Excellent stay during difficult times

We spent 4 nights at this excellently situated site. You should go on on your electric bikes to the Lighthouse and call into the felt makers art studio. The staff were excellent and friendly and everything was in place for a safe stay just a pity some of the people had no care about the COVID virus. We thoroughly enjoyed our first outing in our new campervan.

Good for dogs....and Humans.

Just had 10 days here, weather a bit wet, and most of the pitches are on grass, but don't worry, ground is very firm with beach stones under the grass. Good for dogs, beach easily accessible, some pitches very isolated so easy to find a quiet place to enjoy your stay. Lots to see locally, most places are open despite Covid, Logan Gardens, Mull of Galloway restaurant, lighthouse closed though. Wardens working very hard to keep the facilities clean. We used our own shower and toilet. One of our favourite sites.

Perfect location

Had two nights in our motor home at New England, Great view right on the coastline, a bit breezy but nice and refreshing.. Site is well laid out with plenty of space between pitches either hardstanding or grass. Toilet are spotless and only two people allowed in at a time which is very reassuring regarding Covid. The only negative would be the service area for the motor homes, it would be better if there was a designated area for this as it can cause a little congestion, also hand sanitizer at the bins would be a good idea. Would definitely return to this site.

Perfect for Pandemic

Other members have reviewed the qualities and opportunities offered by NEBay, but I thought it might be helpful to consider the site in light of Covid-19 restrictions, following our 21 night stay. The site has a number of advantages. First, its scale - a large, well spread, generously spaced site where even at busy times, seclusion is possible. Second, the benefit of two well-positioned communal blocks that are twice-daily fully managed for Covid-19 by four experienced wardens. Third, location in a sparsely populated peninsular offering a variety of coastal and inland walks, or short car trips to places of interest, such as the botanical gardens, Port Logan and Mull of Galloway lighthouse.

Lovely Part of the World

We recently had 9 nights on this site. What a tranquil and beautiful part of the world this is. We were lucky with the weather only having poor weather on the day we arrived (after we had set up) and on the day we left. The layout of the site is not the regular regiment rows as on some sites. The pitches are off the main access road and in little "alcoves" or grassy areas. Although the site is quite busy with people arriving and leaving all the time it's not noisy and the pitches are far enough off the main road to ensure there is no road noise during the night. The beach is adjacent to the site and it's only a short walk from the site with walk in either direction along the coast. The site is well placed for visits to Port Logan, Port Patrick and the Mull of Galloway. One place that is a must to visit are the Logan Botanic Gardens which are only a couple of miles from the site. The local pub in Drummore serves good value food and drink but for a wider variety of venues a visit to Portpatrick is worth it. It's a shame that we live so far away from this ite otherwise we would be using it a lot more.

Peace and quiet in these strange times

What a lovely site, peaceful and 'Covid-19 secure'. We have just spent 8 nights here, the weather was really good, just one night/morning when it rained heavy and boy did the wind blow. Enjoyed many walks on the beach with our dog and one day out to the Mull of Galloway lighthouse and Port Logan. We went for a change of scenery and some peace and quiet and that is just what we got. The facilities were excellent, always clean and I was lucky enough to be on my own each time I used them. Wardens very friendly, always happy and look after the site very well indeed. We could not fault the site at all, I am very sure we will be back.

Peaceful Stress Free Retreat

Great site for beach, walking , fishing and chilling out. We had to cut short our stay due to family reasons which was such a shame. The sites are varied and you can choose between on the 'front' to secluded and private. This was only our second trip since the sites reopened in July. What made out trip was the fantastic work of the warden team ( sorry didn't get all the names), we were greeted on arrival, facilities were kept immaculate in these crazy Covid times and we were treated with sympathy and understanding when we had to depart. The team are a credit to The Caravan and Motorhome Club, Thank you Don , Angela, Mark and Natalie.

Great stay

Once again a wonderful stay at New England bay. Weather was kind which helps. It is a remote site but we like that. We have been a few times now so we are happy to walk the dogs on the beach and do little else. Site is well organised and clean. No concerns from us re current situation on covid 19. The toilet and showers system worked. As long as people remembered their bands ?? Not the sites fault that.

A gem of a site but be aware it’s windy!

This is a beautiful site for peace and relaxation. We did not use the facilities so can’t comment but there were a few sanitisers at reception. It was lovely and tidy and plenty of room around the pitches. We chose one at the back for more shelter due to the wind. There are a few very secluded pitches which the warden suggested when we were checking in as it was our first venture out after shielding. We felt very safe and always used anti bac wipes whilst filling up with water or using the bins etc. The ground is very hard but be aware that after a lot of rain (and boy did we have some) that the access grass to the pitches can get a bit churned up. One negative comment is that the motorhome point had only one smallish drain and as our waste emptying tap was on the wrong side we had to position ourselves the best we could to allow it to drain. We did wash over the spilled water. As there is a one way system we could only come in one way but the warden said that we could have came in the other way so that we would have been able to position ourselves over the drain. As we all know rules are rules and I’m sure there would have been a comment if we had gone the wrong way around the one way system, so please make the drain big enough to access both sides of the motorhome. If you are cycling to the Mull of Galloway lighthouse please be aware there are a lot of hills and even with an electric bike we had to get off and push on a few of them but well worth it in the end.
