Hurn Lane Club Campsite
Great site. Wardens very helpful toilets and showers immaculate. Will come back many more times.
Such a shame
It was such a shame that after arriving on site to a great welcome from the Wardens and pitching on a lovely super pitch, that after a peaceful week the weekend became intolerable with loud speakers, music, then people turning up and shouting, using petrol mowers until ten at night in the adjoining caravan site just behind our hedge.
We and our neighbours in Hurn Lane could not believe it.
We and them will not be using this lovely site again because of the neighbouring caravan sites which almost surround Hurn Lane,
Please note - we were there in June when children were still at school, so we only had it at the weekend, we dread to think what it must be like during the school holidays.
I would like to say the site is well looked after by very pleasant Wardens.

The down side.
Difficult approach to the site, if walking the road is narrow with no footpath.
Wardens seem to see who can make the most noise with either grass cutting equipment or the little tractor, which is very loud, and how fast they can race round the site to carry out their duties or just for fun.
A very small dog walk right next to the children’s play area, not good.
I certainly won’t be going back.
Good site
Lorna ,Sally ,and the warden team are the best this site has ever had. The site is a credit to they,re hard work this is one of our favourite sites .there can sometimes be some noise from the nearby site but you can get away from it highly recommended
Not for us
Well we arrived here and found it very clean and well maintained. However very disappointed to find that for two days in a row our water supply on the serviced pitched was disconnected and our hose pipe was just thrown across the pitch. The first day this happened our clothes dryer was also taken off the grass, pulled apart and was sitting on the ground in two pieces.
I asked the warden about this the first time and was told they had been cutting the grass.
Surely the warden who cut the grass would put our equipment back in place.
Not happy about this at all.
On one occasion I was ask to leave the shower block as it was to be cleaned although I had just gone in there with a towel for a quick shower, they were cleaning it 15 minutes before the time stated on all the signs. It was 10am and the shower block was due to be cleaned between 10.15 and 11am.
The worst things for me was that as we were packing up to leave one of the wardens was walking around with a petrol blower, blowing all the rubbish grit and other dirt off the road towards our car and caravan. He was within 2m of our caravan. Not at all happy as it is surely common sense and obvious that you do not blow dirt over a customers setup.
I heard many other caravan users who also had issues.
They may wish to keep the site maintained to a high level but these wardens must understand that people like us are their customers.
This is one of many Caravan and motorhome sites we have been to but will not be going back to this one.
First visit
We have just returned from this site due to bad weather . The park is excellent spotlessly clean toilets & showers, plenty off hot water, hardstand pitches are large ,friendly staff & in a good location, we will return for another holiday in the future maybe get some better weather next time.
A NICE, WELL MAINTAINED SITE
We planned a week's stay at the site but unfortunately one of our party was taken ill and our visit was cut short. The staff were really helpful and offered us a refund for the nights that we had paid for but were unable to stay. This was our second visit to Hurn Lane and we cannot fault the site. The staff are extremely pleasant and helpful and the site is very well maintained. The shower facilities are light, airy and spotlessly clean with plenty of room. There is sometimes noise from other sites which are close by but this does not cause any problem. We would certainly visit the site again and recommend it to others.
Welcome Overnight Stop
After a 6 hour journey from Derbyshire ... roadworks on motorways🙄, it was a very welcome break on my journey to Cornwall.
Located about 10 minutes from the M5 the site is easy to find. Although surrounded by other commercial sites, this site is private and on this occasion, very tranquil.
First impressions are that the site is immaculately presented. My serviced pitch was spacious and well maintained. The wardens were efficient and friendly.
For me the best thing was the local beach. Five minutes drive away, the beach offers miles of golden sands. Ideal to exercise my stir crazy dogs😜.
I’d not hesitate to stay at Hurn Lane again and it’s ideally placed to break a journey.

Lovely stay
We stayed here for only one night with our two black Labradors. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The beach is only a ten minute walk away where the sands are gorgeous and you can walk for ages. The dog walk on the site is small but a great help late at night.
