We came here for a long weekend with our new rescue dog JRT and our old cavvy, and must say the site is lovely. You can (as we do) run from the site to the downs. The site as usual is clean the only minor is that I agree with the outdated shower facilities. The staff as usual are brilliant and very helpful. Would recommend that you pitch on the bottom field as you get longer in the sunshine.
The reason for the low family score as we have no idea as have grown up kids.
Good overnight stop for ferry.
Stayed here in July as an overnight stop on the way to the Ferry at Portsmouth. Friendly welcome, good well drained grass pitches, and good fish and chip van on the Friday night we stayed. A really good overnight stop ( only 30 mins or so from Portsmouth ) and I`m sure a good site for a longer stay. The only negative. We were on the upper field - and as many other have stated both on the online reviews and in the comments book on site - the toilet block leaves a lot to be desired. After 12 years of using CC main sites, probably the smallest and most old fashioned toilet block we have used on such a large site. Needs desperate regeneration or rebuild. A real shame, as otherwise a great place.
Great site
We spent 5 days from 12th August, we were welcomed by name from the wardens who are friendly & helpful. We had a choice of pitches from very quite down on the lower fields to the convenient pitches on the top field. The facilities are clean & welcoming. We had a relaxing holiday & enjoyed the visit from the fish & chip van on Friday evening. We will return time & time again.
Nice site shame about the showers
Lovley well run site, clean and tidy no hard standing but then I like grass pitches. A great stop over site for the ferries. The wardens were friendly and helpfull. The shower facilities for a site this size are dreadfull. Considering the price paid I would have expected more! Sort it out caravan club please
Lovely site for a stop over
Just spent a night at this site. Lovely site and friendly and helpful wardens but a bit noisy due to the road. Didn't really bother me as I was only staying for one night but might be of concern if you are staying longer. Also no hard standings and grass only pitches. Ok if its dry but a bit of an issue in the wet! On the whole, close to Winchester and a lovely part of the country. Will return soon!
Good but amenities need updating
This is a lovely peaceful site which is well run by friendly and helpful wardens. However, although toilet & shower blocks are kept clean, they desperately in need of updating. For example the showers are too small and there are to few of them.

Great site , lovely area , fab stopover for the ferry !
Morn Hill is a great site , the location is great for an overnight stay for the early ferry to France while there is also lots of places around and about , we managed a visit to Marwell zoo . The wardens are doing a great job , the site is well kept , facilities a little dated but spotless ! My only moan is that the ladies toilets opens out onto the main rd out to the barrier , cc can you pop up a low flower bed or fence just to slow down any little people who might decide to make a run from the block !
Weekend Away
A lovely site with very helpful staff. Good clean facilities although we did not use showers as we have our own. We were placed in a lovely quiet spot on the lower field which was ideal for us. Would definitely go back again. Other reviews have mentioned road noise and although this can be heard, we didn't find it a problem at all.

Morn Hill in sixty seconds...
What works: Yes, there is some daytime/early evening road noise and whilst the facilities may be aging, they're kept clean in spite of the best efforts of some of us CC members!
A pleasant site arranged over several levels with the mid-section enjoying the best balance between peace and quiet and some wonderful sun sets...
Staff are helpful, good humoured and polite.
A very convenient location to Winchester – which is a must to visit – public transport is a doddle.
What doesn’t work: such a shame there isn’t a pub nearby but otherwise we enjoyed our weekend stay at Mornhill.
What could Morn hill do differently: perhaps make more of local footpaths as the site enjoys a sunny open aspect adjacent to open countryside.
Ideal stopover
Chose this site as a stopover before travelling on to the Isle of Wight, we was on the upper site which was very well kept and clean, shower and toilet facilities were spotless, a very easy site to find
