Lovely site - great for kids too

I came here on a last minute break with my 9 year old niece and the pooch. I managed to get 4 nights but would have loved to have stayed longer but other commitments prevented this. First impression is that it is a huge site for the Caravan Club and I was a little worried that it would be too busy as it was school holidays and appeared full. I needn't have worried as it was fine, there are plenty facilities and services to ensure there weren't queues. The site is in the middle of the New Forest, not far from Burley and Bransgore. There is plenty for the kids to do, a huge playing field, a park and the staff even have daily treasure hunts for them. Whilst we were there they had a fun day with lots of activities. The site was safe for the kids to cycle around too. There is a dog walking field and a dog walk near the entrance. If you walk out of the site you are int he New Forest so plenty of places to take your four legged friend. The facilities were very clean as was the whole site. All the wardens were friendly and helpful, and went out of their way to please everyone. TV reception was good as was the wifi, phone reception wasn't too good though. It was quite noisy with the kids in the evening up until about 10pm, but this was expected with the warm light night in the school holidays. Great site will definitely be going back. Will be nice to visit without the kids.

Lovely family campsite

This is a fabulous site with great facilities for children. Lovely and flat for kids to cycle around and the playground and playfield offer something for all ages. We pitched in the right hand corner of Liberator against Forest Road, and loved our pitch until bedtime on the first night, when we realised that on the other side of the hedge was a cattle grid on Forest Road which was very noisy through the night and early morning with cars, farm vehicles and motorbikes. I think it must be a cut through for local traffic as it was noisy from 6.00am every morning. We did adjust, and it didn't spoil our holiday, but wouldn't pitch along that edge again! This site is a great location for exploring Christchurch, the New Forest and down into Bournemouth. We will definitely visit again! Finally, thank you to the lovely wardens, who were so helpful and friendly with the children and who kept a really well stocked little shop and a spotlessly clean site overall.

Top spot

Excellent site.  Superb standard, as with most Club sites. Beautiful location.  Been for the last 3 or 4 years and will probably return next year, just wish it was nearer! Wardens are very friendly and helpful. One gentlemen even towed us from the late arrivals park onto our pitch as our car broke down and even offered to take us to the garage. Can't recommend highly enough.

Super site

Superb site and I had a fantastic relaxing stay with my dog. Made to feel very welcome. The only thing that let me down was the lack of phone signal.

Vegies beware.

The site is very easy to find and wardens are helpful. It's a large site with mixture of hard and grass pitchs. Just on the edge of the New Forest ( walk about 300-400 yards, cross a cattle grid and there it is). My wife could hear aircraft noise at night, I am partially deaf! As we are both vegies, we looked forward to the Chip van coming, but chips are not cooked seperately so would not indulge.

Back for more!

I have just had another 8 nights on the New Forest Centenary site and it was excellent. Friendly and helpful wardens, immaculate facilities and plenty of space between the caravans! Ideal for dog walking (my 3 Labradors love it!) and visiting other locations. I would give full fives for this site if only they could improve the internet connection. It still drops out and at certain times is impossible to connect. A real frustration when everything else is perfect.

Hampshire Gem

Last week was our second visit to the New Forest Centenary site, this is a lovely site, facilities are kept spotless by the hard working wardens & deputy wardens. We had a pitch in Liberator near the forest road, a bit noisy when vehicles passed over the cattle grid, but this disappeared as evening / night time approached. We will visit again later in September
