Knarsborough

Quiet, we'll run site. Very friendly wardens. Followed instructions and arrived after 1.00 pm. Others arrived much sooner. Agree with other comments - rules should be followed. Will visit again.

Excellent site...but forget about the rules!!!

We have stayed at this site before and will do so again,  it is excellent!  The bistro is great and is a major attraction to many members who visit the site. So why the gripe? The Caravan Club emphasise (in bold type) that arrivals to this site must 'Please arrive after 1pm'.  Living only 90 minutes away,  we could easily have arrived earlier but respectfully followed the rules and arrived around 1330...only to find there was only one pitch left available.  That wasn't a concern,   until we very soon realized that day after day, new arrivals were being let onto the site on a regular basis before 12 noon,  the earliest we saw was 1115!! Why bother having rules if the only intention is to have them broken.  Maybe we are the idiots here and should join the rest by rolling up well before noon and taking our chances. Come on Caravan Club,  we appreciate the need for rules but once in place,  they must be enforced otherwise the rule breakers will ultimately rule!!

Excellent site

Our first visit to this site and will be going back. Great location for exploring surrounding area as can never get on the York site. The on site bar bistro is really good and recommended and good value.site is well kept and wardens very helpful.

Great Location

Our second visit to this excellent site. Convenient for Knaresborough, Harrogate and the Yorkshire Dales. As. Suggestion For an evening meal we would recommend Carriages in Knaresborough.

We'll be back

Our first visit and surely not our last.  The warden couldn't have been more helpful and with the added bonus on an on-site restaurant just about every need was taken care off.  It is a little way out of Knaresborough but the walk did us good and I'm sure given enough time we'll do the one round the Nidd gorge. As others have mentioned there can be the occasional bit of country noise.

Neat and Tidy

Second time here, but sadly, only a single night each time.   A little out of Knaresborough, so you need a car or bus, but within easy walking distance of Scotton, which has a great pub for food.  Good facilities, immaculately kept on site, all hardstanding and level. Nice place from which to view the solar eclipse...which we did last week!

Cracking first holiday of the year

Second time here and enjoyed it again. Lovely walk through Nidd gorge to Knaersbrough & since the last time the pub in the village of Scotton has re-opened which serves excellent real ales. They do food too but it is quite expensive. The only downside was we were on plot 4 which backs on to a farm track and early morning the tractors etc disturb you. Apart from that another very good site

we booked for 2 nights as a short break, wardens as ever, very helpful and attentive, this site is one of the caravan clubs best, with only a short hop into the historic town of Knaresborough, well worth a visit or two, lots to do and see, would reccomend this location to anyone, winter or summer, myself and my wife love this site, but see for yourself!

Pleasant site

The staff were friendly and welcoming. They advised us about pitches and local attractions. The pitches are neat hard-standings with some pleasantly planted areas. The facilities were warm and very clean, much better than the previous night at Milestone where they were chilly and dingy. There is a bus service nearby or you can walk into Knaresborough.
