State of site

Having spent a few days here, I would not visit again it is expensive and there is briars growing out of hedges on to the road, nettles around bollards, grass long and not cut where the ride on mower could not reach, in all a very untidy site for a site that is supposed to be a flagship site.

Best visited out of school holidays.

Lovely area, great for walking or cycling. Easy access; no worries over meeting another oncoming outfit on a narrow lane at this site. Friendly staff and spotless facilities. However as ever these days if you visit in school holidays beware, the site is usually flooded with children who don't obey the one way system and use the site roads as a race track on their bikes. Nor do they respect your pitch, several packs of small people frequently walked straight through our pitch upsetting our dogs who'd been quite content to doze quietly. We were there the day before the holidays started and the difference was marked. I dare say that if the Club monitors use of toilet rolls they notice a huge increase in demand during school holidays - most of which seems to end up on the washroom floors.

Fantastic site

Stayed here for a weekend break - fantastic location and will certainly come back again for a longer stay and with the bikes to explore further afield. Really enjoyed learning about the New Forest Airfields - if you haven't been, the memorial just outside the camp is well worth a visit, and to pause for a moment for reflection. Staff all very friendly and welcoming and all the facilities are modern and kept spotlessly clean. Pitches are an excellent size - we had plenty of room for our 9m tag-axle motorhome and enough space if we had wanted to put up our drive-away awning. However, there are a couple of minor feedback points - and this is more for the club than the site. Please advise members on arrival how the electrics work - whilst this is my first motorhome, I spent 30+ years caravanning with my parents and have never come across a 'twist' mechanism before. It would be so simple if you asked when checking in if people have stayed before, and if not, advising them they have to turn the connection to make it live. Also - in today's contactless age, it seems silly that we can pay for our pitch fees with contactless / chip & pin, but we cannot pay for shopping - it has to be cash. Like many people. we don't carry that much cash now - so to not accept card payment at all seems a bit 'dated'.

Happy Halloween

The staff at this site deserve tremendous praise for the way they maintain the facilities, but this week they excelled themselves by organising great halloween based fun for the families, which our 5 yr old grand daughter enjoyed so much. The staff dressed up in costumes and held a party with snacks, drinks and prizes. Well done all.

Perfectly Peaceful

We visited Bransgore mid October and had a lovely peaceful visit. The facilities were excellent and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We tended to use the shower block early morning and they were very quiet, immaculately clean and the water nice and hot. We brought our mountain bikes and cycled to Brockenhurst to pick up pasties for lunch from the local bakery. This was a good three hour leisurely trip through the forest and over the former railway line. A great spot for cycling or walking, with or without a dog. We are not sure how good the site would be for families but if they were families who enjoyed a stomp through the woods and were easily entertained then sure they would enjoy. The location was perfect for us, though I can see why some people would think it difficult to get to some places easily, particularly if your only transport was your motorhome. We used our bikes or were lucky enough to be picked up by friends. I should think we will definitely be back to this site !

Great Autumn Break

Just returned from this site and as always it was perfect - friendly wardens and lovely clean facilities. Plenty to do around and about with lots of places stop and park a motorhome without having to worry about height restrictions

Great stay

We had a great stay at the site, some great walks, close to the south coast, no mobile signal but we were aware of that, will definitely return

Lovely Location

This site is within easy reach of some lovely places to visit, Bournemouth, lymington to name just two. I was in a motorhome and the one thing I would add is that there are very few places you could drive to and park. Out of season there is no bus service so you will be a bit isolated. Walking is nice, out of the site, turn left and within 1/2 mile hour in the open heathland and woods that go on for miles. Nothing really the other way as the roads are narrow and reasonably busy. The site is well maintained with plenty of facilities. The area is stunning but we found the lack of places to drive to limiting so not sure we would return.
