Second visit to this site

This was our second visit to this site and overall it was good. The site is quite big, clean, with a good play area. The location is good within walking distance of some lovely shops and a decent pub. Real upsides are the Friday night pizzas which are very good value and made from scratch in front of you. The shower facilities are also better than average. Although the decor reflects the other cc sites, the showers are slightly bigger with more shelving and hooks, which means a lot for us girls! However there are some downsides which really put us off as a family. The pitches are small. If you've got a big unit, and big awning you will struggle to get it all on the hardstanding. You can forget parking your car alongside anything. This is a problem because if you have a large car which juts onto the road, you are at risk because the road around the site is narrow. The other problem is that a farmer nearby has a bird scarer which goes off regularly. From as early as six in the morning. It sounds like a cannon firing and was very annoying. One morning it went off so many times we just gave up and got up. We would come back here again but not for some time.

Newbie Alert !!

The weekend trip to Morton was our first ever caravaning (and more to the point, towing) experience so we didn't want to travel far. Traffic was horrendous and as such we arrived late. Thankfully the traffic was the only down side as the staff where so helpful we couldn't have asked for more. I had help reversing the caravan which I didn't even need  to ask for so my blushes were spared (let's put my ineptitude down to first time nerves). A member of staff came to our aid very late in the evening well after reception had closed to assist after sudden loss of power and kindly helped us to find and fix the problem in double quick time and the ladies in reception could only be described with one word - delightful.  The site itself was very clean and had all the amenities we could have wished for - the children loved the excellent play ground.  Will we return? Without a doubt !!

4th Time !

As in the title, this was our fourth time at this site although this time only a short weekend 13/2/15 through to 15/2/15, yet again we came away loving the place still. The site is immaculate, friendly and very clean. Even though the weather was a little rainy the break was excellent as our first of the year. We ate in the snug of The White Heart pub in the village and the food was superb. We will keep going back to this lovely site time and time again !

Back after 2 years!

In 2013 this was our second trip out in our motorhome! and we had 4inches of snow overnight!, but this time we arrived after a weekend in Oxford to bright blue skies & sunshine what a difference, all hardstanding and a very clean site, wardens very friendly and hard working. Easy walk into town with a lovely supermarket at the other end of town, nice shops and great places for a cuppa, Tuesday morning is maket day and a great market it is. Well worth a visit, we will be back, but try not to make it 2 years!!!!

Great Site

I have used this site several times  Last time in Febuary 2015 lovely site facilities nice and clean 10 minute walk into the village only downside of the weekend was a motor home taking a short cut across the grass instead or using the roads and getting stuck and churning the grass up apart from that a fantastic weekend was had by all  will visit again

Lovely setting

Spent a long weekend in February 2015 with hubby and 2 dogs. Bonus was having a dog walk to let the boys have a run. Facilities were spotless and plenty of showers and loos available if you needed them. A short stroll into the village was another bonus. Only thing that kept waking us was the noise of the crow scarers!! lol Will return again.

Marshy Weekend

Lovely, well maintained site, the staff were friendly and helpful. Well positioned for walking into Moreton in the marsh, lots of shops to look in. Easy access for walking on the Monarch way, which we did and found out why it's called Moreton in the MARSH!  Overall, a lovely weekend, only downside was road noise, as has been said before, but worth it for the position.

Does what it says on the tin

This is a large site, about 180 pitches so I guess at peak times it's very busy. We visited in January so there was plenty of space. Facilities and cleanliness were excellent as you would expect from a club site. You can walk into the town in 10 minutes. An ideal base for exploring the Cotswolds. We would happily visit again.

Brrrrrr! Cold and Frosty.

Just returned from our very first winter outing and it was fantastic. We only saw a smattering of snow which was a pity but although temperatures remained well below freezing we were cosy and warm in our little Ariva.   We stayed at Morton in the Marsh, Caravan Club Site.  We chose it as it’s right on the main road, so little chance of problems arriving or departing during adverse weather. The site’s really nice, spotless with great facilities, as you would expect and the staff friendly and welcoming. If there was anything negative to say about the site it’s that, being next to a main road, traffic noise could be a little intrusive. The site is just a short walk into the small market town of Morton in the Marsh (Tuesday is Market day), which has a  good selection of small shops, banks and a supermarket, there are plenty of nice cafes and eating establishments and enough pubs to ensure a merry stay. The Cotswolds are a wonderful place, full of quaint villages to explore regardless of the weather.  We had a fantastic stay and will certainly return.
