We had the last three days of the season on this site and had to be off by 10am otherwise they were not covered by the insurance apparently.
I have to concur with many of the reviews with regard to this site. The bottom field was closed because it was the end of the season and with it the best shower block. The shower block on the top field is not fit for purpose as the cubicles are too small (I am not a large person) and I do not like fighting with the shower curtain nor does my partner. Thye whole thing needs knocking down and rebuilding. The site could also do with some hardstanding pitches as it was very wet during our stay. With an upgrade it would be a great place to stay if you are looking to tour Hampshire but I certainly won't be going back.
Sadly also the staff seem to be dragged down by the site as they did not seem to have the enthusiasm or energy to be cheerful.
Good for exploring
Very friendly staff and such clean facilities. The shower block was lovely and warm despite the cold weather. Yes the shower block is a little dated but if it's spotlessly clean and well maintained what does that matter. The laundry was open late at night which was great when we had a spillage and needed to wash something quickly. We went to the Chestnut horse in Easton for a meal one night and it was very good. Lovely atmosphere, log fires and great food. We can recommend the steak. Winchester had a lively antique market in the Main Street on Sunday which was worth a visit.

Last two nights of the season
Mandy and her team were extremely friendly, polite and very helpful. We agree with an earlier comment the site does need updating. The toilet block was very clean. Would only stop over a weekend at the site to visit Winchester and family who live nearby.

Grumpy Warden!
Upon returning to the Site late at night in the dark I mistook the wrong barrier which took us on to a closed section of the site. I was greeted by a very grumpy male Warden who was unhelpful. I suggest if you don't want people straying into a closed area, you close both gates and/or put up a sign and/or (most obviously) change the barrier key code! I suggest you also Change your attitude to be more Customer focussed and understanding of users in unfamiliar territory! Otherwise, the female staff we met were very helpful. Site is awkwardly signed and placed off a roundabout which needs Care on approach and leaving.

Needs updating
Morn hill is a well placed site with good access to several towns via the local bus route which stops near to the site.
Our only grouch is that the loo block is in need of a complete overall.
There are only two very small showers which means queuing especially during busy times and as you probably know some people occupy the shower stalls longer than necessary, styling hair etc.tasks that could be done at a basin.
The wardens were very obliging and allowing us to relocate our motorhome to facilitate tv reception.
A ok for our needs
Yes there's a noisy road, but my home address is next to the M6 so we coped ok.. No younger kids amenities but we were lucky with our pitch that my kids were able to play a few outdoor games, toilet/shower block was ample for our needs and always clean, staff absolutely fantastic A*** them... 5mins from tesco extra on a whole it's a lovely site
Disappointing for a Club Site
This site has to be one of the poorest in the Club but I gather from the wardens that refurbishment cannot go ahead as the land is partly owned by the Council. There are two blocks (albeit with only 2 showers in each, small cubicles with no shelves). Outside washing up and only grass pitches which do get quite boggy especially on the lower field. Having said that, it is adequate for a short stay to visit Winchester or overnight. Sparse facilities - basics in the Reception shop and a launderette. Fish and Chips visit on a Friday which we did not sample.
Oh dear!
Friendly welcome but were disappointed when told the bottom half of the site was closed due to it being close to the end of the season. Not really sure why this would be. The lower toilet block was still open which meant a long trek for a shower as we now refuse you use the top toilet block as it is not fit for purpose. It is truly awful and the club should be ashamed as it has needed refurbishment for years!!
The road can be a bit noisy early in the morning but really isn't that bad and the setting is so lovely it is easy to forgive!
Good base for lovely Winchester with a good bus service and local park and rides (don't try to drive in to Winchester as parking is difficult).
The entrance to the site from the roundabout is a bit tricky and easy to miss.
We will return as we have family in Winchester but can not understand why the club appear to have no interest in upgrading the facilities.
The wardens must become very disheartened as just about all of the comments in the visitors book mention the dreadful toilet block.
Come on CC, do the right thing!

Noisy, close to a busy road.
Nice enough site spoilt by the traffic noise. Probably won't stay again. Friendly staff, clean and well organised site.

overall a good site
Stayed at this site mid September. Facilities were very clean albeit quite sparse. We did not find road noise intrusive. Site was full, apparently it is very busy most of the time. Very convenient for Winchester although not much else in the area. Would stay again if in the area but wouldn't make a special journey to stay
