First trip with Caravan Club

We have been using a motorhome for some 40 years and we have just had our first experience of a Caravan Club site.  We were extremely impressed with the site, the friendly welcome from the site managers and the overall high standards. We look forward to our next stay at a club site.

Hunters Moon

Really nice site, very well kept, toilets and showers were spotless, pitches were large with bags of room for a caravan, awning and car, wardens were polite and helpful, it was our first stay here and we loved it, we will be back to stay again and can highly recommend this site, all amenities on site were really well planned with easy access, 10 out of 10,

First ever caravan trip

We purchased our first ever van on the monday and despite it being February felt compelled to try it out so headed to Hunters Moon. We have 3 children 6 Years and under and were impressed with the spotless and warm toilet blocks and facilities, the baby room was a real plus, the site staff welcoming and this is a great introduction to Caravan Club sites. The location is great but means you are fairly reliant on a car and there looks to be a great local pub 0.5 miles away but doesn't take children which is a shame. No hesitations in recommending this site and we will visit again.

Avoid school holidays

Great site when school is in but February half term we had kids kicking footballs at our caravan. Parents parked car in front rather than at the side of caravan leaving us restricted space to manoeuvre on leaving. Site is excellent when children are at school. Very well kept. Shower blocks excellent & pitches well kept. Very quiet area with lots of birds.

Happy Break

Just returned from Hunters Moon, cannot agree with someones comment on the shower block being cold,in fact every area was warm, but everybody is different. Lovely walks from the site, once into Wareham Forest it goes on forever. The site was spotless, just a shame that in the large dog walk someone thought fit to throw their dog poo bag into the bushes, when the bin was only twenty paces away. The one wet day allowed us to go into Poole, which is not far away.

Good luck Steve & Cheryl

We have visited this site a number of time, facilities spotless, lots to do in area, walked Lulworth to Durdle Door and back, car park £3 for 2 hours, to park on Swanage seafront is 80p for 1 hour Only thing about site is that there is a pub very close called Silent Woman which does not permit children A huge thanks to the wardens, Steve & Cheryl, who have always been very welcoming and friendly, its been a pleasure and we wish you a very happy retirement

shower block

It was a cold weekend in February and unlike previous visits during the winter months, we found the shower block quite cold. This was unusual for hunters  moon. We have recommended this site because of the very warm block, something we won't be able to do again.

Our first WINTER outing

Site and all facilities - pristine, with the showers HOT and the toilet block nice and warm. Didn't have much contact with the wardens but they were helpful and friendly when we checked in and chatty when met around the site. Good location a couple of miles from (the delightful) Wareham. Another reviewer commented about the road passing the site being narrow and busy with no footpath, I agree. Not a problem for adults but with children extra care is definitely needed. All in all a lovely stay, weather was fine and cold but it was a good refresher after the excesses of Christmas.
