A very compact and tidy site within walking distance to Minehead.
Well maintained and managed by the friendly wardens.
We will definitely come back to this site.
Excellent site,fantastic location,Brilliant Wardens
Arrived on the 23rd July for a week used the site as a base as the grandchildren were staying in Butlins we were very pleased with the excellent site the friendly welcome from the hard working wardens who never failed to help when approached for advice or assistance they are a credit to the caravan club
Small, but perfectly formed
Small but beautifully formed! As the warden said, park up and walk round to choose your pitch as all the roads are dead ends. We received a warm welcome here and were given useful instructions for shortening the walk into town, and finding Tesco and Morrisons, although the small, well stocked co-op just down the road has most everyday items, from forgotten milk and bread to a cake for afternoon tea.
Near here, also, are the bus stops which provide a half hourly service to Dunster Castle(national trust), together with its gardens, well worth a visit if you are prepared for the steep hill it sits on. The water mill here is being restored and will soon be in full working order, it has two wheels.
Minehead, itself, is a mixture. Along the seafront one way leads to the little harbour, the other heads along the coast path with lovely views, all the usual 'seasidey' things are in between, including the steam railway which goes to all sorts of interesting places. All easy walking.
We took the bus to Porlock/Porlock Weir too. Not very frequent but using the bus meant we could admire the scenery rather than concentrate on the narrow lanes. If you go to Porlock Weir, try the fish and chips. Some of the best we've ever tasted. Crisp and melt in the mouth batter.
Further afield, and a day out could take you across Exmoor to Lynton and Lynmouth. We parked at the top in Lynton and enjoyed a ride down (and back up) the cliff railway to visit Lynmouth.
There is plenty of varied wildlife at Minehead site. I saw a slow worm, as well as many different birds and a very cheeky squirrel! Altogether a site worthy of a return visit, quiet and peaceful, on the edge of town with lots to do not far away
Lovely Sitw
Me and my family have just returned from a lovely week at Minehead, the site itself is in a good position you don't need to move your car all holiday if you enjoy walking. Very clean, good dog exercise area. The wardens are extremely helpful and friendly, I had an issue connecting my daughters phone to the WiFi the warden telephoned the helpline for us and all was sorted.Nothing was to much trouble.
Lovely Park
Stayed this July, easy walk into Minehead pleasent walk round the town and to the sea. The wardens are friendly and facilities are clean and park is well maintained would stay again.
A WEEK AT MINEHEAD
Excellent is the basic adjective
apart from one small problem which I am sure is easy but not cheap to solve......
toilets which don't flush!!!!
I assume it is a reduced water issue and toilets when designed to flush properly with a specific head of water don't have that requirement fail
the water supply to the site is obviously steady and that slow fill coupled with a possible lower level in tank head causes a poor flush
When the next person after use arrives they either flush again or take their chance
Several other users commented on this soI am speaking for lots
Hey otherwise fantastic.........

What a gem
We love this site, set out of the way but easily accessible to Minehead. Lovely and quiet, not a big site so not many people around. As we have found all of the CC sites are lovely. Well looked after and the Wardens go the extra mile, we will be back to visit again soon.
Cracking site and Wardens
Never mind the moaners - there will always be some!! Just had 7 wonderful nights on this lovely site and enjoyed the company of many like-minded other campers there. Site Wardens Peter and Eileen gave me the best welcome I have ever had on a Club site and I've had many good ones. They are very hardworking and dedicated looking after their site - and it shows. My only niggle is the constantly yapping little dogs going to/from the dog walk but Hey - let's live and let live.
Nice but a few niggles
This site has very friendly staff, is very clean and is in a great location for exploring the surrounding area. The pitches are a bit tight but not a problem if you have a mover, they are fairly flat and have plenty of space once you are setup. My only niggles are the dog walk area needs to have a clearing with grass instead of a path setup, the washrooms could do with fly screens and why were the recycling bins emptied at 7am this morning? I am on holiday. Overall a lovely site that with a few small improvement's could be a great site.

A pleasant stay
This is not a large site and some of the pitches are a bit tight. However, the site is tidy, well maintained and the wardens are friendly and helpful.
