A peaceful site with good facilities within walking distance to town. Buses and train available in Moreton-in-Marsh to transport you to nearby picturesque towns such as Bourton on water and Stow on the Wood, Stratford on Avon and train to Oxford. Pitches however are on the small side.
Great Site with a lovely palyground
This is a great little site in a lovely setting. the faciliteis are the usual club high standard and were kept nice a celan despite the site being full. Lovely play gound with space to play football and a great little crazy golf course. If my 5 year son was in change every site would have crazy golf!!
Easy walk into the town and a good walk to Batsford Arboretum. A steak van was on site Saturday evening and served a lovely steak with chips, mushrooms and coleslaw. It's ccoked in front of you and it's great! There area couple of National Trust properties close by as well as Cotswold Wildlife Park and Cotswold Farm Park. We'll be back!
Felt a bit tired
The site is in a great location with good access to the town and some lovely country walks. The facilities were clean however, the water in the men’s block was like warm which is not ideal when it’s cool weather. Two of the showers in the ladies block didn’t work at all! The pitches are ok but a little tight getting in and consequently the grass verges are quite badly cut up which makes everywhere feel a bit dirty/muddy. Maybe that’s could be ententes on the edges to allow better access especially for the larger units. Nice dog walk area and the surrounding countryside is stunning. Great location but could perhaps do with a bit of TLC.
Immaculate facilities on a quiet and tranquil site
Just got back from spending three nights here in our motorhome with our young family and father in law joining us in his motorhome.
We managed to grab two pitches next to each other in our vans.
Plenty of room for awnings, excellent facilities for motorhomes and immaculate toilet and shower blocks. There's a lovely little play park and field for the children to play in and a separate dog walking field.
The town of Moreton-in-Marsh is a 10 minute walk from the site gate.
Only tiny negative is there's no tv reception on site, but the EHU posts have an aerial connection.
Lovely site
We stayed here over Christmas and had a fab time. The atmosphere was great with all the lights on vans so many had made a big effort. A walk on xmas day and lunch at the local pub was perfect. The wardens had kept the site very clean and tidy and the showers always warm and clean
Love our motorhome

New Year's Eve - A Thank You
This is more of a thank you than a site report
We have just returned from this site where we spent New Year’s Eve, our first one on a club site, and all I can say is it was a big success.
New Years Eve celebrations had been organised by the wardens. They had built an undercover area by placing gazebos together. Wine and buffet food were provided, plus a quiz, raffle and music. Disco dancing would have proved difficult in the space provided as it was a little intimate in places (in a nice way)
Just how they planned this to run so smoothly after a normal hard day’s work and then carry on form 9pm until after midnight was outstanding. To cater for so many people in such a small space was worthy of a medal. Everyone I spoke to the following days had thoroughly enjoyed the night.
If the wardens read this then a big thank you for a great evening
Very Pleasant Site
Our first visit, we felt that this site had a very nice feel to it. A good variety of pitches, some quite open and sunny, others among mature trees. Toilet facilities very good. The motorhome service point was well located and out of the way of site traffic. Moreton-in-Marsh is a pleasant friendly town. Batsford arboretum is wonderful, particularly so in October when we visited. Great fish and chips from the Mermaid Fish Bar in the village. Site well located for touring the Cotswolds by car bus or train. And last but not least, the site staff were friendly and helpful.
Great time
Just returned from four days here. Excellent site-lovely staff who work really hard to keep this very big site in excellent condition. Two washroom blocks with good sized showers and 4 hairdriers in our one. Very convenient for Moreton-so easy to walk to and lovely variety of shops including a Tesco & Budgens. Pizza van on Tuesday & Friday-fish &chips on Wednesday & Saturday. It is a big site with level pitches spread over a large area-there is a path which is a short cut through from one part to the other-great help as I got lost before finding that!! Thank you for a lovely stay Moreton staff.

Wonderful Moreton site
I have stayed at Moreton-in-Marsh club site on a few occasions now and each time it just gets better and better. The new dog walk is a definite improvement with the wooded rabbit hill running down the length of the area adding to the doggie interest; my spaniel just loves sniffing down those bunny holes. I agree with the other reviews, if access to the footpath between Batsford and Moreton could be made with a coded gate access (as done at Godrevy CMC site in Cornwall) this would be just brilliant. The site staff are just lovely and although it is generally busy, it never feels crowded. Looking forward to many more stays.
A really good first stay
This was our first stay in Moreton: couldn't book for weeks but we finally made it and we'll be back, if only to go to Moreton Market. The site is very well located and very convenient to visit Moreton itself (10min walk at the most) with bus stops nearby to explore further afield. We also spent a lovely afternoon in Batsford arboretum & garden centre.
The site facilities were very good and spotlessly clean. However, the site was very busy (we stayed Friday to Tuesday) and could be noisy at times. We were lucky to pitch the van away from the main road so were in a quieter spot.
I was surprised to learn that the site had no access to the footpath between Batsford and Moreton although all that was required was permission of access and a stile / gate. Something that can be looked into perhaps as we can't be the only ones wanting to walk to both without having to follow the footpath along the main (busy) road.
