Lovely site

Lovely site and we were given a very friendly welcome on arrival, which was after 6.00pm.  The location is beautiful and all the facilities that make one's stay enjoyable are there and kept in good condition. We are hillwalkers, so the site is ideal for us as there is no shortage of places for walking within easy reach.

Perfect & Peaceful

Lovely site, pitches nicely spaced out & a good choice. Facilities good though could do with another washing & dryer would be handy. Staff friendly & helpful. Area is beautiful & the local Café The Whistle Stop is just wonderful & so accommodating to all dietary requirements. Plenty of walks to go & a good base to travel further afield. True being The West Coast there are midges just go prepared... or go out of midge season but well worth stopping & recharging your batteries.

Summer in North West Scotland

This is a lovely friendly site in a spectacular location.  We had standard North West Scotland weather - lots of low cloud and showers. BUT...... you really do have to have a tolerance for the Scottish Midge to stay here.  By day 2 I counted over 80 bites on face and arms.  Caravannersin the know wore a netting over their heads which I would say is an essential. If you can cope with the Midge, then I would highly recommend - if you can't then go elsewhere.

A breath of fresh air!

The staff, Joy and Kingsley, are most helpful, answering all questions honestly. My time at Kinlochewe was a wonderful experience. One little tip: you do need steel pegs to go into the ground and use a 2lb steel mallet! Which are on sale at the site. Thank you both for a lovely break. I recommend the nearby hotel for dinner, but book ahead.

One of the best

Stayed for a few nights on tour of Scotland. Really lovely site, immaculate and with the most helpful and friendly (relief) wardens when we were there. The walks from the site are great. The site facilities are first rate. The garage / shop next door is a real boon. The scenery is stunning and the air very fresh !

Excellent Site

Had a lovely 3 night stay at this site recently. The wardens were lovely and friendly, site facilities very clean and tidy. The hard standing pitches are not the most beautiful but with all the rain up there in the Highlands they are necessary. The setting and scenery around the site more than made up for all that gravel. It was wonderful to walk out of the site and up into the hills. My four-legged friend and I loved it!

NOISY

This site is surrounded by some lovely scenery BUT is close to a very busy road, the hard standing is almost like camping in a car park. Not for us at all.

Excellent Site

If you want to be away from it all, this is the place. Beautiful location with friendly and helpful wardens. This is now our third stay. Only down side is the bizarre analogue tv network. If you dont have an analogue capable tv (who does these days) you are goosed, so take some DVDs if you are a TV addict. No wifi not really a problem for our weekend stays although I did manage a 3g signal sometimes. Its a long haul from Glasgow (at least 5 hours maybe longer towing) and even longer from further south. None of this matters once you are there. Although we have always had unusual sunny weather during our stays, this is Wester Ross , so take brollies and waterproofs, essential stuff in this neck of the woods. all in all a 5 star place.

Among the best Caravan Club Sites in the country

Kinlochewe is in our top three Caravan Club sites in the UK. The site itself is peaceful and has stunning views of Beinn Eighe and Slioch, the facilities are always spotless, and the wardens have to be the frendliest and most helpful there are. The only downside to the site is that there is no WiFi, whch is disappointing as we pay yearly to use the CC WiFi network. Good food and beer can be had at the Kinlochewe Hotel, although it pays to book if you're staying in the busier months of the year.
