Longleat

This was our first time on cc site. We were met by very friendly wardens who helped with our enquirers. I also liked the proper showers rather than press button operators. Site was very clean. We arrived with motorhome full of young kids & they thought the park area was great fun. I thought it was one of the best parks we have been to. I hope all cc sites are like this. We have told relations about this site & they are hoping to try it out next summer we will probably come back with them. Thank-you once again to the friendly wardens.

Nice Site

We stayed at Longleat during September 2016 as one of several Caravan Club sites we were trying for the first time. The site was not too busy and finding a pitch was straightforward. Obviously the site is in the grounds of the Logleat Estate, so it is very handy for that particular attraction. The facilities are the usual spotless CC standard, so no complaints there. My only criticism is the rather long, narrow access road which goes through part of what appears to be a farm yard. Those few yards of farm yard left the front of our clean van covered in mud, which we had to wash off on arrival. I would not want to meet another van coming the other way, on parts of the access road, as passing could be difficult. The hardstands are probably the hardest ground I have ever had to drive a peg in to. Even with rock pegs and a large lump hammer, putting the awning up was a very difficult job. I've never had this issue before during 40+ years of caravanning, is this a common problem on Caravan Club hardstands? Overall though, a nice site which has some lovely trees and views.

A real gem of a site

We stayed for 8 nights in December during the Longleat light festival and what a treat it was. The location could not be more convenient just outside the entrance and only a few minutes walk to a he house. The site is very well cared for with the facilities in excellent state of cleanliness and comfort, despite the sub zero temperatures the showers, toilets, washrooms and dishwashing areas were always warm and a pleasure to use. First class and highly recommended for staying and touring this area. P.S. as the managers for directions for the walk to the Heavens Gate; you won't be disappointed.

Outstanding

Site gives very easy access to the house and grounds. The site was always kept clean and tidy. Toilet and wash blocks were exceptional. WiFi easy to access, would recommend the purchase of an aerial cable a from the shop if you haven't already got one and use connection via power post as " normal " van aerial reception is sporadic.

Excellent

The site and the facilities were spotlessly clean, the Wardens were always very friendly and helpful obviously take a pride in their work. Even with the problem of frozen pipes they were still smiling. Well done. Plenty to do in the area.

Fab time

We stayed Early December & enjoyed the facilities of Longleat (such fun in the safari we felt like kids again)& thoroughly enjoyed the "Festival Of Lights" we also enjoyed The xmas markets at Bath & The Cheddar Gorge as well as The Caine Hill locks at Devises So much to do in a short distance .... The park was clean & tidy with an immaculate shower block & the luxury of under floor heating .... It was exciting to hear the animals in the back ground .... The only down side to this site was the noise from the service road the vehicle's started from 7.30am !!!! & really seemed to shoot up the road (A suggestion which may be out of the Caravan Clubs hands would be for a 5 mile an hour restriction on the road - the same as inside the site) - Then we can have our holiday sleep ins x

Festival of Light

We stayed over last weekend to visit The Festival of Light at Longleat which was amazing.  This was our 4th visit this year. The site as usual was clean and tidy, shower/toilet facilities were immaculate.  The wardens on this site are friendly, helpful and efficient and remember those of us that keep coming back.  Longleat is one of our favourite we have just booked today for two more visits in 2017. Excellent site.

Brilliant site

As usual brilliant site.  Very clean and tidy. Friendly, efficient wardens. We were there the last weekend in November and the site was full due to one small and one very large rally. It was amazing watching caravans and motor homes swarming into site on the Friday and out again on the Sunday. Nevertheless the toilet block was still clean and tidy and the site was not noisy in the evenings.  Not sure it is fair to have such a big rally on a popular site over a weekend, but the club is not going to turn down money!
