Perfect getaway!!

When we turned into the site the sea view took our breath away! It was so beautiful, absolutely stunning. The dogs loved the beach and to wake up with the sun reflecting of the water was a memory we will long cherish. Port Patrick is a lovely little place to visit with it's pretty quay and lovely eateries. The lighthouse at Mull of Galloway was an experience too, climbed right to the top and received a lovely certificate to keep. Lunch at the Eco cafe was a treat.

Short stay

Liked the layout of this site, with the use of the gorse to divide areas. Our dog (normally quite nervous) loved the close proximity and quietness of the beach. Facilities were very good and well maintained.

First visit

What can we say it was fantastic; the site was brilliant, clean and wardens very helpful and friendly. Pitches to suit all tastes and so near to the beach, plenty of birdlife. It was our best holiday - thank you

Brilliant

We had a fantastic time at New England. Access to the beach is superb. On holiday with our grandson. Excellent site for children. Games room offers pool and table tennis. Children enjoyed riding their bikes and going to the beach.  First time here but definitely not the last  A big thank you to the staff

Wonderful site

We had another wonderful holiday spoilt only by the weather!  Stayed for a little bit more than 2 weeks and had two dreadful nights in galeforce winds. We had to turn the caravan round into the wind so it wasn't hitting the caravan on the side. The wardens were lovely but they knew we had a problem and they never bothered to ask if we were ok. I was disappointed about this.  We came home early in the end as it gave strong winds again and I couldn't face another night awake listening to the wind battering the van. There was also a winniebago close to us who lost his roof. They had to leave that night to find shelter. Again no help from the wardens. I hope they were alright.

however after saying all that we will hopefully go back, maybe at a different time of year!

Return to New England Bay

When it comes to coast-side sites, New England Bay is one of the greats. Here you will find a long front line of sea-facing pitches, of generous size, or if you prefer, a more sheltered interior pitch. The blocks are well maintained, modern and clean. Additionally, there is an activity room with table tennis and pool tables. This is a place to watch bird life and seals in the wide bay, and probably one of the best places to escape to the natural world. Walk north to find remote spot amongst the dunes, but don't forget to take your binoculars. We loved the inland walk crossing the car park and taking the road to Port Logan, then branching left - see the wardens for details.

September 2016

Lovely big, well kept site with open areas and hidden areas. I have never been before and it was worth walking round the site before deciding where to pitch. (I felt that the person explaining the site to me was a little bit quick in giving me the information - as if she had learned it by rote, hence the walk round) I found a secluded spot which was suitable for my dog and cat! It can be a long walk to the toilet (explaining the 4 stars rather than 5)! lLots of rabbits, dog hell/paradise. Easy access to all areas on The Rhins.
