Wonderful site well worth a visit

We stayed here last week in July and as a family of nine we pitched on 151 and 152. Both pitches had a lovely view of the sea and were within a reasonable distance of facilities. The play area was far enough that we hardly saw any children in our area. Our party ranged in age from 20months to 69 years and everyone loved it. The pool is excellent, facilities clean, play area sufficient. I thought the crazy golf was a little expensive at £1.25 each and was a bit boring, could have done with some tunnels or something. There is a bus stop just down the road where you can catch a bus into Looe or you can walk down but I would advise bus back up unless you are quite fit. We also purchased a pass for the Parkdean site just next door (£5 per person per week with under 5's free). The pass gives use of their indoor heated pool, indoor play area, arcade and entertainment programme. All in all this was a perfect holiday destination. Only gripe, a little overpriced.

Looe

Spent a nice week at the Looe site. Clean and well maintained. Wardens helpful and friendly. Don't come if you want peace and quiet, its not for that, the WiFi is also appalling. I also thought I paid my fees to be on a members site but there were many non members and also one family of travellers.

Comment from The Club

Many thanks for leaving a review and we are very sorry to hear your comments concerning non-members.  I have been in touch with the wardens at Looe Caravan Club site who advise me that even though Looe welcomes non-members only a handful have stayed on the site since it opened in March.  However, let me try and explain why non members are admitted on some of our sites. Our lease terms often dictate that a site has to be open for non-member use and this is not negotiable.  In other cases, non-member usage enables a site to remain financially viable and on the network and non-members often join The Club once they have experienced the quality on offer.  However, non-members cannot access the advance booking service available on the phone and online so they can only book at a site when it is open.  I hope this answers some of your concerns.  Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.

A Quiet break

We recently visited here, and i must say it was one of the best sites i have stayed on, i cannot fault it in any way, and also as a bonus this was one of the dog friendliest places in the uk i have ever been to, the only very slight negative but not the sites fault wi-fi and phone reception not very good in this area for me but will definately be returning.

Amazing

One of the busiest sites we have been too, that said most definitely the best. Really quite site with everything and more that you would expect. There is a lovely beach about 5 minutes drive (Left out of site and then first left) which is truly amazing and it has a beach bar!!!! We will be back

Another Great CC Site

Just returned from two nights on this site and was only sorry I couldn't stay longer. Staff on site were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. The site and facilities are in immaculate condition and, despite being very busy, was remarkably quiet. This site is only two miles from Looe and there is an excellent bus service which stops right outside the gate. If you don't mind the climb, it's a nice walk into town too. Overall, this is another example of a top quality site that you expect from the CC. I will certainly be returning in the future.

Looe Site

Our 4th visit to this site and everything up to the usual high standards.  Perfect location for visiting Cornwall and South Devon.  If using a Sky dish choose your pitch carefully as there are a large number of trees on the site which will block the signal.  We found most seaside towns in Cornwall charge for disabled parking which is not visitor friendly,  but some offer a free extra hour.

Lovely site

We selected a hard standing pitch at the bottom of the site, it was so peaceful. Could not fault the cleanliness of the whole site. Pool was a bit shallow for a good swim however great for a quick cool down dip. The dog walking area is quite small and there were no walks directly from the site. You really had to get back into the car or the bus to go anywhere. All the beaches we visited on this side of Cornwall were not dog friendly so a trip to Holywell Bay on the north coast was in order on the hottest day of the week.  We do love it there so it was no hardship. Looe is lovely especially when the tide is in, you can walk to Polperro along the coast path and get the bus back if your legs ache. We found the best pasties at Pasty Presto..... Ummm so tasty.  The site shop only really had a few basics but you can always pop to the shop on the site next door or yes get back in your car and go to Looe.  Can't fault this site at all, the children enjoyed the crazy golf and play area.  Would go back again but probably without the dog!!
