All staff were welcoming and very helpful. Was offered a choice of pitch (we only had a short lead at this time: bought the 25m there!). Was given directions to get the other things we needed.
Pitch we chose was very good and the whole experience was a pleasure.
We will be back for the Malvern Spring Show.
What a great site. We had booked for 6 nights towards the end of July due to a doh! moment on my part we overstayed by one night. This was immediately sorted by the staff who not only managed to accommodate us for the extra night but also sorted out our next site for us by ringing them to say we would be a day late. Top marks for above and beyond for customer service. The site was lovely and so clean and tidy although it was on a couple of days very busy. But this was only to be expected with the beginning of the school holidays. We managed to find a good grass pitch with shade all during the day at some point which was good during the heatwave of a week we stayed there. We were totally spoilt for great circular walks on footpaths from the site with the dog and also for the husband who likes to do a good run every morning. The pitches were well spaced and we did not feel crammed in crammed in, unlike some sites. Also the availability of so many grass pitches made the site look very spacious. The wifi where we pitched was not great but then we were right on the limits and the TV reception also was not great where we pitched. It should also be noted that the phone signal it also very poor in the area but that is not within the control of the Club. That said it was very liberating not to have those distractions when on holiday and we spent the week sat outside reading. We can highly recommend The Swan at Hanley Swan for the food and their dog friendly policy. We booked a table indoors with the dog without any problem and the food was superb. We would definitely return for another visit as we felt we did not really do justice exploring the area due to the heatwave when we stayed. The dog walk onsite was very small, just enough for a last night walk but with such a choice outside the site it was not a problem. All in all a great site in a great location which was quiet and restful. Full marks to the wardens who run the site smoothly and inconspicuously.
Arrived for a 7 day break. Really clean site, well spaced out pitches, we were on a hardstanding pitch with awning. Shower blocks very clean. Great 20 min flat walk to the local pub the swan from the site with lots of outdoor seating. Lovely little circular woodland walk behind our pitch 162. Lots of dogs on site but not a bother at all. The site was easy to get to travelling up from cornwall. Visited Eastnor castle, worcester, stratford upon avon, teweksbury abbey, puzzlewood, jeremy clarksons didly squat farmshop which if you go there has its own carpark, but the ques were ridiculous with about 400 odd people waiting to get in. Hubby brought his kayak and found a good spot to launch from opposite The Fleet Inn at Twyning near teweksbury, into the river avon. The only annoying thing was that we paid for the caravan wifi for the week and it was rubbish our son was not amused (but to be fair it does say on the website the wifi is intermitent), plus the tv reception was a bit flickery think we will invest in a satelite....All in all a very pleasant stay.
We stayed here last weekend for three days arriving Friday afternoon and leaving about 10.45 this morning. Good welcome and explanation of site as this was our first visit. We managed to get a hardstanding pitch No 163. Put up a porch awning and there was plenty of room for car at the front of pitch. Facilities were fully open and as expected spotless, apart from a few people who dont clean up after themselves. Easy flat walk to Hanley Swan and we can recommend Sunday lunch at The Swan. We will return here.
We have stayed on this site for three individual nights on journeys up and down the country, and really like it. Although it is a large site it is immaculate in all respects and very well laid out. Access is great, no marrow lanes to negotiate, close to the motorway and easy to cut across to the A49, but the site is very peaceful as it is in the heart of the country side close to the beautiful Malvern Hills. The wardens are extremely helpful and cheerful. There is a lot to do in the surrounding area and so we have promised ourselves that we will visit again soon for a longer stay and get up onto the hills, visit the Morgan museum, enjoy a meal at the local pub, spend a morning in Malvern and a day in Upton on Severn. Thank you to the wardens for their warm welcome.
Lovely well laid out site. Well maintained grounds and facilities. There is a lot of scope to enjoy many local attractions, but unfortunately it was too hot to do very much during our stay. However, we have already decided to return later this year with the specific intention of getting out and about a bit more.
Had a pleasant 3 night stay here as part of a longer tour of England. A large, busy site which is well organised and typical high standards we have come to expect. COVID protocols were still in place and being observed. Having your own transport to explore the area would be good but we still managed to cycle to Upton-on-Severn, a lovely town and short walk to Hanley Swan. Left feeling more to explore so a return visit likely.
Visited Sunday to Sunday to make that journey round Birmingham easier. Clear signage as we came onto site, lovely welcoming staff. Good level pitch, Site well cared for with current Covid restrictions well observed. Nice dog walk although one of my dogs just didn't like going on to it. Spotless facilities at all times. Only gripe I would have is the water taps - they are too low to get a 40L Aquaroll under. Similarly, at the toilet entering point it is not possible to balance the cassette on the wall and flush the inside out - it makes a kink in the pipe which forces water out of the vents which are supposed to draw air in. Other than that, it is perfect, plenty of places to visit in a reasonable distance, for example The Valley at Evesham, GW Railway at Toddington or Broadway, Hop Pocket Craft Village and Jinny Ring at Hanbury. All of these have decent cafeterias or restaurants as well. Lovely wardens, although I didn't see the one listed as number 7, Abby, who is, I believe, a dog. Enjoyed our stay and we will come again.
This site is only 45 minutes from home but we haven't visited previously. We enjoyed walking on the Malvern Hills and eating at The Swan in Hanley Swan. The wardens were excellent and the site was well run and maintained. The dog walk was very good. Our hardstanding pitch was near the dog walk which was convenient for us, but meant we didn't have a view and lost the evening sun earlier than those pitches higher up on the site. We had a good 2 night stay and will return.
Stayed here a few times now. Really like everything about it. Just read another review about dogs should be seen but not heard..especially near the dog walk area. You choose your own pitches here so if you aren’t keen on dogs don’t pick a pitch near the dog walk. That’s not the fault of the site so not sure why it should be a review! The site is big but is so quiet. Can’t fault it! Friendly staff, clean facilities.
I can’t comment on the Family friendly side but couldn’t get past it! Didn’t want to score that one down 🙄
