Avoid school holidays

Great site when school is in but February half term we had kids kicking footballs at our caravan. Parents parked car in front rather than at the side of caravan leaving us restricted space to manoeuvre on leaving. Site is excellent when children are at school. Very well kept. Shower blocks excellent & pitches well kept. Very quiet area with lots of birds.

Happy Break

Just returned from Hunters Moon, cannot agree with someones comment on the shower block being cold,in fact every area was warm, but everybody is different. Lovely walks from the site, once into Wareham Forest it goes on forever. The site was spotless, just a shame that in the large dog walk someone thought fit to throw their dog poo bag into the bushes, when the bin was only twenty paces away. The one wet day allowed us to go into Poole, which is not far away.

Good luck Steve & Cheryl

We have visited this site a number of time, facilities spotless, lots to do in area, walked Lulworth to Durdle Door and back, car park £3 for 2 hours, to park on Swanage seafront is 80p for 1 hour Only thing about site is that there is a pub very close called Silent Woman which does not permit children A huge thanks to the wardens, Steve & Cheryl, who have always been very welcoming and friendly, its been a pleasure and we wish you a very happy retirement

shower block

It was a cold weekend in February and unlike previous visits during the winter months, we found the shower block quite cold. This was unusual for hunters  moon. We have recommended this site because of the very warm block, something we won't be able to do again.

Our first WINTER outing

Site and all facilities - pristine, with the showers HOT and the toilet block nice and warm. Didn't have much contact with the wardens but they were helpful and friendly when we checked in and chatty when met around the site. Good location a couple of miles from (the delightful) Wareham. Another reviewer commented about the road passing the site being narrow and busy with no footpath, I agree. Not a problem for adults but with children extra care is definitely needed. All in all a lovely stay, weather was fine and cold but it was a good refresher after the excesses of Christmas.

Nice site, friendly wardens, shame about the road!

we've stayed here 3 times now and always find it to be spotlessly clean, well run and good for visiting the surrounding area which includes Lulworth Cove, Corfe Castle, Poole to name a few. The only problem with the locations is that it is by the side of a busy road, which makes it difficult to walk along to the nearby Wareham Forest. Not totally impossible, as there are muddy verges to hop onto when cars speed past. A path would be great. It is a couple of miles to the train station also, so not easily walkable and night time walking is a definite no. Shame really, as the pub just a mile away is fab. We used a taxi one day to take us to the station which cost £7, but was very reliable. There is parking at the station also, but if you have a large motorhome to park, then maybe not! Wareham itself, is a very pretty place with many nice restaurants and little independent shops.

Lovely early break!

We decided to have a January outing in the van for the first time, totally loved this site quiet and very clean!! Super staff very friendly and helpful. The site has direct access to Wareham forest which is fantastic for walking the dogs. TV reception is dodgy, even when using the booster in the bollard. A very well maintained site with a good on site dog area and a massive field for kids to utilize. The silent woman pub was only a couple of mins away and a fantastic Sunday lunch was enjoyed. The pub is fantastic, being adults only, children are allowed in the beer garden and outside areas, but the dogs are welcome in the bar..!! We will be returning a little later in the year when hopefully it will be a touch warmer!!
