One word review? "Average". Two words "Old Fashioned".

The site itself is in a rare setting for the mostly flat East Anglia. It’s on a hill. It’s also shaped around a well used golf course, so walking from the far side of the site to the entrance is quite a trek, and involves a long curving walk. The site itself is in a rare setting for the mostly flat East Anglia. It’s on a hill. It’s also shaped around a well used golf course, so walking from the far side of the site to the entrance is quite a trek, and involves a long curving walk. There are also large signs at intervals around the course, warning that the land is private and any incursion onto the hallowed turf would be trespass. Beware! The Incleboro layout is decidedly “old fashioned’ and all but the service pitches are merely marked by the usual simple peg. Some pitches are tiny and some are huge. It’s all a bit random. The grass pitches themselves are mainly contained within small cul-de-sacs. All very nice and cosy except.... don’t be tempted to investigate whether there are any spaces available by driving in. You may find them full. Turning around and exiting would be a challenge for any large outfit. Walking around the site to find a suitable pitch is the other option, especially if you enjoy a good hike. Remember that the site is far from level and you will get a good work out The map provided isn’t much use either. In common with many of the new maps that have been published for C&MC sites, the map defies the usual cartographic convention by not putting north at the top. The Incleboro Fields map has north positioned somewhere down in the right hand corner. What does make the chart almost useless is that none of the numbered pitches are actually marked on it. This may well have been “the way it’s always been done,” but we are now in the 21st century and a simple chart with pitch markings shouldn’t be too hard. Why is this important? The wardens cannot direct to you which pitches are vacant because they are not marked. The best that can be achieved is that “there may be a pitch” in a certain cul-de-sac. This isn’t particularly helpful. One final observation. The wardens here seem to be inspired by the green keepers next door and spend a lot of time cutting any visible grass to within a millimetre of its roots. Leave your pitch and they’ll be strait on it with a mower. All this is unnecessary, and environmentally unfriendly both in fuel and in terms of the wild insect life. It’s against the C&MCs policy which requires all grass to be left to grow to a standard length of 2.5 inches (about 63mm). So why do wardens persist in manicuring grass? And that’s the problem. Incleboro appears to have been run in the same old fashioned manner for many years. Reliance on “thats way we’ve always done it” is short sighted and inevitably, unsustainable. To sum up, if I had to pick one word to describe the Incleboro Fields site it would be....... Average. If I were allowed two, they would be “Old Fashioned”..

LOVELY SITE

Just got back home from this lovely site. When we arrived on site at 2 pm we did find it difficult to find a pitch but eventual found a spot. It was fully booked but I felt a bit cramped in. The washing facilities were very clean. No t.v aerial point which was disappointing since we only had a satellite aerial but couldn't receive any tv reception due to tall trees. Site is in a lovely location, plenty places to walk.

Brilliantly

Just left this great site after a fantastic few days. Yes, it’s big, but the first half doesn’t give that impression, the second half over the hill may do, depends what you want, We parked at the top of the first half and there’s a public footpath up there which was wonderful for access to the surrounding areas leading into the local village and then onto the beaches (Cromer and Sheringham definitely both worth the walk) ... loved it, Thankyou wardens and c&mhc x

Top Site

This is an excellent site with friendly and helpful staff. very well located between Cromer and Sheringham which are great beaches for swimming and also the beach at West Runton also very good cliff walks. The site was very well managed by the staff regarding cleaning and restrictions due to covid 19. Would highly recommend and will be back again in a couple of weeks

Jewel in the crown

What a wonderful site. Fabulous wardens - couldn’t be more helpful. There are some great views from the pitch if you are lucky to get one of the pitches with a view. Great location. Walk to East Runton is nicer than the walk to West Runton. From East Runton it is a short walk along the beach to Cromer. The crab from the small stall just as you arrive in the town was excellent. You can then walk all the way back to West Runton ( subject to tides) and to the site. Golf course next door never looked very busy. Excellent fish and chips at East Runton (shuts at 7.30) where you can go and eat by the sea wall or in the car park overlooking the bay - be aware there is a height barrier to this car park. Holt country park is superb, for £2 you can stay all day and if you explore beyond the confines of the park the footpaths go for miles. Holkham Beach is ok, but campervans and motorhomes Cannot park in the beach car park - you have to park up by the house and walk back - have no idea why they have brought in that rule. Slightly further out is Burnham Overy Staithe where you can park on the small riverside beach and watch the world go by AOTA walk to the sea with wonderful sand - quite a trek for little ones though. Ice cream van visits the site every day around 4 and travels all round the site. If you want a holiday by the sea, with some attractions for children but also a rat for adults, then this is hard to beat. We will definitely be returning.

Great site

Stayed her for the first time great site wardens very efficient and check in was smoth and well organised. Plenty of pitches to choose from we ask for recommendations as this was our first time warden advised a lovely little terrace only a few pitches which were all flat with lovely views. Walks from the site to the beach and cromer we had a lively meal at the local pub on the corner which was well set up for customers. Good walk over the hill from the site with spectacular views. Wardens were constantly about cleaning and checking site and toilets. Plenty of sanitizers available. Would highly recommend this site.

Another great break

This is our “first site of the season” to get our motorhome ready for the year. We were pleased to be able to get away, in July for a few days, and found Incleboro in fine form, in spite of the limits Caused with the virus. Bit of a queue to get in, but staff were efficient, and we pitched in our normal avenue easily. Facilities were managed with bands to limit occupancy, but once or twice these were ignored by some campers. I personally think 2 in at one time is not enough but it is early times. Well done staff. Only things we would change would be better arrangements for recycling, and change to electric ,quieter vehicles to tour the campsite by staff

1st visit to Incleboro Field & Had a fab family time

15 - 22 August 2020 Warm but with plenty of rain storms. We brought 2 grandchildren nearly 10 & 12 to this great site. The staff were very helpful when registering & always out & about cleaning & tidying & for help too. The facilities were very, very clean & had COVID-19 wrist band plan in place....(if only some or the campers would not forget to leave them for the next user!!!)... but generally this worked very well. The site is a horse shoe shape around a golf course (just watch for the golf balls when arriving, leaving or walking from the site!!!!) & is on many levels so make sure you take blocks to straighten your caravan or motorhome!!!. It's very clean & tidy, great for kids & adults too as there is lots of plots to choose from in different areas, some can be quiet & some near the play area. There's also plenty of WC/Shower blocks too which were cleaned & disinfected regularly. We stayed on a plot near the children's playground which the boys thoroughly enjoyed & also the woods at the side of the site too. Great for biking/scooters on the site too. The beach is a bit of a walk & as we had loads of beach stuff (including 2 big surfing boards) we took the car to the car park that charged only £3 all day parking. Little cafe and also WC at beach. Cromer is a nice walk, either through woods &/or by road & a lovely little seaside town but it was very, very busy, & its during COVID-19 so we wore masks all the time. We would definitely go again with or without the grandchildren.
