Amazing!!!

What a lovely site. The pitches are spacious and well spread out. There are plenty of things to do for all the family with the games room and park. The wardens are ever so friendly and helpful.  You can see the little train that goes around longleat from the site, and hear a variety of animals.  Some people had an issue with tv and phone signals, but we are definitely going to come back again!!!

A great way to spend an easter weekend

CoolAs we've come to expect with caravan club sites, this site is spotless, the facilities superb, the wardens, are welcoming, warm and friendly, its all you can wish for. What makes this site so special is that on top of that, you can walk into Longleat house with all that has to offer and for the cyclists amongst us, I found some nice lanes, which although a bit hilly and mucky, the traffic levels are low which leads to an enjoyable ride. For info if you do take the car into Longleat and do the Safari, the Rhesus Monkeys do have a penchant for the round plugs on the reversing sensors.... And the Mercedes in front of us had none left by the time they left the monkey enclosure...... Still well worth doing the safari though.... jsut for the entertainment value. We had read that you can here lions at night. We heard the sea lions making a racket and the odd roar of a lion...... MagicalCool

Perfectly located

Although less than an hour from home , we love this site, it is well laid out with spotlessly clean facilities that are modern fresh and well heated. Our stay over Easter was marred by poor weather and after storm Katie passing through one or two pitches were water logged but the wardens worked hard to get sorted. Wifi on the busy weekend was patchy but the reception map gives you the best locations for this. to was important this time and you need to use a bollard or satellite to get realiable coverage. The play area and games room was great for kids to make friends and the site was well used by cyclists on the site. This site is close to many great towns and cities and attractions and all less than an hour away, although I would recommend Bath park and ride or the train from Warminster when going into Bath.

Animal magic

This site is an excellent choice for a trip to the safari park, I've been told that you can hear the lions from the comfort of the caravan bunk at night... I didn't. The site is very well kept with good facilities, great pitches and friendly wardens. However, there is very poor tv reception even if you pay the £15 for a TV lead, no phone reception and no 3G and the radio only tuned to 2 local stations. The access to the site is also very narrow down a long muddy road. Passing is impossible and your van will get muddy. So I know people will scoff at the TVs and phone comment but on the weekend we stayed, believe me sitting out and socialising was not an option.  So I resorted to paying the wifi site fee - £10 per device! So a family of 4 would be £40 to keep in some sort of touch. Come on caravan club, per pitch please not per person. Plus it was the slowest internet connection I've seen in years. So a great base for what is a magical safari park but I will choose a different site next time.

Visit of Firsts!

We used the site as a stopover before visiting friends in Somerset. It was the first time we had been on a club site and it was their first night of the season. The site was well presented, clean and tidy. We didn't need to use any of the facilities as we have a motorhome but everywhere looked emaculate.  The reception staff were very helpful, friendly and efficient.  The site provided just what we needed to break our journey. This would not be a site we would choose as a holiday destination as it is too big and primarily caters for families. We prefer the smaller CL sites as a rule - being quieter and individual. But never the less it did the Club proud.

August BH

Great staff great location for Longleat park. Really like that the speed limit was strictly enforced for the weekend given the number of children on site

Happy New Year 2016

We were lucky enough to book this fantastic site due to a cancellation.  It never disappoints.  We went with 2 other families for a few days over new years.  Again it was a brilliant break. The site is always spotlessly clean and everyone is always friendly.  I love CC sites because after a long drive you are always welcomed with a smile from the wardens. Perfect again for our visit into longleat park.  We did have some exceptionally heavy rain fall but most of the site drained away quickly.  Looking forward to visiting again soon.

Fabulous Family New Year

We were away with our 2 children aged 14 & 6. Wonderful warm welcome from the wardens even though we arrived at the end of their working day. Usual caravan club facilities - clean & well maintained. Spacious pitch just by the well equipped family room. Longleat was stunning - festival of light was beautiful. Also went ice skating whilst in Longleat - a tad disorganised but the kids loved it. Longleat is a fabulous family site, well situated for a lot of other attractions - steam railway & Clarks Shopping Village this time. Major supermarkets only 7 min drive. Narrow approach to site but plenty of passing places. We're returning to this site in October but have visited previously several times at different times of the year - always a family pleasing site - something for everyone. Thank you to the friendly, very hard working wardens. Happy New Year!
