Great stay

Here is a lovely clean and well kept site. The wardens are very helpful and pleasant. Its a very relaxing and peaceful site. The bar and bistro are good and a short walk off the site theres a bus stop which can take you anywhere. Facilities are really good. Showers are spotlessly clean. So good booked up again for later in the year.

GOOD BUT COULD IMPROVE

SITE VERY GOOD AND CLEAN. MALE STAFF VERY HELPFUL. BAR AND BISTRO GOOD VALUE. HOWEVER, IN  MY OPINION, DO NOT USE A PITCH IN PROXIMITY TO THE BAR AND BISTRO. THIS IS NOT A REFLECTION ON THE PEOPLE USING THE BAR AND BISTRO BUT THE FACT THAT EQUIPMENT IS USED IN THE BUILDING WHICH PRODUCES A CONSTANT DRONING NOISE. THIS NOISE IS NOT LOUD ENOUGH TO CAUSE ANY CONCERNS DURING THE DAY AS THE GENERAL DAY TO DAY COMINGS AND GOINGS "HIDES" IT. DURING THE NIGHT THIS IS ANOTHER MATTER AS THE QUIETNESS OF THE SITE NOW HIGHLIGHTS THE CONSTANT DRONING NOISE. WHILST IT IS NOT TOO LOUD THE NOISE GETS INSIDE YOUR HEAD AND PREVENTS A GOOD NIGHT'S SLEEP.

Hello would be a better welcome than you can't check in now!

Firstly let me say I have stayed here many times before and always had a great experience,my last visit I enjoyed but for the uncomfortable check in I experienced. I like many other caravanners now use the new app to view and check booking details etc. The app tells me 12 o'clock so off I trot.  I arrived and waited when the warden rushed out to tell me I was early and should do a 3 point turn and exit the site. I was sure I had checked and so i actually showed the info on the app to the warden. I was told to ignore that and look at my e mail. ..   I questioned what was the point of an app that gave out different info to the main system. I was told to go away a while and return in 25 mins which I did   (To be in a queue) Whilst away I rang the tech dept to advise of the glitch ,their attitude was great and thanked me for pointing it out and it would be corrected so the app would indeed supply accurate info and prevent others having the same issue.  For the next 3 days I watched people arrive at 12 and perform 3 point turns to exit .it was all a bit silly to be honest I later advised the warden that I had spoken to the web people and hopefully it should help them out with incorrect arrival times,I got a rather sarcastic "well done". A great little site but the arrival carry on left a sour taste for me. I sometimes think the wardens forget we are actually customers   .

Fantastic holiday

Peaceful friendly site, we shall most certainly be returning soon. Good central location to visit many local places and attractions or sit outside the van and enjoy the weather, wildlife, peace and quiet. Bar and bistro nice touch, and quiet you wouldn't know it was there. Contained all the hallmarks that is required and expected of a well run caravan club site.

What a site!

This was our first visit to this wonderful site and we were not disappointed.  Easy to find, very friendly and welcoming wardens, very clean and warm shower block, the site was emaculate - well done!  Easy access for buses into Knaresborough just a short walk from the site, and Ripon also worth a visit for the cathedral.  We will be back and many thanks for making our stay so memorable.

First time

The first time on this site and won't be the last.  Plenty to see and do around the area, Harrogate was very close, Ripon, Thirsk, York all within a few miles, really like Knaresborough, never knew it was so picturesque, this Waterside walk is very nice and on a busy Sunday morning with families and bikes its great. The site was excellent, clean tidy and the wardens very friendly, the Bistro was an added bonus, we tried it a couple of times, the meals are very good and reasonable. There is also a good pub within walking distance. An all round good site.

Gem of a site

Stayed here for the first time and was not disappointed, its a lovely site and well laid out. Arrival and checkin was good and the wardens were very helpful particularly when advising walks and cycle routes. The site has a small bar and tried it out a few times, a nice bonus and more sites should have these. Took a nice walk to nidd gorge and then onto Harrogate and back to Knaresborough. The walk follows the river for a large part of it, but you do need boots, then onto an open space before getting onto an old railway track which then arrives in Harrogate. Will definately return to this site

Superb Site, well located

Stayed here (2nd time but not the last time) for the Tour of Yorkshire Cycle Race.... easy to get to from the A1, easy walk into Knaresborough too. The race went past the end of the road, but I rode out from the site to another location. Great area for all kinds of activities and a new play area for children on site. Facilities were the usual Caravan Club standard and the wardens were very helpful above and beyond their remit. My family joined me over the weekend and also enjoyed the site, the Bistro was fabulous too for Sunday roast.  Will be back....
