Although we were heading for the south west and had booked this site for 2 nights as a step on the way, once we got there we never went any further and remained there for 14 nights, constantly increasing our length of stay. The site is extremely tidy and well cared for in all aspects. The toilet block was spotless and warm with plenty of hot water and the service points were well located. The staff were friendly and visible and were seen keeping the site in pristine condition, not easy when the leaves are coming down fast from the lovely trees around! We found plenty of easy walks available from site and explored the local area with the help of a book called 'Walks in the Hanleys' which we bought at the local well stocked village shop. We went further afield and explored nearby towns such as Tewkesbury, Worcester, Great Malvern and Ledbury as well as walking in the hills themselves. We never needed to go far though to see a selection of wonderful large trees which are particularly colourful at this time of year. Everyone we had contact with was very friendly and helpful and it was great to be back in an area of traditional shopping streets with good food available all round.
First expressions count , hence the stars , arrived for 2 nights , reception and booking in very good friendly staff easy access to site .Pitch good size parked at top level didn’t need level blocks .Shower block toilets very clean , band system in operation only four in block at time worked very well , dishwasher area very clean , waste and water taps well situated and clear signage .Night time site was well lite up . Nice walks to be had but definitely need a vehicle to venture out further .Great tv signal for us , WiFi I used my own from phone as am too tight to pay for WiFi mind you only 3.50 a day ,This is a well maintained site well done the staff keep up good work .
We visited Malvern Hills Club site in mid October 2020, having booked for 6 nights.
We arrived mid-week and there was a good choice of hard standings (grass pitches were no longer being used). We chose to stay in the higher area overlooking the lower part of the site. This had the advantage of being in good range of the WiFi which we frequently use for restaurant reservations and to plan days out and to make bookings for visits to gardens and properties. The Club website warns that there are issues currently with WiFi but it was generally Ok during our eventual 16 night stay stay - although very slow and difficult to access early/mid morning (when we were looking up places to visit that day) and again mid evening when we wanted to upload photos and email family (presumably when many other people also wanted access). The WiFi here obviously needs upgrading.
We enjoyed our first few days in the area so much that we extended our stay by another 7 nights and then later again by another 3 nights.
There are a number of National Trust places to visit, as well as the magnificent Malvern Priory. Gardens to visit include Picton gardens. There is an excellent pub (The Swan) about a 15 minute walk away and many other highly rated pubs in the area. We enjoyed some amazing top quality meals.
The Malvern Hills are ideal for walkers, although parking is expensive.
As always the site was immaculate, clean and tidy, the wardens friendly and helpful.
We didn’t use toilet or shower facilities, because of the Covid situation so cannot comment on their condition.
Mobile phone signal for O2 was poor and the Tv signal had constant breaks in transmission.
We use an omnidirectional ariel and those with adjustable ariels may receive a better signal.
Re-tuning several times didn't help.
I highly recommend this site at Malvern.
Last week I collected a new van from Wales and was delayed in setting off home to Cumbria so booked into the site at short notice. I was severely lacking in the usual domestic bits and pieces and the warden very kindly lent me what I needed, this was very much appreciated.
My wife and I had stayed there twice previously just for one night on route to Wales for business and we plan to revisit for a weeks holiday in 2021. The site is very well laid out, the toilet blocks are spotlessly clean and there are so many easy walking footpaths close to the site to explore the local area.
Thanks again we will be back
We stayed at Malvern Hills Caravan Club site last week. The wardens were friendly and welcoming and the site is beautifully kept. It was a perfect location for us to explore the Malvern area which we had never visited before and now that we have a taster of what is there, we will be back at some point
This is such a perfect site very peaceful ideal if you're going to the Malvern Showground it's a 6 mile round trip on foot. There are some footpaths around the site into the country side which we've enjoyed in the summer months. We went here on the re opening weekend of the 4th July after lock down. The wardens were fantastic so efficient and everything was well organised to keep use and them safe. The facilities block was spotless and cleaned throughout the day and night. We had a great welcome from the 2 Scottish wardens sorry we didn't get your names. You're such lovely people and thank you for all your hard work and of course that thank you extends to all of the wardens on site too. We'll definitely return next year to this beautiful site.
Friendly staff. Very helpful. Well laid out site. Felt quiet yet all pitches around me were in use. Enjoyed stay.
Only thing I wasn’t keen on was sharing a shower with numerous daddy long legs due to the outside doors open to the toilet blocks. I totally understand why they were open, due to touch points but if everyone uses the hand sanitiser the door could be closed. Didn’t ruin my stay, and appreciate it was done to keep us safe.
Have stayed many times in this area but somehow this site seemed without soul. cannot put my finger on it but just was not friendly and it was very busy so you would think that would help, Nice and clean and tidy but something missing
We wanted just two nights and booked only a couple of days ahead. On arrival we were offered the choice of about five pitches, but in fact most were already occupied - presumably their tenants hadn't troubled to tell the wardens where they'd landed. No matter, we got one which suited and there was space around - and the sun shone!
This was a part of a two-week motorhome meander and we used our own facilities throughout. So can't comment much on the Covid arrangements.
We stayed here for 3 nights in glorious September weather. The site was packed but we managed to get a pitch that did not feel cramped as there was space in front of us. The staff on site were friendly and helpful. It did seem that 8 people in the shower blocks was excessive we have been in larger blocks where only 3 or 4 were allowed in, mind from our experience on sites since Covid a lot of people ignore the system anyway and just enter the facilities. We did not use the showers. It is a shame the site is so far away from the Malvern Hills to walk to, we could not do any walking there as we had hoped such a shame. Managed a bike ride to Upton upon Severn a pretty little town a 4.5 mile bike ride each way and a walk around Hanley Swan and surrounding area. All in all a good site but you need a car.
