We spent two days for halloween and what fun! every effort was made by the staff and our daughter loved it! great for the dogs and in a beautiful location.
Our first time at the Clubsite - we brought two children who had a fantastic time, cycling until dark despite the inclement weather. We visited Longleat for two days but did not see everything so must go back - possibly for the Festival of Light. The campsite was friendly, clean and well organised. It had everything you need except a well stocked shop - just the bare essentials but the shope was only open from 0900hrs by which time we were away. The location is so close to Longleat that we could see the fireworks from our pitch.
Thoroughly recommend the Club Site.
Stay here every year but first time at Halloween. The wardens put in a lot of effort with decorations and story telling in the family room. Really enjoyed it. So easy to walk into Longleat, something for everyone there. Children's favorite was the deadly 60 challenge.
Another fantastic weekend at Longleat.
Family, new friends, fireworks and spooky fun for all at a site that feels so welcoming. The Autumn colours were spectacular in the unexpected sunshine and we even heard the elephant one evening - makes a change from the Sealions and Lions! Great site and hard working wardens, Thank you.
1st time at this location, excellent location, perfect for the house and park visit which we completed over two days {discount tickets via caravan club}. You pick your own pitch and the only error we made was parking under an Oak tree {lots of trees on site, hard to avoid} .... we had acorns bouncing off the roof all night... apart from that fantastic site and will return
We usually avoid school holidays, but as we were meeting up with our daughter and grandchildren, we booked in half term holiday. The site location was excellent for walking into Longleat grounds and the staff were very helpful in giving advice on visiting Longleat. We walked into the park in the morning and went on the first boat trip of the day, which avoided queueing. In the afternoon we went around the safari and avoided queues there to. The site was great for children.
Very Welcoming staff clean facilities could not fault anything. The location was very good for the Park. The staff at Longleat are very pleasant and helpful and really good with the children. We would certainly stay there again, and will recommend the site to friends and family.
We just spent a week here as it is close to friends and family. It is conveniently located close to towns and cities (i.e. Frome, Bath etc) for those wet days, if your unlucky enough to get them, but also some beautiful countryside including the NT Stourhead estate and of course the Longleat estate. Our first pitch selection was not the best as we had an oak tree dropping acorns on the roof. A bit like Chinese water torture. That's now on our selection criteria for Autumn trips. The site was well maintained and very clean, up to the best of CC site standards. A slight drawback is the distance back to the main road from the site (about 2 miles) and the circular routes you have to take to navigate around the Longleat estate, but that is a minor issue really. We visited the 'Horse and Groom' pub on our first evening. On the Thursday night it was very quiet and the bar staff a bit inexperienced (Q. What have you got on draft? A. That would be Ale would it? You'd better go and have a look, lol). There was also no evidence of food hygiene rating. We did think the menu was far too ambitious for a small pub like this. It's also not the easiest place to get to by road and it's a good 30-40 minute brisk walk to get there over the Longleat roads. However we had a good large and reasonably priced meal and the pub has a lot of character with lovely flowers outside. Overall we had a very enjoyable stay at this site and managed to visit my old mum and friends in Bath. May well visit again in the future.
Just had 3 nights , could not fault the site or the wardens or the facilities ; great cycling country Froome is lovely, impressed with the house and gardens and general facilities, although you will see more of the animals in warmer weather . I cannot believe people still drive through the monkey park when the bus is a great way to see things. The countryside colours have been stunning too. Thankyou again for help when we locked our selves out of our camper.xx
