Great Site

This was the first time out in the van and the first time camping in 15 years. Finding a pitch that suits was easy with lots of choice ranging from full sun to full shade or something in the middle. The site is spread across a hill side so whilst it's possible to find a flat pitch you'll probably need levellers. Having found a pitch, all the faciitles are within easy reach and regularly cleaned so they're pretty well spotless. It was 1/2 term so lots of kids and dogs floating aout but all well behaved. The whole site is an oasis of calm. There's lots to do in the surrounding area with an excellent train service from West Runton if your feeling less active, or coastal walks and bike rides if your feeling energetic. Will visit again

Wonderful site and fabulous staff

Incleboro fields is one of the prettiest sites we have stayed on, that said it is a bit up hill and down dale, so don’t expect to get a flat pitch. The position is great, with views of the golf course and the sea, very easy walk to the sea and also super friendly village store. I can recommend the cafe on the green, lovely food. The main point of my review is to congratulate and thank the staff for their caring and supportive attitude. My husband was taken into hospital in the very early hours the day before we were due to leave. Ken the assistant warden and his wife Helen were just wonderful, Ken accompanied both the paramedic and the ambulance to our pitch and was such a calming presence, the ambulance left at 4am, and I still saw Ken working around the site that day. The whole team were just wonderful, we should have left on the Monday, but they said not to worry about anything, they had my back; I actually left the following Sunday, my son picked my husband up earlier and had taken him straight home from hospital. I felt that the staff cared and that made such a difference. I would also like to say how kind the people on nearby pitches were, just so lovely, made a horrible situation actually ok. Probably won’t return, but it’s a fab site with wonderful people running it.

Exactly what we want from a site

This is one of our favourites. Walks to Felbrigg Hall and to Cromer are very good walks straight from the site. Easy access to the North Norfolk Railway. Excellent local restaurant; The Pepperpot. Golf course attached. In Cromer the Red Lion Pub is very good if you like real ale and good food. Great fish and chips in Cromer. Good local pub in West Runton. The site has different areas to choose from. Needed our levelling blocks. Pleasant staff. Nice and clean. We will be back.

Lovely site

We stayed 3 nights in May and really enjoyed this site. Our first pitch was on a slope and even though we had ramps in place we still leant to one side. We moved pitches the next day and found a lovely, quiet spot on one of the terraces and could just about see the sea. A short walk takes you into West Runton and onto the beach. The next day we walked to Cromer, had our picnic lunch on the beach, walked to the lighthouse and back to site. Another walk from site to Sheringham, over Beeston Bump (a hilly climb), looked round the lovely shops and then caught the bus to Blakeney Quay. Looked around this quaint village, had a crab sandwich for lunch, had a walk then caught the bus back to West Runton. Bus prices were reasonable. There is a nice walk around the site and the bluebells were out. Would definitely return to this site.

P&Q in crazy times.

We stayed for only 2 nights at the May Day Bank Holiday and wished it could've been longer. Good friendly staff on arrival with all the information necessary and easy pitching, although ours was a little uneven but nothing that couldn't easily be sorted out with levelling ramps. The site was really quiet and peaceful but beware of the odd stray golf ball from the course that the site is based around. Maybe the club could construct some sort of unobtrusive barrier (high netting or similar) to help reduce the possibility of damage to outfits/cars? Good walks into Cromer via several footpaths, however the "coastal path", which we were looking for is basically along the A149 which is quite a busy road and not along the clifftops as you might expect - mainly due to coastal erosion. We are planning to go back for a longer Bank Holiday stay in 2022- Boris & Covid permitting.

Ok but lack of improvement in the site.

We have been coming to the site on and off for a number of years but the club doesn't want to move with the times here. There is a lack of serviced pitches and hard standing. The placement of pegs due to trying to rest the grass makes pitching a nightmare. Not a great start to the stay. Taking a bit of time and investment could improve the setting and stop the destruction of the grass in wet weather. Abbs field no longer allows awning because of drainage. We have seen outfits towed out by the tractor destroying the grass. Please invest and create more level areas. We understand the setting is lovely but please consider updating. This is one of the largest sites and seems to have had no investment. Also onsite with only 2 blocks open with about 2/3rds full and no reduction seems a bit wrong. Wardens friendly and block covid secure.

Wonderful relaxing break in great surroundings

This was our second visit to Incleboro Fields and it reminded us how lovely the site and surrounding area are. We stayed on one of the terraces and we were lucky enough have a little bit of a sea view. The downside to this was the uphill walk with the water but it did provide good fitness training! The site overall is surrounded by gorse, trees and the golf course. There are lots of slopes and so levelling ramps are definitely needed - you may even need blocks for some pitches. The sloping nature of the site does provide great views though and there are lots of paths to explore directly from and even through the site. I felt very safe as a woman walking on my own - there were lots of other walkers around and plenty of options to choose from without going too far. The weather wasn't especially great - sunny with a bit of rain and cold winds - so typical for May in the UK! Our terrace offered plenty of shelter from the wind so it was great to sit out on our pitch without getting too cold. We didn't use the facilities due to COVID but overall the site was well maintained and wardens very friendly. We had a lovely relaxing break and will definitely be back!

Lovely

Stayed here for a few days recently. Helpful friendly wardens. We were allocated a pitch due to the delightful wet weather. This was a great advantage as the pitch suggested to us was suitable for our motorhome - no getting stuck in mud and/or damaging pitch for others. Wash and toilet facilities were immaculate during our stay and covid safe too so happy days. The site is quite undulating but it seems alot of the pitches are terraced so most are level and well drained. Strangely there is a big golf course in the middle of the site and there are warnings about loose (golf) balls along the approach road and in various places around the site. Sounded scary but during our stay we were not affected by any stray balls (!) but it is something to be aware of. Easy to cycle to Cromer from the site or walk, about 2.5 miles. Town is not huge but alot of interesting shops and cafes even during covid restrictions we felt happy to visit. Only not so great point for us was the approach road is pot holed - no problem if like us you keep your speed down to 5 - 10 mph, and narrow - 1 lane with passing places. However, quiet location feeling like remote camping mixed with the easy access to the local town and usual caravan club luxuries (great showers & loos, great electric hookups, decent tv reception etc etc) makes it a winner for us. We did suffer poor mobile phone and data connection. No problem to us and to be fair, travel to Cromer and signal is great plus there is a public telephone on site if required.

Favourite site

We’ve just returned from a week at our favourite site. We didn’t use the facilities due to COVID as we are able to use our own in the van. The site is spotless but I have to say peaceful and quiet it is not! There seems to be an excessive use of lawn mowers, strimmers and leaf blowers. The staff obsessively mow the pitches the second anyone leaves even if they only stayed a couple of nights. When we were here in September this noise started at 8.00 and continued intermittently until the last van left at 12.00. Totally unnecessary in our opinion and we weren’t the only ones annoyed. During our stay last week they were using the mowers to pick up leaves! Other than that we love the variety of pitches on the site and will definitely be returning - maybe with earplugs!
