Back Again.

So, having just returned home from another visit to the site, mainly to see Longleat’s Festival of Light, (which is really impressive for adults as well as youngsters) I feel that everything I wrote on an earlier review is completely endorsed in this visit. We’d already bought an annual pass to Longleat 🦁 so we’ll definitely be returning to this site numerous times in 2019.

Great site 👍🏻

Having just returned home from 3 brilliant nights here, we reckon this to be one of the best Caravan Club sites we’ve visited. - The location to Longleat House & Safari Park was the main reason for us booking, but the site itself is so tranquil, clean and well maintained and the wardens are so very helpful and knowledgeable that we’ve added this to our ‘visit again’ list. - We’ve actually booked to return again in a few weeks. There’s an excellent dog walking area here, which is sadly lacking in so many other Caravan & Motorhome Club sites. (I find that quite strange) The only downside of this site if you’re a motorhome owner with no tow car (as we are), that the site is a bit remote with no nearby bus service, however the recommended walks more than compensate for this as does the Longleat attractions. —-Definitely a 5 star site rating from us—-

Great site for a visit to Longleat

Stayed here for three nights from 2nd October to visit Longleat House and Safari Park. Access to site is about two miles down a narrow lane with passing places. There are Club signs along the road to point you in the right direction. Well laid out with spacious pitches. Everything was as you would expect from a Club Site. TV booster point in EHU. Due to the time of year only one set of facilities were open, but that was fine as the site was far from busy. Just a 50yd walk from the site entrance takes you to the back entrance of Longleat. The only down side to the site is that there is nothing else of interest close by. The excellent informtion room gives walks in the area, directions to pubs and supermarkets in Frome or Wincanton. Thoroughly recommended.

Another lovely stay

Been coming here for many years, and it just gets better and better, now I’m on my own with a small Campervan I find the wardens so helpful and accommodating, especially when I had problems with my vans gas bottles, and a friend with her water drainage system, the site is all you would expect from a five star Caravan Club location, and out of season is peaceful and relaxed, but the icing on the cake is service given with a smile 😊

Perfect Site

What a lovely peaceful site. We could not hear any noise apart from birds singing. The site itself is very well laid out, the pitches are a very good size. The facilities are excellent and spotlessly clean. It is very nice to have a shower where you don't have to keep pressing buttons. The staff were very welcoming and helpful.

Nice site, limited access to anything other than Longleat.

The Bank holiday was our first visit to the site, it wasn't full which should have told us something.. The site itself is clean and well laid out. We are new to this clamping this year, however, this is the only site we have stayed at where noise on the site was intrusive. There is another review recently about noise, and I agree fully with it. There was a child on a bike riding around with a siren on, non stop... I full accept children will play, and we have 2, however, I didn't at all, ever see a parent with this child, he was all over the site, and generally a pain to be frank. Our neighbours only had one volume setting, Loud, and there children who were older were again louder trying to compete with their parents. At 2230 at night when they are the only van to be heard enough is enough... There was no sign on life from staff at all, and there weren't seen on site, other than doing jobs. We purchased WiFi for 24 hours, to see what it was like, it was so bad, we spoke to the staff and as nice as they were we got told there were two many people on it... Well thats helpful ! So we paid for something which didn't work... We paid for 3 nights, we left after 1, would we go back, unlikely, this is the worst site we have stayed on thus so far... Do not get me wrong, it is far from being a bad site, however, unless your visiting Longleat, (We weren't) we found it lacking in offering anything at all... Staff are very friendly, and the site is clean and the toilets etc are up to those on other clubs sites. Ideal for Longleat, but maybe not for you if your not attending Longleat.

Great Site, Great Staff

This is a great site for families with great staff who are all really friendly and helpful, a trip around the safari park is a must with the kids. It's great to be able to hear the Sea Lions calling in the evening with the occasional roar from the Lions too. Will definitely be recommending this site to others.

Great location for Longleat

Stayed here one night as part of our trip to Longleat Safari Park. We did the safari park first then checked into the site, missed the turning to the site as the signs are only noticeable coming from the other direction - however no big deal. Easy check in with nice staff. Chose our pitch near trees on the edge of the park nearish the entrance, it was flat with lots of space between our neighbours. Very clean and tidy site, excellent location for Longleat and enjoyed being able to walk the short distance into the park. If you are doing anything else except Longleat it might be a bit out of the way as not really near anything else.

Lovely, great staff, fantastic location

We stayed here in late July with our 9 year old granddaughter. Excellent lovely site, staff were very friendly & helpful, great location with a 50 yard walk into Longleat which enabled us to come back to our motorhome for lunch & then return to the Safari Park. Great site for families and it was quiet and peaceful. Our granddaughter loved riding her bike around. She also enjoyed the free nature trail. You can hear the seals from Longleat from the club site. Would highly recommend.

Enjoyed our stay

We had a enjoyable time at the site, wardens really good, however I do agree with the other reviewer who commented on other visitors who don't keep their kids in check. Yes its a family site but that does not mean let your kids go and pester the other caravaners. We booked outside school holiday time to avoid kids and we wont be the only ones to do so. For us, Longleat is a perfect base for visiting familly that live in that part of the country and is a excellent site, its just unfortunate that some of the other visitors have no respect for others, I know you can get that anywhere you go.
