Longleat has changed.

Since we last stayed a few years ago things have changed. No longer able to enjoy the walks around the main part of Longleat park without buying an entry ticket and in the winter the park is closed! The site itself is great, still lots of walks and when the park is open it must be ideal. Site staff very frendly and helpful.

Love Longleat Caravan Club Site

Stayed many times now. Excellent site. Wardens very friendly and helpful. Longleat Festival of Light excellent. Looking forward to next year!

Perfect Location

Perfect location to the zoo, narrow lane down to the campsite but manageable, big site and lots of space, good secure dog walk, very clean site and clean toilets, friendly staff. would go again.

Festival of lights

Fantastic site so easy to walk into longleat park . Wardens very helpful all info was to hand , just up to see the lights , three generations of the same family in two caravans spent the whole day on Saturday mesmerised by all that was on offer at longleat fantastic camp site accompanied by the sound of sealions ( I think ) well worth a revisit at a different time of year.

Made to feel very welcome

Wardens were very welcoming and informative, site clean and tidy. We expected some trafic noise as being so close to the park, all in all it was not that noticeable. Easy access into longleat the festival of light is fantastic.

Horse and groom in east woodlands

The campsite staff were very friendly and helpful and the site is ideally situated for longleat safari. The first evening there we went to the above pub which we'd found online and is not far away. Cannot recommend it enough. The menu is extremely varied and very very good value and staff and locals very welcoming.

Chinese festival of light weekend

Hi just returned from longleat after visiting the festival of lights which was fantastic even tho the weather was awful we had a great time and didnt even notice any noise from traffic or the local wildlife which what you would expect staying so close to the park which I think is one of the main attractions of this site

Will be back

Just spent two nights over the weekend at this site. Wardens very friendly and helpful. Toilet block spotless as with all Caravan Club site. Yes there was an over active sealion but that life. I do agree with the other reviews on traffic noise but you do have to expect this due to the location of the site. Are bboked to return again this weekend. Laughing

Nice but noisy

It may be just the location of our pitch but we were woken every morning at 6 am by streams of tractors and clanky trailers going from the Longleat Farm into the park past our pitch. Chatting to others in different locations they also found it very noisy, largely from activities within the park - the Festival of Light is currently on so this may only be a seasonal problem. There was animal noise (a sealion kept it up all night) but we expected that in this location - the tractor noise we did not. It is a brilliant location if you want to visit Longleat, but not great for walks from the site as access to the Longleat estate itself is only for those with tickets. The dog walk is enjoyable - a mini woodland with plenty of places for sniffing and investigating. It is very muddy at the moment so wellies and much paw cleaning required. Facilities were spotless and the wardens friendly and helpful but the traffic noise did spoil it a bit for us so that is why we have given a 4 star rating overall.
