First trip out of the year and it's very wet and windy, but the caravan site was great. The staff were very friendly, the toilets and showers always very clean and the under floor heating in the showers was a major talking point over breakfast :)
I would definitely recommend a stay at this site !!
Found at last 1st time with Caravan Club
Took us a little while to find the site, and once receiving directions from the site office we eventually found this lovely site. As it was Easter, and having left booking a little late we had to have two separate pitches for our two night - not a problem, and having enquired at the site office we could have stayed another night. Next time we will know. The site is lovely and kept clean and tidy. The facilities are excellent, well stocked shop, shower/toilet block is well maintained, with plenty of hot water at peak times, and underfloor heating in the showers. Bransgore is not that far away, but you do really need transport, as walking would take a while. There are 3 pubs/restaurants in and around the village, with co-op, fish n chip shop, newsagent and more. South coast is near, as is access to the forest, a great site if you wanted to go cycling or walking. We picked this site as we were meeting up with friends, but would visit again.
10 night stay
Beautiful location, superb site. Site Managers very friendly and very helpful and always had a smile on their faces. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Our awning was caught by the wind and ended up on the caravan roof. Two site managers and two other visitors to the site came and helped us get the awning down and safely stowed under the caravan. The wind was blowing, it was cold and the rain was pouring down but all of our helpers saw the task through to the end. We are very grateful. The facilities on site are great with plenty of hot water. They are spotless and the site generally is well kept.
There are walks and a cycle ride from the site and the village of Bransgore has local shops. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be returning.
4 night break
Loved the site the moment we drive through the entrance, it is immaculate! Staff all very helpfull and friendly, we were in area Mustang, but of noise from road and cattle grid but had a great time and will book again for sure. Great to explore from !

Good base for exploring the area
Without doubt this is a beautifully maintained site with good facilities as is expected of the Caravan Club. It does not yet have the feel of a Forest campsite as much of the planting has still to mature. If you want to spend the majority of your holiday walking in the Forest this is probably not the site for you. Although within the national Park boundary there is a good 1/2 mile walk along the road to get to the Forest. Likewise, although close to Bransgore as the crow flies, it takes an hour to walk to the village along the road (not unpleasant or too busy though). Bransgore itself has an excellent range of shops - a wonderful baker, butcher, deli and well stocked co-op. No need to go further afield. If you don't know the area at all this is a really good base for exploring the South Coast resorts and there are numerous attractions within about 30 minutes drive. However, if you, like us, want to be immersed in the Forest the other CC site is probably better.
Wonderful start to the Year
This was our first outing with the caravan this year and it has left us eager to travel again.
The wardens were really helpful and work hard at keeping this lovely site in tip top condition. The toilet block was spotless with heated floors in the shower cubicles - lovely at this time of year, when the wind was whistling around the kneecaps! Our dog also appreciated the enclosed dog-walking area before settling down for the night, this in addition to the numerous beautiful walks available all around the site itself. Visit the memorial to the Friends of the New Forest Airfields just 10 minutes walk from the site. Last, but not least, there is a local lady who bakes the most delicious cakes that can be purchased from the wardens shop. Delivered more or less daily, these can challenge anything available from a National Trust Tearooms and I do not say that lightly! Speaking of which, Kingston Lacy National Trust house is also well within travelling distance and really worth a visit.
Great location
This was our second visit and site even better than we remembered. Staff very attentive and facilities spotless. Only 3 nights this time but will be back later in the year.
Sunny Weekend
Arrived on site on Thursday evening. Wardens were very friendly and showed us to our pitch. On Friday we had a nice walk to Burley with friends. Toby Carvery nearby for dinner in the evening. Saturday we visited Lymington for a little retail therapy. In the evening we had dinner at Beaulieu Motor Museum. And then it was time to end our weekend. We could not fault our stay in any way..Wardens keep the site very clean and tidy and shower/toilet blocks were spotless.. A special thanks to Dawn and Mick for making us feel very welcome..Would definitely be visiting again!
An early weekend in the Forest
A return visit to this site. Only around 30 'vans there so used half the site with the remainder being 'out of bounds'. Usual like to set up near to the toilets and getting there around midday found a pitch just where we wanted.
Facilities were spotless as usual and there was little rain. Easy visit to Lymington Saturday afternoon and guests in the evening.
Back later in the year.
