is slightly dated and could do with a refresh. There are plenty of stalls and showers, and I never had to wait for one even though the site was busy.
Numbered pitches are allocated on arrival, but on returning from a day out in our van we received a phone call to say someone else had taken our pitch while we were gone and we had to move. We weren't too bothered, but we ended up in a more shady pitch and some might have taken exception to this. If it hadn't been for the noisy neighbours the previous night we might have been more upset!
Overall, they charge a premium price, perhaps slightly lacking the premium experience
Enjoyable stay
We had a very pleasant stay here. The site was very quiet and the facilities were spotless. The local bakery and shop were just a short walk away and the butchers in Ludham had excellent meat for the bbq. Lucy and her husband were very helpful and were arable to suggest places to eat nearby.

Nice quiet site
A large site but only 1 washing machine and drier, had to keep going back to see if it was free. Found it very dangerous that cones were put across the entrance/exit at 12.00 midday until 1.00pm every day. So anyone already on site had great difficulty getting out or back onto the site. As there are at least 4 spaces for units arriving early it doesn’t make much sense as they could just wait there until reception opens. Units arriving early are told to drive on, and it is a very narrow road with nowhere safe to park up. An accident waiting to happen
disrespectful neighbours
Visited this site many times in the past but felt standards had dropped this year not with the site itself but with the regards to the pitching of caravans and motorhomes. Caravans and motorhomes were allowed to go on pitches forward causing doors to be face to face. We were on a large corner pitch 7 we had 2 lots of neighbours in motorhomes both went on the wrong way and the second set found it acceptable to use our pitch as there dog walk after erecting a large wind break half way across our pitch to keep the dog in we found this totally unacceptable we were going to extend our stay but decided to move as we felt we had no privacy as we were sharing a pitch.
Lovely site and location for the Norfolk Broads
We were on a big plot, sun all day too which was a bonus. The site was well maintained and the toilets and shower block warm and very clean. Great location for exploring the Norfolk Broads.
