Small quiet site

This is a small quiet site with easy access to Minehead ten to fifteen minutes stroll. A number of pitches are not level and levelling blocks are required. We also found the site to be exceptionally dark at night and feel that extra lighting should be considered. The facilities are maintained to the very high standards we all expect on club sites and the wardens are very welcoming and helpful. Would certainly revisit in the future.

Awful!

We booked for 7 days and ended up staying just 1 night! The site is claustrophobic-it's like you're sitting in a quarry! Spent the rest of our week at Hurn Lane, where we could breathe.

Good Site

Stayed here in mid-August. Just under a mile to the beach. Parking in Minehead didn't cause us a problem. Minehead is a lovely seaside town - long sandy beach, not too "kiss me quick", nice pubs/restaurants/shops. Lots of great things to do in local area. Usual high standards of cleanliness in toilets/showers and never queued despite the full site. Wifi connection was poor - kept dropping off - BUT had 4g with EE all day and night!

Our third visit

Just returned home after a lovely 7 day stay at the site. Wardens friendly and helpful and work hard at keeping amenities clean and tidy. The site is so easy to visit the surrounding areas and countryside, although we had rain we were able to get out to the beach at Dunster and Blue Anchor which our dog enjoyed. along with the dog walk on site. Local shops and Minehead are close and walking distance.Ā

Helpful wardens, good site.

We stayed here in February half term, arriving very late after an accident en route. The wardens were extremely helpful and kind, site immaculate, great facilities and a wonderful location. Lots to do in the local area.

5 night stay in Aug 2015

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Very quiet and peaceful with a dog walk on site, perfect for our needs. Very close to Minehead seafront and town and beautiful beaches for walking the dog on at Dunster and Blue Anchor as they are not allowed on Minehead beach in high season. Would thoroughly recommend and we will be back.

Enjoyable Stay - Great location

We really enjoyed our 5 night stay on this site.  The wardens were lovely and kept the facilities very clean. The site is a good spot for walking into Minehead and enjoying the many lovely restaurants.  The only negative was that our neighbour left the site at 5.30am, waking us up as he packed up and towed his caravan off!!  This was a very inconsiderate neighbour and nothing to do with how the site is run.  We will return.  Winking

We'll be back

Lovely site in a very good location. Spotlessly clean facilities and friendly helpful staff as you would expect in a CC site. Only a 15 minute walk to all you could need. We had a 3 night stay as our daughter and family were in Butlins and didn't fancy paying the price to stay there. Would definitely return if in the area again. Thanks to all.

Good facilities and location make this a good site to use

Located on the outskirts of Minehead with lots of local shops this site is a good base to explore this area of North Somerset. As ever the wardens work hard to keep the site facilities up to scratch; it's a shame then, that some members appear to find it difficult to leave the facilities in a suitable condition for their fellow campers - obviously they've never been instructed in using a toilet brush ! Although having made our booking several months ahead (as per another reviewer) we too were offered a choice of just two pitches; thankfully (unlike the other reviewer) were chose a lower level pitch, but we would agree with the description of the top level as dark, dank and unwelcoming. However our pitch was on the junction of the various roadways and, so, could not be described as 'peaceful'. We too were irritated by the daily restriction of water supply; there didn't appear to be an 'emergency', so one wonders why work wasn't scheduled for a quieter period in the season. It would be useful to be able to prebook a pitch in advance to assist members. We'll probably be back though.
