Just came back from Longleat and its Christmas lights. What a fantastic experience, well worth the visit.
The site was very quiet mid week but filled up at the weekend with several rallies. The wardens coped admirably with the influx, the facilities were spotless and all seemed to function well.
We had a great walk around the periphery of the estate to Heavens Gate, which seemed to be dog friendly most of the way (we don't have a dog).
Well worth the trip. Well done!
Shining Lights at Longleat
We stayed at Longleat for the weekend in order that we could do the safari and see the Festival of Light. What a great weekend. Very good advice from site staff about booking the safari bus as soon as we got to the park. We got the front seats at the top of the bus. The light show was wonderful and how convenient that we just came out of the site and were virtually at the safari bus stop. Site staff could not have been more helpful.

Great Family Site
We stayed here during the October school half term. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Our Children particularly loved hearing the animals from our van and they also loved the great sized play park provided. This site also went the extra mile in the run up to Halloween with activities and decorations which our children found great fun throughout our stay. Also the wardens here we found were always extremely friendly and helpful. They also maintained the site to a fantastic standard of cleanliness and were constantly keeping it tidy from fallen leaves etc.
The discounted entry into Longleat is also an added bonus as it made it more affordable for us as a family of four to visit. This was a great day out from the site which is also greatly located for other local attractions also.
We would most certainly visit again if in the area again!
Excellent Site
We live just 25 minutes away but love this site as it's spotlessly clean and the staff keep the whole site in a fantastic condition. Your right on the doorstep to Longleat House and all the attractions it has to offer.
Well worth a visit, we'll be back.
whoop whoop
Spent two great weeks here really well laid out site great to the animals, with some great walks, Great facilities as with all sites, bus stop a little way away same with Asda but easy cycle to pick up supplies, one to most defiantly head back too
Excellent site for a Longleat visit
The site was easy to find and the location was excellent.
The only reason I gave a lower score on the location was that it was very difficult to get back to the site after the Festival of Lights. It should be sign posted and detailed on the map how to get back. I don't know if we missed something very simple or obvious but we ended up going a very long way round to get back to the site as it was utter chaos coming out and the safari gates were closed, having two very tired youngsters in the car was quite stressful when we knew it was right next door.
This needs looking at to make it simpler
Other than that it was a wonderful site, clean, well managed and secure
Excellent Site
Excellent site, very friendly reception and service throughout our stay. This was our first outing with a caravan and we couldn't have chosen a better site for cleanliness, facilities and friendly/helpful caravaners. We will most certainly return to Longleat. Highly recommend this site but please be aware of the narrow approach roads... It is essential that you stick to arrival & departure times to avoid on-coming caravans. D & A

November Break
We've stayed on this site on numerous occasions over the past 10 - 12 years and it has always been superb. This was the latest in the year that we had stayed there and just wanted to have some down time with peace and quiet, so chose the week when Longleat was closed.
We had a really pleasant break with only a few other pitches taken until the end of the week , when Longleat's Festival of Lights started.
There are plenty of places nearby which offer peace and tranquillity and other for families.
We are already planning our return for next year and know exactly what we will find. A clean and well maintained site with cheerful and helpful wardens.
A special mention to the current wardens who were always happy to help. Thank you so much and we look forward to seeing you again in the spring.
