Newbies

We christened our new MH at this site. Our first time out, we wanted somewhere not too far from home in case we had any major dramas. Thankfully everything went smoothly & we thoroughly enjoyed our two day stay at this excellent site. The staff were extremely friendly & helpful, nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The site is immaculate, from toilet blocks to the grounds, with staff members constantly busying themselves weeding, picking up dead leaves or just generally tidying up. Even when they were busy, they'd stop for a chat and to fuss our cockapoo. A gem of a site, which we will definitely be visiting again.

First visit but won’t be the last........

Been associated with the CC for over forty years and never previously stayed on this site. This has been our loss I might add. We have just returned from a 12 night stay and have very much enjoyed our time. This is a truly lovely area with so much to do and see. We were spoiled for choice of places to visit being both HHA and NT members. The site appears always busy and like Chatsworth needs to be booked well in advance. We didn’t eat in the onsite restaurant but did use the excellent Guy Fawkes pub in the village on three occasions. Excellent Yorkshire hospitality worthy of recommending. A really great site which.now discovered will be on our future radar.

Short Break

Just a 2 night stay but wish we could have stayed longer! Lovely well maintained site very peaceful and fantastic location with beautiful walk along the River Nidd to Knaresborough about 3 miles. Local pub The Guy Fawkes Inn is well worth a visit for food and excellent pint of Black Sheep!

Charismatic Knarsborough

This is one of our favourite sites! It’s a gem ,the pitches are decent sizes and a lovely set out site . We’ve dined at the Wanderer this time . Nice food & very pleasant service. Although the Guy Fawkes pub ,down the road,is still our favourite! But you can take your dog ,to the Wanderer, which is a bonus . Very handy for Harrogate too ,so a winner in our eyes . Great wardens make it a definite winner! Many thanks.

First Visit

This was our first visit to the site and we could not have been more pleased. Great location for visiting the area which has beautiful scenery and good link roads. Harrogate can be a bit of a bottleneck but that is where the big supermarkets are located so not a real problem. The site itself is excellent with lovely wardens who are very friendly and helpful. The pitches are hard standing and very level with facilities close by. The bistro was lovely with excellent food - the portion sizes were huge! The only downside of the whole visit were two inconsiderate dog owners which let their dogs use other people’s pitches as dog toilets - such a shame that let it down. I would have reported them but both left in the morning.

New Favourite

After several attempts to get onto this site we finally made it. Not disappointed! The site is immaculate and has great facilities, Good for walking and lots to do in the area. The only downside was the attitude of one of the wardens, you know who you are!! I will not spoil the review by furthering the complaint here but please do some customer care training!! The incident will not stop us from returning as the site has becomne our 'New Favourite'

3 Day Stay

This was our first stay here since the referb. Stayed for three days in fantastic weather in our motorhome. We could not fault any of the improvements. We ate in the bistro and the food was superb and the service was excellent, they even gave us both a free spirit at the end of the meal as it was my birthday, Chris in the bistro was an excellent barman and waiter. We hired a car for two days from Enterprise who collected us and dropped us back at site at the end of the rental and gave us 10% discount for being CaMC members. There was only one annoying point about the site and that was barking dogs. Why cannot some owners control their dogs. Members come to chill out not to be wound up by constant barking. Our mobile phone signal from 3 was non existant here nor was our 4G available.

Brilliant site

We came for the first time over the May Bank holiday. The site was full but still very quiet. We loved the walking through Nidd Gorge through to Knaresborough which is a beautiful little town. Plenty of walking, siteseeing and walking in the local area. Our dog also loved walking along the country tacks behind the site. Definitely return to try the little onsite pub which always looked quiet and explore some of the surrounding areas. Also lovely to see the friendly wardens we recognised from Stockton.
